Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and Pokemon [RPG] - Pikamemnon - 2010-05-15

Silph Co - 16th floor

Pikababe:

The elevator begins moving upward, I almost can't believe that it is still working. Just as I'm thinking about destroying it so the zombies can't use it, the elevator stops. We lucked out this time but don't drop your guard. (the doors slide open on the 20th floor)

Roughly 5 human steps from the doors a zombie Tauros has begun charging at us! Before I can take a breath, it is surronded in a blue glow and frozen in place. Looking around I see that Dr. P is holding the zombie Tauros in place using Psychic. If he had been 2 seconds slower, the zombie would have crushed us in the elevator and we all would have fallen down 20 stories.

The zombie Tauros snorts and stomps as it hungrily trys to break the hold. (Hypno is holding out his hand and starting to sweat) Just a bit longer Dr. P, Jiggles use Pound on the floor in front of us! Jiggles jumps and slams his fist (puff?) into the concrete hallway just outside of the elevator.

Cracks form under the zombie and as it continues stomping it falls through the floor.
Dr. P: Hyp - noo.
Pikababe: Yes, that was a little too close. Let's jump over this hole and head to the roof now.
Making sure to avoid the area where we spotted the Caterpie from before we run up the staircase leading out to the roof top.

Noctowl! Noctowl over here!! The spotlights are off now and the sky is about ready to change colors for the start of a new day. A dark outline flys over to us from another building. I really hope that is not a flying zombie.
Noctowl: hoot.

Thanks for waiting, lets get out of here. Jiggles climbs on and I recall Hypno to his poke ball. As Noctowl begins rising off of the roof I spot a zombie Spinarack out of the corner of my eye. Holy, Noctowl dodge now!! (I grab some of it's feathers by accident)

Posion Sting needles fly through the space that we had just occupied. As the Spinarack jumps after us, Jiggles uses Sing to put it to sleep in mid air. As we fly away the zombie Spinarack falls from the roof of Silph Co. down to the streets below. Next stop, Pallet town!

Quote:Eclairs head started to slide off of its body spurting out blood.
''Ec-lair ?'' I said watching the head fall to the floor drenched in blood.. Flashes of our memory together started to turn on and off in my head. Our first meeting when she evolved to luxio and then luxray.
''steel wing....''
Iron didnt even make a sound and just took off the ground and sliced off Gliscor's head. My knees hit the floor at the same time as the head, overcome with emotion i just froze. I could hear the kid with me get closer to me.
''Cedric?... are you... okay ?''
He grew closer.
''Ceddy...Ceddy''
He walked over right infront of me and blocked my view of Eclair.
''Dont get in the way...''
I pushed him away with my hands, i stared at the body, now laying lifeless on the floor. I was overcome with emotions and started to cry my eyes out with guilt.
''I sho- sh- shouldve- tho-ught of something diffe-rent''
''NO!, its not your fault, its THE PEOPLE WHO CREATED THE ZOMBIES FAULT!, THEYRE THE ONESE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE YOU WERE TRYING TO FIGHT THE UNDEAD''
He ran back towards me from where he had landed when i pushed i him and hugged me tightly.
''Its okay ceddy, shes somewhere better now, he will watch over you now''
The morning sun light broke through the clouds and shined down on my Best friends corpse.
''We, we need to bury her''
An hour later, I was praying at her grave surrounded by flowers, at the top of Mortar mountain. I made a good luck charm with some of her fur to keep her memory alive.
''We..should get going to mahogany town.''

Brox ran until his feet hurt, and kept running some more. He finally slowed down, and let his body rest. He needed to make it to Pallet Town as fast as possible. Brox sat down on a rock next to a river, and stared up at the sky.

"Who else is dead because of this?" Brox wondered staring up soulfully at the pink and purple clouds of sunset. The world just seemed surreal, as if this was all a dream. But he had seen too much blood, and too much pain. Brox couldn't imagine the pain that some people must feel, seeing their best friends and pokemon turned into zombies.

Brox's thoughts were interrupted by the cracking of twigs and rustling of the woods. Brox got up and looked around.

"It's funny," he thought, "Before this had happened, I would have been looking around for a new pokemon to catch. Now I'm looking for where I need to hide." Brox decided to climb up a tree and hide there, waiting for whatever it was to pass. He quickly inched up and sat himself down upon two branches. He stared down at his arm, still a little sore from the wound. "I need to find an actual doctor," he said solemly.

His gaze returned to the ground where he had been, where a couple of zombie Ratata moved into view. Brox was a little suprised how, even in their current state, they still moved in packs. He sat and waited for a few minutes, allowing them to leave. Brox sighed, relieved. Brox turned around to look at the way they had gone.

