Similar to the Channel Tunnel and how it connects England and France. maybe it's the location of the Battle Frontier? with the Battle Tower being the Big Ben.
The more I think about this idea the more I like it.
Also imagine if the legendary trio this gen are UK based. One based on England, one based on Scotland and one based on Wales. and maybe a tag-along based on Ireland (Leprechaun fairy pokemon?)
