Dusk Wrote:I honestly don't find Dark useful at all while training. The damage is barely noticeable, especially when you spend all your time mobbing. I added a point in Yellow at level 30 because the attack speed is great, plus you get a bunch of speed later on.

Faster (2) attack speed with Body Boost is amazing. soooo fast

Evil wings is speed 4,bosster is plus 2.

So,in that case,dark is useful.

Battle mage guide - Stereo - 2010-12-23

Pyogo mushroom on the other hand is fast5 so it's useful there. Assuming you can find one.

I'm sticking with Maple weapons for the time being though, if I actually get past 70-80 I'll consider going low-luk.

I plan to do the same build actually. Super body being in much higher priority than i did.

Yea I changed my post before you quoted, but I'm not sure, I completely forgot Dark Chains when I posted, but now I'm 91 and the extra monster count on it doesn't matter and the damage is neglible as it doesn't OHKO, I'm thinking of using my SP reset to max out Body Boost right now.

Just be sure I'm using Booster, Yellow Aura, and a Normal Speed staff, will I get a speed boost from Super Body or have I already hit the limit?

I swear everytime I afk @ roids the stupid security camera gets summoned and kills my Bishop :\.

You do get a speed boost from Body Boost. Normal (6) -2 (Booster) -1 (Yellow Aura) -1 (Yellow Body Boost) = Faster (2). I've been using a Maple Wisdom Staff and Body Boost is great even at level 1.

Battle mage guide - Stereo - 2010-12-23

Which (if any) does SI interfere with?

Another class who can get a Slow(8) to the speed cap would be interesting. Arans of course have +3 booster, +2 SI, +1 Aura to work with.

Doesn't work with HB nor % HP equips.

Battle mage guide - donovan - 2010-12-24

Decided to go Dark Chains after Body Boost, stopping for the night @ 96, at least 103 tomorrow for my new staff, still using Wisdom Staff.

How does Battle Mastery work? The attack shown on the stats menu doesn't seem to increase when I add more points into it. Is it the damage from skills used, or is the extra percent just tacked on to the hit, and not shown on the stats at all?

It's like Elemental Amplification for mages. It's just a passive multiplicative boost on all your attacks.

some possibilities on how body boost works:

1) works on the aura you're currently using.
2) works on the aura your party is getting from you and the aura you're currently using.
3) works on every aura you and your party have. (2 Battle mages in one party)

Anyone know how this works?

It isn't #2, I already dissapointed a hero friend of mine by testing that. It's a self bonus only, though I don't know if it works on auras cast by other battle mages; I've never found myself in a party with one.

Starting from what lvl?
I have yet to decide on getting 3 blood or 6 blood.

The 10% cap is applied at all levels. And it's 10% of your base HP, not current max HP.

I did not make my self clear. I would like to know roughly the level where "1% of your dmg will be 10% of your max hp especially when you are mobing"

Pretty much any level if you hit high enough.

Tikey Wrote:Pretty much any level if you hit high enough.

if this is the case then I must be very weak. I am lvl 60 and 1% of my dmg != 10% of my hp. Sad

Edit 1: Just hit 70 and still have not decided to get more than 1% drain. The good thing is resistance class does not required all SPs to be used before Job Advancement so I keep my options opened by leaving drain at lvl 3 and booster at 14 (6 SP unused).

Edit 2: To answer my own post above, in early 7x, 1% of my dmg was equal to my base hp.

Battle mage guide - Deretto - 2010-12-26

I put drain to 7 just to match the timer with booster. I hate short timers, and I hate non-sync timers.

Body Boost is a self-buff that does one of three different things depending on your current active aura. You can't activate another aura until Body Boost runs out.

You can have 3 Auras active at any one time if there are three BaMs (each using a different Aura) in a party, right? Does Body Boost affect only your own Aura or all three?

Just tested this earlier. It only affects your own Aura.