All of a sudden, Brox heard a loud buzzing noise. He turned back around to see a Beedrill in front of him. It's left needle was snapped off, and one of its eyes were missing. It too had been taken by the disease.

Brox flailed, trying to climb backward on the branches so that he could get away. Brox heard the branches begin to crack, but he didn't care. As the noises indicated, the branches broke a few moments after, and the branches and Brox fell down into the river. Brox bumped his head on the edge of the land before falling in, and was knocked unconscious.

The stream swiftly carried Brox along, eventually pouring him out into the sea.

OOC: I'm going to try new stuff with the dialouge... Had a feeling that the last one may have been kinda boring/hard to keep track of. Pokemon have their entire dialouge colored. Trainers only have their name colored.

---

During the time that everyone was waiting for Blaine to come back, Charmander muttered some of his story to Togepi, although Murkrow and Natu noticed and heard much of it as well. It turns out that he wasn't a native inhabitant of Cinnabar Island.

Charmander: I miss Prof. Oak and my trainer. Went out to sea with my trainer... But I couldn't do anything within my Pokeball.

Murkrow and Natu decided not to press any further, because Togepi had started to talk. This wasn't exactly much of a big deal to the humans, but for the three Pokemon...

Murkrow: What did Togepi just say?
Natu: I think she just said 'Sorry'.
Murkrow: Sorry? For wha- Hey! There's a boat coming!

All of the other trainers could hear a 'mayday' on the Pokemon Center's radio, and they were all confused as to why... Until they all noticed a group of Seel and Dewgong following closely behind, with Blaine's Magmortar blasting fire everywhere behind the boat. "I can't risk landing on the island like this! When I sail under the cliffs, rain lightning and hellfire on them all!" So all of the trainers and their Pokemon ran to the cliff that Blaine mentioned, all except for Lyssane and her Pokemon. None of them really knew anything that could be described as 'raining lighting and hellfire' from above, so Nurse Joy had them stay behind at the Pokemon Center.

As Blaine's boat sailed past, the trainers ordered their Pokemon to launch various electric, fire, and rock-based attacks from above. Blaine's plan was working, but meanwhile, a pair of zombified Seel washed up dangerously close to the Pokemon Center. They didn't seem to know what they were doing, but the Charmander didn't want to take any risks. Charmander immediately launched a flamethrower at one of the Seel, who retaliated with a Water Gun. Charmander leapt away, and Natu teleported Togepi out of the way in time. As for Murkrow...

Lyssane: Murkrow! Flank them! Confuse Ray! Natu, follow up with Thunder Wave!

Murkrow flew in from behind the Seel and did as he was told, but the Seel didn't seem any more confused than they already were. Natu's Thunder Wave, however, crippled their movement. Charmander then ran up and finished off one of the Seel with Thunderpunch, then threw a Flamethrower towards the other Seel. That Seel got fried to a crisp, but everyone's jaw dropped when they realized that Togepi had somehow joined in with a Flamethrower of her own.

---

Blaine: So you were aboard the plane that crashed? And somehow survived and teleported here?
Lyssane: Yeah. From what my Pokemon told everyone, my Tropius was fighting a group of Krabby... Did you see what happened?
Blaine: What a brave Tropius. He destroyed the entire group when he took to the skies towards Vermillion City. He didn't look like he was zombified, at least when I saw him. I lost track of him at the bicycle path, but I think he's safe, as he was probably flying too high for any zombies in the area to notice.

Natu and Murkrow breathed a sigh of relief.

Nurse Joy: About Vermillion City...
Blaine: I was getting to that! No doubt this girl here wants to follow after her Tropius. It's too dangerous though. If we go straight to Vermillion City, we would have to sail under the Bicycle path, and I found all of the fishermen's boats destroyed under it.
Nurse Joy: But how?
Blaine: The bicycle path was swarming with Zombies. STUPID zombies that keep on trying to walk up the path only to come tumbling back down like bowling balls and pins - some falling off the sides and into the ocean at that - but never underestimate the power of stupid zombies in large groups. There were Fearow that chased me from the Bicycle path too, but none of them could stand up to the power of my volcanic Pokemon!
Nurse Joy: So, what now? This means we might have to abandon the island once we run out of supplies...
Blaine: I sent a radio transmission to the Sevii Islands. You all can go there, just make sure no Zombie Pokemon are following you.

Going straight to Vermillion City seemed to be out of the option for Lyssane. She was muttering to herself about how she was going to get to Vermillion City, until Charmander and Togepi started fiddling around with Lyssane's map.

Blaine: What a smart Charmander you have there.
Lyssane: I don't have a Charmander, what- Hey! Give that back!

