As an avid monster book collector, this was my biggest gripe with it. It should have been a random drop, but it also should have been a quest too, where you could select an empty slot in the book, select an option like "start hunting" and if you killed some predetermined number of the monster the card becomes yours. At least then even if you spent a four hour 2x drop card hunting for it and nothing dropped you'd at least have something achieved. But that's all gone now

Monster Book would've been more fun if it had been less random. Like the bestiary in Star Ocean 4. They did it right.

It also causes a lot of lag. I had to turn off that display. x_x
They screwed up a bunch of stuff with this patch. The trade window crashes the client, the Fishing event they just started kicks you out of the map as soon as you enter, and a bunch of other stupid stuff.

I only liked it when you attacked them. With the way they made it just now, it creates a ton of unnecessary lag, which makes it less feasible for lower quality computers to be able to play the game.

If only players would keep their ''achievements'' to themselves. I personally don't care how long it took some random nobody to ''work'' for a level 200 character, I'm not going to call them ''nolifelol'' or anything, but geeze. If anyone wants to spend time leveling a beginner up to 200 on green snails after a span of 20 years, be my guest, if you feel you have achieved something, that's great. But once you start saying that every other player should have to go through the same crap to appreciate the process you went into it, it's annoying.
I, on the other hand, would like to experience the enjoyment of other classes at other times and do not want to waste my time doing the boring and mundane process of constantly leveling up to 70 over and over again, it gets old. I do not see how this is a bad thing, if someone makes it to level 100, then wants another character at level 100 without wanting to rego through all the old crap, that's not any of my concern and I'm not going to try to cut in on their enjoyment, their STORY(not YOUR story).
This is like complaining about a new game+ feature.

I don't really mind either. If someone creates this level 100, it's not like there's going to be one lvl 100 more running around, since you can't play both chars at the same time. The only consequence I can think of is less level 100- running around with godly gear ksing other people because they think they're better because they have a level 150 and buy loads of NX.
I'd never buy one of those though, since I enjoy level 100- and 100+ equally.

funny thing maple is a 2D game...
I play WoW in windowed mode, with 5 addon running at the same time, one that always show the HP bar/monster's name, and I have no lag, even doing raids/PVP battle. maple used to lag me on my old computer, esp when zak used the 1/1 skill and full map lightning atack, but i could run cod black ops just fine...

haha i know right, maple must be horribly coded or something to lag this badly. With my gaming rig, such a game as maple should not take this long to load nor even lag me at the least.

You have to already have a +100 character on the account to buy more level 100 characters on the same account.

I don't mean to be rude but this is JMS, as in Japan, maybe they wanted this and Nexon JP gave them that.
Japan's internet is way faster than most of the world's so they should not get extra lag from those little labels.
Regarding the lv50 and lv100 maple lives, i dont know how much is the "P" to yen exchenge rate, but buying those maple lives should be expensive. Also, you DO need a lv100 char to use the lv 100 maple life. In fact, I wish GMS can get those.

This is why I quit MS nearly 2 months ago. The disparity between those who can afford a lot of NX and those that can't or won't is ridiculous. It maybe Free to Play but it's Pay to Succeed/Gear/Advance. for $15/month I can get the cake and eat it too. Here all you get are crumbs. If you want more, prepare to lose your arm. As far as for caring for us, they don't give two fucking shits.
