Hackers have honestly, literally, ruled over Maple Story, -always-. The hacks, exploits, etc are getting more extreme this year though for sure.
It's pretty insane to see how Maple Story is just being ripped apart and collapsing as time goes on. The core of our version doesn't even work properly anymore.

It's the one of the most played if not the most played Free to Play online game...What do you expect? The more the people the more the hackers and not only that I've never seen hackers work so hard to find exploits in MapleStory then any game I have ever heard of or played myself.
This game doesn't get ridicules it's just the way it is, get over it.

No seriously Coogi, drop it, Nexon isn't doing even a half ass job anymore. Nexon is well aware that there are packet pushers, and yet they don't think what someone could do with that ability, for instance, strapping a bomb to ones self. Nexon programs like every player of their game is pure of heart. Which is one of the main reasons they pineapple things up time and time again. Also, if you call Maples hacking community diehard, you haven't played too many games, all I can say.

Drop it? I made one post in this thread...and are you confused or something? I never mentioned Nexon working hard or trying to fix anything, hacking is just part every game but people here and many other forums complain, cry get butthurt over things that's been here for years I don't see why people wanna continue to kick the dead dog it's something MANY people need to get over it's never gonna stop even if Nexon TRIED to stop it they couldn't do it.
Nexon patched many hacks these last few server checks so there doing a lot more then nothing.
Long story short if you're gonna peach about hacks all the time then you need to quit this game, now.
And Yes, I have played many games I can say I have played over 70 MMOs and not just Free ones.

Telling hundreds of players to quit whining is every bit as useless. If you've played over 70 MMOs you should be well aware by now that telling people to stop venting their frustrations over a game will get you nowhere. And more than likely cause more of it.
And he's right in saying it has gotten ridiculous: As... being able to kill players has never happened before, its a justified statement to make.

It's more of this just forum people wanna complain and cry all the time and insult Nexon every time they get a chance too..Hell at least Nexon got on this and fixed it ASAP and didn't take a week it just seems sad that there's more crying then actual discussion of the game. I know it's what forums are used for most of the time but there are Fan Sites not Hater Sites but yet still play the game. You gotta admit it's sad how some people will insult Nexon so bad but yet they still play the game I can understand some frustrations on them taking weeks or months to fix something but go "oh another new hack nexon is fail they can't do anything right this game is crumbling" things like are pretty sad then they kiss ass when we get a nice patch then the next patch " god this patch sucks maplestory is starting to suck now, I'm quiting". I see it all the time...then there's the kids that hang around here that don't even play MapleStyory I can understand if you're taking a break but if you completely quit and you come around dogging everything it's kinda sad IMO. It's like "hey lets hang around High School ( even though I'm not in High school anymore ) Lol."
I know, I'm probably taking this out of proportion and I'm quite sure I'll get flammed by a decent amount of people. But oh it's the truth in some way and then my opinion in another.

Nexon, is patching this, because this is much more dangerous than D/C hack or HT hack. And will make a lot of players lose their confidence in the game and quit or stop buying/trade NX.
In the business point of view, Nexon is right. Doing a patch that prevent the company to lose money.
In general, until a new players be aware of the other exploits (like DC hacks), preventing him to acquire 4th job skill books (depending on the job he choose), buying or earning, he already gave to Nexon an expected amount of money.
I don't understand about micro transaction system or game design. Or if a long term player is better or worse than a thousands short term players.
I am just expressing my opinion, my thoughts about this problem.