She noticed that there was a scratch mark where Pallet Town was on the map. Charmander made a 'DAWWWWW' inducing look.

Lyssane: So... Pallet Town?
Blaine: That's a good place to start. The only other land routes to Vermillion City start at Fuschia, and that means sailing past the Seafoam islands.
Lyssane: Yeah, Pallet Town sounds like a better idea.
Blaine: I'm going to sail to Pallet Town to talk to Prof. Oak about this, so you can come with me if you want.

---

Current Location: Cinnabar Island Pokemon Center.
Current Objective: Make preperations to leave Cinnabar Island with Blaine to sail to Pallet Town.
Extra Note: Nurse Joy may be considering leaving Cinnabar Island for the Sevii Islands soon.
Pokemon Status: Same as before.

For future reference:

Charmander @ Amulet Coin (does nothing in battle, purely for backstory purposes)

(Stupid zombies, I like that)

Pikababe:

After arriving in the Pallet town lab, my injured team gets some rest and the assistants begin analyzing the data from Silph Co..

Assistant Bramble: Last night we saw something weird floating in the water near Pallet town, it almost looked like a body. It was too dark for us to tell if it was a zombie or not. We threw a life preserver into the water just in case it was a person.

Pikababe: You did the right thing, it would be too dangerous to get too close to something like that. Were you able to use that file from Silph Co?

Assistant Bramble: Yes, but first follow me please. (He leads me to a darkened room where a projection screen is set up. The other assistants are in the room but there is one extra person.) It seems that Professor Oak has returned to the lab. Apparently he had gone to Lavender town to make an emergency announcement but when he could not get into the Radio tower he came back here.

Professor Oak: A nice trainer let their Kadabra give me a ride by using Teleport.

Assistant Bramble: The data from Silph Co. confirms our worst fears. (he uses his finger to straighten his glasses)

Instead of checking the company e-mail for important updates, some Silph Co researchers used their computers for porn. Because of that, many Pokerus projects that should have been stopped immediately kept on going. Many of the workers didn't even know that there was a problem until people started dying.

There is a long list of canceled experiments. One project actually created super powerful zombies by accident. We would like to get more info from Silph Co. but it's probably too dangerous now. Even when Pikababe went there before we predicted that there might be zombies loose.

Pikababe: Shouldn't we evacuate to somewhere safer?

Assistant Bramble: As long as there aren't too many zombies around we should be fairly safe here.

Azula gasped, frozen in a corner of Mount Silver. It was night. Or was it day? She didn't know. Mount Silver was dark all year round. Well, it was dark, obviously. Azula wasn't quite sure how long she had been in the cave. She had dragged her Flygon to the corner where she sat in now, waiting, waiting...

She couldn't believe it. That girl had turned into a zombie. Unbelievable. Was that even possible? Hell, how were zombies even possible?

Azula stroked Flygon's head. He was extremely injured and layed wrapped around her. He was so brave...

-----------------------

"WAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Azula screamed as she leapt back. The girl-she was like, like....like....

 Like this

What? Was zombies even possible? How could this be!?!? Azula suddenly recollected her thoughts. Maybe that was why the Golbat kept on fighting...

Suddenly, the weird girl lunged forward and bit onto Azula's arm. She let out a gasp of pain.

"FLYGON, EARTHQUAKE!" Both Azula and the zombie girl went flying.

"Dammit...." Azula winced. Blood was pouring from her wound.

"Need to patch this up, need to patch this up..."

"FLY!" Flygon suddenly interjected.

"LUCARIO!" shrieked a Lucario. Although the Lucario seemed rather clean, it had red, glowing eyes.

"Gah, Flygon, Earthquake!" However, the Lucario did an extremely fast Extremespeed and cut through Flygon.

"FLY.....GON!" Flygon said as he Earthquaked. The Lucario went flying somewhere.

"Flygon, are you okay?"

"Fly...fly..fly."

"Alright, you're....LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!"

A Garchomp came zooming out of nowhere, followed closely by a Driblim. Both of them had red, glowing eyes, and blood flowed from their mouths.

"RETURN!" Azula said as the Garchomp slammed his Dragon Claw right into the thin air where Flygon was. However, it then hit Azula.

"Guh...Flygon...come out and use Outrage on that Garchomp!"

The Garchomp's eyes comically enlarged as the faster Flygon's head started glowing.

"OUTRAGE!" Azula hollered as Flygon's head slammed into the Garchomp and sent it flying. Amusingly, the female zombie trainer and Lucario was freeing itself from some debris, but the Garchomp came crashing down onto it.

The Driblim, however, suddenly turned into a large baton.

