Hmmm. Just noticed this amazon thing. My fiance and I are going to be buying a few kindles and e-books from amazon for our kids this christmas.... I'll have to remember to use this! (if I can figure it out)

It's pretty simple. You just click the Amazon link on SP (either the tab, or your appropriate version in the Click Thru Links) and make your purchases from there instead of going directly to Amazon, then SP gets the referral credit.

New Way you too can Support Southperry! - Katie - 2011-08-16

Is your credit based on how much is purchased or by the number of purchases?

It's a sliding scale where the more that gets shipped the more each purchase becomes worth.

Total Items ShippedReferral Rates
1-64.00%
7-306.00%
31 - 1106.50%
111 - 3207.00%
321 - 6307.50%
631 - 15708.00%
1571 - 31308.25%
3131 +8.50%

Note that's items, not checkouts, so 10 items one at a time count the same as 10 items purchased at once.

3131+ items.. Jesus. That's a lot of items.

New Way you too can Support Southperry! - Katie - 2011-08-16

Is that chart you posted items per person or items total? cause holy cow 3131+ items for 1 person is crazy lol

I'm sure they have corporate affiliates who can do it easily.

Items period. Doesn't matter how many people the items that ship are representative of.
1 person with 100,000 items is the same as 100,000 people with 1 item each.

Oh crap, I just bought a £200 monitor and a £15 poster and forgot |:

wish i would have seen this before i dropped $600 on books... lol

Quick, yet important question: I'm currently making a cart with all of my novels for English classes and a couple other things I want (read: LOTSAITEMS) in a general Amazon tab. Can I close out of said tab, click back to Amazon through the redirect link at the top of Southperry, then go immediately to my basket and purchase everything with the donations still working?

I think so.
I should still tag the referrer since you pass through it before going to checkout.

Guess we'll know for sure after you try Biggrin

(Well, after they ship)

Eos Wrote:And I question how you've arrived at the "not huge" conclusion considering my bedroom alone is the size of two or three efficiencies, not to mention the house can hold eight, easily.

I deal with housing and housing related stuff, due to the normal size of houses I deal with yours isn't even close to "huge". It might just be your area, but in the areas I work in ripping everything out costs around 6 - 10k (8k financing) so that is why I was kind of surprised by the 12k price tag.

Eosian, how do you feel about being "mocked"?

"LIKE DUDE! I JUST BOUGHT 20K+ IN ITEMS AND I TOTALLY FORGOT TO USE THE LINK! SORRY BRO!"

Oh yeah, I did the same thing. Hopefully it works.

Just placed the order through the link. 12 items, so yay for 6% referral rates, but meh @ the fact that said items didn't total a huge amount. Fingers crossed it still works and Southperry gets the couple bucks!

New Way you too can Support Southperry! - Eos - 2011-08-22

At the very least it'll be nice to know what "works".

Lemme know when they ship and I'll verify.

New Way you too can Support Southperry! - Spaz - 2011-08-22

I did that (put stuff in cart, realize I forgot to use the SP link, click to Amazon via SP, complete purchase) about a month ago with that anime sale. If you see Code Geass, Fumoffu, Gunslinger Girl, School Rumble, and Ghost in the Shell, it works.

Disappointing if true, none of those seem to be present year to date.

I am going to guess it didn't work. Month to date I still show nothing but two text books.

Damn. Yeah, I've already received 75% of my orders. So future notice to all: you must create the entire order through the Southperry link, not clicking through it when you're ready to place the pre-made cart order.

I've updated the OP to include that tidbit as well, since it's apparently rather important to the whole point.
