Let's cut out all the redundant words in the English language too. While we're at it, let's cut out the fraction system, because it's redundant to the decimal system.

Pineapple it, lets just go back to binary -- where things make sense.

Americans created their own versions of units and football so they could brag to the other world about inventing them.

I am fine with metric with exception of driving.

MPH just seems better because I don't feel like saying I'm driving along at 70 when I'm just doing like 40 MPH.

Well... at least the United States of The Netherlands invented the United States... so it's not all wrong in America... :+)

Oh and big plus: At least they drive on the right side of the road too, like all civilized countries! Big Grin (sorry British Empire lolz)

Founding Fathers were hipsters, it's official.

Is that floating point?

It just says 60 if you take it in ASCII.

Engineers would love to switch to metric, except they're too busy dealing with calculations, yelling at contractors, saving time, and doing things according to standard. And get sued if they fail to do any of that.

Engineering is done in metric.
Architecture is done in the other scale.

If you meant the scales, then yes.

Otherwise, I don't see what you're talking about.

I have to make sure to change my units depending on which type of drawing I'm doing, or else I end up with everything borked and I'd have to re-draw it just to fix it.

Scales mean everything in the world of drafting.