"It's using Baton Pass!" and out came a Rotom. Again, it had large, red, eyes, but still relatively clean...it wasn't covered in blood compared to the trainer or the Golbat, at least...

"Flygon, you know what to do!"

The Rotom stood no chance. He flung and landed right on top of the Garchomp.

"Dri...blim?" the Driblim said as he came back out from behind a rock.

"OUTRAGE!"

Azula's Pokedex suddenly beeped.

"Oh, come on, I already saw a Driblim before. Bill has a million of them back in his..."

"It's a Critical Hit!" the Pokedex chimed happily. Despite the depressing situation, Azula laughed. The Driblim flew, neatly on the top of the Lucario, Garchomp, Rotom, and the trainer.

"Fly....fly?" the Flygon whimpered.

"Oh, Flygon....you were great..." However, he nudged the Porygon-Z and Shedinja that Azula put away to the side during the battle. Both of their eyes weren't red anymore, but they were...hollow.

Azula groaned loudly. "Oh my god, I can't believe it...what should I do Flygon?" However, Flygon suddenly collapsed against the side of the cave.

"Argh, Flygon...re...retur..." and Azula blacked out too.

-------------------------------------------------

Azula still layed in the corner of the cave. She bet she was going to turn into a zombie, too. And so was her Flygon...

Azula wondered about the trainer. She figured out what happened to her. Zombies probably attacked her party, and she sacrificed herself for her Pokemon...what zombies, though? She shouldn't been able to handle a couple of Golbats.

"Cle...fairy."

"Cle...cle...cle...fairy."

"Fair...fair...fairy."

"Oh god no..." Azula whispered as hundreds of Clefairys swarmed around her.

(@ COB: I have no idea whats happening but I liked your last post. I would send a rescue team if you weren't in the middle of nowhere)

Pallet town - Oaks lab

Professor Oak: The strange thing about not getting into the Radio tower was why they refused to let me in. Whoever is in there said that they were waiting for someone and would not let anybody else inside.

Right around that time I saw several zombie fellows creeping into Lavender town from the west side. The group of trainers that were with me thought I should leave. Since I couldn't do any more there, I agreed to come back here.

I'm sure that the trainers can handle themselves but I am starting to get worried.

Pikababe: I can go check it out.

Assistant Bramble: You can borrow my Noctowl again, we can't let those zombies destroy any more towns!

Professor Oak: After you make sure everyone is ok, see if you can do anything about that tower.

I retrieve my team and hop on Noctowl as it takes off away from Pallet town. Flying north east we pass above the bicycle path and notice some movement near the bottom. I wonder whats going on down there but we have to hurry on to Lavender town. We quickly pass Vermillion city, which is surprisingly peaceful looking.

On approach to Lavender town Noctowl begins to descend. There is not a cloud in the sky but a bolt of lightning hits one of Noctowl's wings. We are low enough to jump off but Noctowl crash lands some distance away. After tumbling to a stop, Jiggles and me are in Lavender town.

It is a scene of complete chaos. A scattered wall of Pokemon trainers (they appear to be Cool trainers) and pokemon are fighting a mass of zombies in the middle of the town. Even though there are more zombies than trainers, the zombies seem to be contained for the moment.

Pikababe: What a mess, and we lost Noctowl too! An Ice beam freezes a zombie which is then broken by a thrown rock. We need to find some cover. (the closest structure is the Radio tower)

Jiggles points to the same place that I was thinking of running to and uses Rollout. His rolling flings mud in my face but he quickly mows down any zombies that are between us and the tower. I knock on the door as zombie parts fly through the air.

An explosion shakes the ground nearby, dirt sprinkels us. There is a tiny hole in the metal door but nothing that any of my pokemon could break through. I desperately pound on the door as some stray zombies start to notice us.

Forget it, lets see if we can find the Pokemon center. Suddenly the door opens and we half way fall inside. The door closes and me and Jiggles find ourselves in a wide space that is only lit by candles.

A girls voice calls out: Yes!! You're here at last!Glitter
I can see this persons creepy stare from across the room. What does she mean here at last? Two girls in a dark place, what kind of horrible activity does she have planned?

Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and Pokemon [RPG] - Alilatias - 2010-05-17

Blaine's boat sped towards Pallet Town. Tentacools went flying left and right, and many of the Magikarp knew more than enough to get the hell out of the way. Standard surfing rules didn't apply here, not when any one of them could be a zombie. Blaine probably pushed the boat a little too far though, as it (finally) managed to run over a zombified Magikarp, which totally wrecked the engine.

