I'm also European (French), used to live there, have gone back several times to visit, and just don't understand the hype. I guess my extended stay there has ruined the novelty for me.

Yeah. I'd say the fun of going to a different country is experiencing what you haven't where you live/have lived.

I've had to transfer flights at Narita before. No time at all to even look around.

great things like ? seriously, maybe as a tourist its fine, but living here ? nightmare. i suggest vietnam, been there before. ben than(?) markethave cheap stuff. the bargaining is awesome. though the shopkeeper forces you to buy stuff.
IF you really do come to singapore gimme a call :p we'll go to the singapore flyer, chillin' at the newly built marina barrage, go shopping around orchard road and pray it doesnt flood.

No, really, I heard it's a great place to go settle. The government has longterm plans for microindustry and the such. I read a while about this and it amazes me.
