Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Untradeable - 2014-01-04 KhainiWest Wrote:They should have rolled back to thoroughly get rid of everything, taken the downtime to also flag out who heavily abused it see what transactions they made, perma any account associated with a large movement, if anyone is falsely banned through this method, wait for a ticket, IP cross it to see if any ips match. It's a rather retarded statement to say "OH wElL it AFFECtS CASUAL PLAYERS", because maplestory is a time sink and the only impact is different rolls on cubes/scrolls. Which to be honest is a less of a big deal than a dozen ish players having infinity funds and proving that Nexon simply doesn't punish hackers. Let's just roll back everyone to v0.30 since hacks clearly didn't exist before then. Problem Solved. Well if you want to be lazy and just roll back without followed up management then yeah we should Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - GunPowder - 2014-01-04 street Wrote:I really don't see the mind blowing economy damage. Boss nebs didn't reach 50m. Also about the mesos it probably was already in the mix before it went public. The ones that did dupe already have billions of mesos stored away. Fm sales were dead imo nothing has been really selling in the few weeks Dojo is what bothers me most. Since so many people took advantage of the duping, it's impossible to get the top 50 gloves, unless you finish Dojo in less than 10 minutes... Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Mazz - 2014-01-04 From the Nexon forums: Quote:From what i understand if you had a large number of certain high value items you may have encountered a trade ban so the GMs could check if you got them legitimately or if they were duped. I assume something in you inventory set off the automated system. They will check your case and unblock you as soon as they determined you weren't involved in the hack. Pretty much as everyone guessed, if anyone was wondering how they determined which accounts to hellban. Fair enough system, given the chaos that has ensued as a result of the hack, but no means of tracing items that were already used, hence the importance of players reporting those who they suspect have used duped items. link Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Tigeon - 2014-01-04 Mazz Wrote:From the Nexon forums: ~sighs So basically if your gear is decent your suspected. I guess I should be flattered that nexon thinks im getting good enough to be suspected if it wasn't totally ironic. But I guess I can see their point..[albeit grudingly] I just hope they un-hellban everyone who had not taken to illegal items =x But yea like I asked in the other thread...what are the chances of us getting un-hellbanned on a weekend? Slim to none right? Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Kirov - 2014-01-04 I guess that's why i have never been hellbanned lol Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - SaptaZapta - 2014-01-04 Mazz Wrote:From the Nexon forums: Except that doesn't explain why some dupers still had shops with stacks of AEEs and boss nebs after the maintenance. Unless, as before with the chaos scrolls (?), a stack of 100 is suspect, but 20 stacks of 99 is not. Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Mazz - 2014-01-04 SaptaZapta Wrote:Except that doesn't explain why some dupers still had shops with stacks of AEEs and boss nebs after the maintenance. Are there any screenshots of shops like this? I haven't seen any, I've just read a lot of people saying they're out there. and I think those players were probably hellbanned, but there was an 'exploit' (dunno how it worked exactly) involving the wedding system that allowed players to temporarily bypass their hellbans, so they could transfer stuff to mule accounts that weren't blocked. That is fixed now though. They'll be discovered, just probably after the hackers have either sold their items to legitimate players or used them on items... Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - MissingLink - 2014-01-04 SaptaZapta Wrote:Except that doesn't explain why some dupers still had shops with stacks of AEEs and boss nebs after the maintenance. Well if there were shops with stacks of boss nebs, they are laying low or confiscated by now. I used that maple fm service to hunt for Boss Nebs and found: Scania: Q2 .9B mesos Windia: Q9 1.25-2.75B Bera: None Broa: Q5 1.1-1.5B Khaini: Q3 (all 20%) 1.5-10B YMCK: Q2 3.5B GAZED: Q1 4.3B Agreeing with Mazz; SS or BS Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - dowie - 2014-01-04 Mazz Wrote:Are there any screenshots of shops like this? It's just a level 30 Evan with the starting crap. >_> Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Marksman Bryan - 2014-01-04 Daakun Wrote:But if they hellban for gear, why the heck is my bingo mule alt account hellbanned? I like MountLag;'s theory Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Daakun - 2014-01-04 The account has literally never set foot in the FM before. Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Takebacker - 2014-01-04 Daakun Wrote:The account has literally never set foot in the FM before. That doesn't matter at all. You don't need to be in the FM to have benefited from a dupe. It wasn't part of their criteria, and it shouldn't be. Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - Daakun - 2014-01-04 All I can really think of for suspicious activity is I've drop traded to it a few times to use a few red shop cubes. Update - Unscheduled Server Maintenance 1/1 - MountLag - 2014-01-04 Is it an alchemy pot mule? I guess they think resistance potions are suspicious lmao edit: either that or easter egg buffs |