Lyssane really didn't like the idea of dying out at sea, so she asked Natu to pull some off some lucky teleport like the one that saved everyone before. Despite knowing that Lyssane could not understand Pokemon speech, Natu was frustrated enough to try talking back anyways.

Natu: I only have enough energy left to teleport the boat - without the rest of you guys - to Pallet Town... You expect a tiny bird like me to push this entire boat with Psychic?
Murkrow: I hope she doesn't ask me to use Whirlwind to push this boat.

---30 minutes later---

Lyssane and Blaine managed to fish the mangled Magikarp out of the engine. Of course, the engine was wrecked beyond any kind of repair that the current crew could do.

Blaine: Great! Now we'll have to FLOAT to Pallet Town! I can just see it in the distance too! Argh! We're like sitting ducks out here!
Murkrow: Thank Arceus there isn't a Psyduck on board to hear this.

Togepi looked hungry. She pushed the dead Magikarp towards Charmander. Blaine's fire Pokemon couldn't help but laugh hysterically at the sight of a Togepi and Charmander roasting a Magikarp together (and failing miserably, what with the ridiculously hard scales and all). And then Blaine yanks the Magikarp (which would have been a terrible idea to eat anyways) and randomly throws it somewhere out of frustration. Too bad it somehow managed to land on a really ticked off Gyarados.

Unfortunately, it was a normal Gyarados. Unfortunately in the sense that a zombified one might not have noticed. So the perfectly normal Gyarados swims over and is about to destroy the boat, until Murkrow flies up and decides to Sucker Punch its face. Then came a long string of 'Yo Mama' jokes, which ended when the Gyarados launched a Hydro Pump that sent Murkrow flying into the water ahead. The Gyarados, now content with its minor revenge, leaves.

A few minutes later, the boat drifts to where Murkrow is, and Lyssane fishes him back onto the boat.

Lyssane: Murkrow?! Are you okay!? You saved us all...
Natu: Oh, Murkrow. I'm going to miss you. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Charmander: Um... I think he's still alive.

Togepi walked up to Blaine's Magmortar, in which the boat had a bell hanging right above him. Togepi was begging for Magmortar to give her the bell while half-coherently saying "Heal Bell!", but Magmortar was utterly confused. He eventually came to the conclusion that Togepi wanted him to Zombie-proof the waterlogged Murkrow by setting him on fire.

Murkrow: OW! WHAT THE HELL?
Lyssane: You're alive! You should go rest in your Pokeball now.

---About 10 minutes later---

The boat is just minutes away from crashing into the shores near Pallet Town, and everyone notices something floating in the water. It seemed as if there was a life preserver next to it, so Natu decides to use up the rest of her energy to drag it onto the boat. That something was a person, and he didn't look zombified. Lyssane returned Natu to her Pokeball, while Blaine preformed CPR on the person. Blaine's Magmortar was staring at him with a disturbed look (more disturbed in the sense that Blaine didn't let him zombie-proof the guy first), while Charmander was anxiously kicking the engine.

Charmander: Argh! Move faster, you piece of junk! I want to see Prof. Oak already!

---

Current Location: Just outside of Pallet Town
Current Objective: Er... Get off the boat?
Pokemon Status:
- Togepi: 100%
- Murkrow: 45% and burned
- Natu: 100% but too tired to do anything at the moment.

Quote:"Oh god no..." Azula whispered as hundreds of Clefairys swarmed around her."

All of a sudden, Azula snapped.

"GODAMMIT ARCEUS WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO US?!? WHAT THE POKEMON SHIT DID WE DO WRONG!??" Azula screamed to the heavens.

"DAMMIT!" Azula glanced at her Flygon. He was still quite motionless. Breathing, but motionless. Azula looked around her backpack. Nothing, nothing...ah. A small Swiss army knife. Usually used for cutting bread, or steak, or chopping up Pokemon food for Shedinja....dammit.

Many of the soulless Clefairys grinned wickedly. Some blood still dripped from Azula's right arm, remnants from the bite from the other girl. Nevertheless, she still gripped the knife tightly.

One of the Clefairys lunged forward, snarling. Azula plunged the knife right into its wide open mouth, and it snarled. Barely taking the knife out in time, Azula sunk it deep into the skull of the one behind her.

Suddenly, the gravity in the room became much tougher. Azula sunk to her knees as a Clefairy menacingly used Gravity. Another Clefairy started waving its hand, using Metronome.

"Crap...crap...crap..." Azula winced. God, the Gravity was strong. How could Pokemon still Fly while being stuck in Gravity? Oh wait, they didn't...

An undead Clefable shoved Azula to the wall, and took her knife. Azula tried to resist, but the Gravity proved to be powerful. Meanwhile, the Clefairy who used Metronome started emitting yellow sparks.

