See, I used to always think this too, but then I always looked at the artbook once, and then never touched it again.

Yyyyyep... I called Gamestop and they won't have it available for a while. The best the woman on the phone could estimate was, "maybe sometime later this week." She also sounded annoyed when I asked the question. lol

I'm not so sure. Fire Emblem seems to be doing far better in terms of preorders/interest than anyone could have predicted, and they're seriously pineappleing the games potential sales over by not having it ready on release.
And if they were doing it deliberately, they'd still want to get the Fire Emblem 3DS bundle in, more consoles in peoples hands would outweigh any possible benefit of a few extra eshop sales.

Canada seemed to be unaffected. There was the whole fiasco with our EB Games/Gamestops releasing them a week early (I booked it to my store to get it before they shut it down, which they did two days later), but apart from that I haven't heard of people having difficulty finding it in Canada.

Edit: North American Nintendo direct announced too! Strangely, the EU one is only for Nintendo 3DS games(Presented by Shibata and Iwata), while the American one is for both 3DS and Wii U games.

Dreaming and setting yourself up for disappointment are different :p. I would love to be wrong, but if I set my expectations reasonable, I tend to come out of these things happier.
If I see a Fire Emblem Europe date, and a Animal crossing date, I'll be happy. Anything else is just icing on the cake.