"Crap....Volt Tackle..." Azula clenched her teeth. She looked one last time at her Flygon. He was so sweet, so cute...screw all the other douchebags who picked Bagon while laughing at her Trapinch. Heh, she showed THEM when Flygon beat their Salamence, one on one...at least Flygon wouldn't die a horrible death. He's probably going to turn into a zombie right now...

Azula looked at the Clefairy. It was so funny, seeing a Clefairy emit sparks like a Pikachu. Just like that Red fellow she versed a while back. Heh, he was a piece of cake. She doubted he defeated Team Rocket.

Azula felt the Gravity effects fading away, but made no effort to move. The Volt Tackle wasn't going to miss, anyways...and she hardly had any strength to move.

She shut her eyes tightly as the Clefairy charged forward.

DualReaver Wrote:So do you have any plans for that guy you just picked up? Cause I was planning on floating down to Pallet Town in the river.

To be honest, not really. Pika tossed that life preserver for you a while ago (which implies that you were already floating near Pallet Town), so I figured I might as well do something as I floated past.

---

Lyssane found that Pallet Town was much like Cinnabar Island in terms of security level. Fortunately (for the sanity of the boy that they found floating in the water), Blaine's CPR didn't work, so Prof. Oak's assistants brought the boy into the lab and were now trying to revive him using more conventional methods.

---

Charmander was the first to meet Prof. Oak. As he ran up to the old guy, Oak started to recognize him.

Oak: Oh? That Amulet Coin... Aren't you the one who went to Cinnabar with that young trainer last week?
Lyssane: We found this Charmander at Cinnabar Island. He just started following us. He was eager to get back here.
Oak: And who might you be?

Lyssane spent the next few minutes explaining absolutely everything that happened, along with Blaine sharing what he knew about the Seafoam Islands, Cinnabar, and the Bicycle Path.

Oak: So you flew in on a private jet without knowing about the zombie outbreak?
Lyssane: Cinnabar's Nurse Joy said the same thing.
Oak: So you want to go to Vermillion City to find out what happened to your Tropius. For once, the safest way there is through a shortcut. The regular path has you passing through Saffron City, which was reported as infested with zombies.
Lyssane: Yeah. After I find out, I'll probably try to find a way to return to Hoenn, if there's no way for me to help out.
Oak: There might be a way for you to help out though. I have a trainer assisting my scientists by finding out Silph. Co's involvement in this outbreak. She's found a lot so far. Right now, she's at Lavender Town investigating the Radio Tower, and she might find something important.
Blaine: If she comes back to tell us about it.
Lyssane: And if I come back.
Oak: You both will, I'm sure of it. Anyways, she might eventually find something that can help us all with this, something that might require your help.

After Oak's devices restored all of Lysssane's Pokemon to full health, Natu and Murkrow burst out of their Pokeballs. For the most part, nobody but Tropius really liked the Pokeballs. The shortcut that Oak described was simply long, unmarked (on the map) rolling plains from the east fence that led straight to the route above Vermillion City. It was full of tall grass, though, so everyone would have to be alert at all times. One of the scientists explained that the trainer that Oak described borrowed the only large flying Pokemon they had left, so Lyssane would be grounded during her trek through the plains.

As Lyssane was about to leap over the fence, Togepi started saying something. Everyone turned around to see the Charmander running up to the group, with Oak holding a Pokeball with a fire symbol. The Charmander's Amulet Coin had since been taken away and replaced with a King's Rock necklace.

Oak: Charmander looks like he wants to join you on your journey. I think you could use the help.
Lyssane: What about the trainer that he belongs to?
Oak: I think I can guess what happened. Charmander's original trainer sailed to Cinnabar Island last week. Something happened along the way, with Charmander washing up on Cinnabar Island still within his Pokeball. Since Charmander is not native to Cinnabar Island and fearing that the other trainers currently there would probably mistake him for a zombie, Charmander decided to hide until he saw you and decided to follow.
Lyssane: Makes sense...
Oak: For now, I've decided to take the Amulet Coin. The Coin has the trainer's initials etched onto the back. The trainer was originally from Pewter City, and his parents were archeologists that were running the museum there. I'm sure they're safe, as I would bet that they have converted all of the fossils into living Pokemon by now. They will be heartbroken to hear about their missing son though.

Lyssane took the Pokeball, and put it within her briefcase. This was like force of habit to her, as she figured that Charmander didn't like Pokeballs either. Charmander climbed on Lyssane's backpack with Togepi, with Natu and Murkrow airborne.

Natu: Charmander, welcome to our crazy party of birds and a baby egg.
Murkrow: Yeah, watch your back!
Natu: And Togepi too, it looks like she looks up to you!

---

Current Location: About to leave Pallet Town to go straight to Vermillion City on foot
Current Objective: Get across the plains.
Pokemon Status: Charmander has joined the party (same movest as detailed two posts ago, with Amulet Coin replaced by King's Rock), and everyone is at top condition.

"Ok, let's hope this really is the key to the Silph office. How on earth are these doors still here with all those zombies?" whispers Dan.
"Weav"
"Blip"
CLICK! The door opens.
"Ok, we shouldn't just dig trough any files. Inspector Gravys said that what we're looking for should be up on the higher set of floors."
"Sol!"
"Go in?"
"Ab!"
The reception is empty, but a lot of things are knocked over. It looks nothing like it used to.
"Perrrsiah..." A Persian passes over the spot they were just standing on.
"Ok, lets see, there should be two staircases. The first office we should be looking for should be on 5F, but one of the stairs here is blocked, and on 4f the other one is. On which floor should we change stairs?"
"Blipblip"
"Hmm, I guess 2F should have the lowest amount of Pokémon."

The trip to 5F went smoothly. 3F had some zombie Pokémon but Dan & co managed to sneak past them.
"Ariel, look around to see if there are any zombies."
"Swell!"
Ariel flies around and comes back a few seconds later.
"Swell!"
"Ok, let's look for the workplace of Dr. Rydel."
"Garde!"
"Good job, now set up screens so we can search without having to worry about random zombies appearing."

"Hey what's this? It looks like a dairy..."
The label on the book reads: Dairy of Josh Rydel.

April 30
"My cousin from Hoenn has made a record sale with his bike shop. Meanwhile there have been rumors going on about zombies here. The man who was working on the spot in front of me hasn't shown up in days, without any news. My new move project has been going well. Programming a TM on the computer is much easier than creating a TM trough having a Pokémon perform the move over and over to record the movement and such. I should be done soon."

May 3
"There's more and more rumors about zombies going on. Many workplaces are empty now. I don't know what's going on here, but I don't like it. My new project is almost finished. Taking on of the most powerfull moves and removing it's limitations while making it stronger is great. I should start thinking up a name for the move...

May 4
"I'm one of the few who came to work today. It's starting to creep me out. The move is done, I made two test TMs and used one on a Raticate. Something interesting happened: it was able to perform both the new move and old ones, but rather than using Return which it used to know it now used Strength instead, and acts like it has never known the former. I guess removing all limitations is impossible for now. Back to the drawing table I gue-"

The entry stops here. It looks like the pen was quickly pulled away while writing. The rest of the page is ripped apart.

"It seems the attack here happened while he was writing. I'll hold onto this. He said he also had another TM, it might come in handy... Oh here it is!"
Dan inserts the TM disc into the TM slot of the Pokédex.

New TM
-Normal
-Power: 200
-Special
-Changes overall moveset.
-Safe to use.

Appears on the screen of the Pokédex.

"Hmm, Plug, want to give it a try?"
"BLIP!!!" Plug seems enthousiastic.
"Ok, lets do this..."
Plug learned a new move. Moveset changed!
Porygon-Z @ Leftovers
Adaptability
-Tri Attack
-Icy Wind
-Charge Beam
-Dark Pulse
-Special move: Hyper Beam 2.0

"Hyper Beam 2.0...? We should try it out some other time, we have to get to 12F now..."

- - - - - - - -
Location: Silph Co.
What happened: Got to Silph and 5F, found a dairy and found a special TM.
What's next: Getting to 12F
Team(5): Porygon-Z, Absol, Swellow, Gardevoir, Weavile.

Quote:She shut her eyes tightly as the Clefairy charged forward.

"FLY!!!" Flygon suddenly screeched. At the sound of the shriek, Azula reopened her eyes, still slumped against the wall.

Right before her, Flygon was singlehandedly blocking the Clefairy. His red eyes narrowed as his claws shoved the Clefairy. Sparks flew from the Clefairy as the zombie struggled to push forward.

"Flygon...h-h-ow could you n-n-not take any damage...." Flygon's head swiveled around as his deep red eyes glared at Azula.

"AHHHHH THAT'S WHY!!!! YOU'RE A FRIGGING ZOMBIE!!!!"

Even the Clefairys groaned at Azula's foolish statement.

"Oh....riiiiiiiiight...you're part ground."

"..."

"FLYGON, EARTHQUAKE!!!"

However, instead of Earthquaking, Flygon unleashed a huge fire ball, which soon materialized into a huge, flaming, X. It burnt all the Clefairys in front of him.

"Flygon....how did you...you...learn Fire Blast?" Azula inquired.

Flygon gave a nod towards the girl trainer's backpack. Its contents were scattered all around the place.

"But, but....when did you find the time to learn it? And how on Arceus did you learn to utilize TMs?"

"Fly fly fly. Gon Gon. Gonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn."

"Oh. Right before the battle with her. I guess that's enough time..."

"..."

"BILL TAUGHT IT TO YOU!??!?!??"

"CLE! CLE! FAIRY!!!"

"SHADDUP I'M STILL TALKING TO FLYGON!"

"So, what move did you replace?"

"Fly."

"Fly? When did you learn Fly?"

"FLY GON GON GON FLYYYYYYYYYYY"

"Oh. You replaced Rock Slide with Fire Blast."

Flygon nodded.

"CLEFABLE!?!??!?!?"

"Oh, all right. By the way Flygon, you better not touch any technological stuff against without my permission."

"FLYGON, FIRE BLAST!" Azula hollered as Flygon blasted an inferno. None of the Clefairys stood a chance.

"AGAIN!" WHOOSH!

"AGAIN!"

"AND AGAIN!"

"ONE LAST TIME!"

"Beep!"

"Eh?"

"Fire Blast has no more PP!"

"...wait a second, I have 3 PP Ups!"

"FLYGON GON!?!??!??!"

"Eh?"

"FLY. GON. FLY. GON. GON!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I HAVE NO POTIONS BUT I HAVE PP UPS!??!

"GON GON FLY!"

"HOLD STILL!"

"FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY."

"There, that was quick."

The Clefairys just stared blankly towards Flygon as he roasted them to a crisp.

"Hey, that one dropped a Moon Stone! I guess it would come in handy later..."

"GON GON GON GON!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I PICK UP DUMB ROCKS INSTEAD OF POTIONS!??!?"

"FLY FLY FLY FLY FLY!"

"SHADDUP AND LET'S GET OUT OF HERE," Azula pouted as she leaped on top of Flygon.

"Flyyyyyyyyyy."

Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and Pokemon [RPG] - Dual - 2010-05-18

Brox's eyes snapped open. A slight bit of haze surrounded the outer edges of his vision. Everything appeared to be a bit blurry. He looked around at his location, attempting to see what was going on. Beneath him he felt a soft mattress and sheets. He attempted to lift his head, but he couldn't seem to find the strength. As his eyes began to flutter closed again, he saw a familiar face, one that had helped start his pokemon journey. He smiled as much as he could before returning to his sleep.

As the shadows of dreams surrounded him, Brox dreamed of the days of when he started his pokemon journey. He saw the buildings and the gyms, the battles and the friendships. The dream gradually began turning into a nightmare, showing him the events that had just recently started happening. The zombies, the blood, the horror. All of it became mingled with his dreams. Brox's eyelids twitched in the waking world, signally how he wished he could wake up and be out of that horrible world with zombies in it.

Hours later, Brox opened his eyes again. This time he was able to focus more. The light was shining down from the overhead lamps, causing the face of the man looking over top of him to be unrecognizable. Yet he knew who it was instantly. "Professor Oak," Brox spoke softly, still apparently rather weak. Stubborn as always, he attempted to sit up and get out of bed. Professor Oak pushed him back.

"Don't try that," he warned. "I know you want to get up and go, but you're not ready yet. You still need a little more rest." Brox eased back a bit. He looked around a bit. He noticed that there was a machine attached to him, giving him some kind of fluid. Professor Oak called to one of his assistants, "He's okay! Go let everyone know, so they can stop worrying. I'm going to go grab him something to eat." Professor Oak walked off into another room.

Brox smiled. Oak was just as kind as always. "I have something I need to let you know Professor," Brox tried to say, his voice still weak. He had to be informed of what had happened to his grandson. Brox then realized that his pokeballs weren't on his belt. He looked around frantically, eventually stopping on a table with his hat and pokeballs on it. All of a sudden Brox's eyes grew wide. There were only 3 pokeballs on the table.

(Sorry, last month of school is making me kinda busy. I'm having some trouble getting time for stuff. I'll still do this whenever I get a chance though.)

Don't worry about the godmode thing, I wasn't planning to use that move a lot. The idea behind it is... Just read this post and you'll know.

 Spoiler

"Damnit, the stairs to 8F are blocked on this side, and those to 7F are blocked on the other side, so the only way to continue is go trough this floor. And of course the floor itself just had to be blocked too..."
"Ab."
"Hmm, there's just a big wall here. Sabre, try to break trough it with Superpower!"
"Ab!" Sabre rams into the wall but Superpower has no effect.
"Wow... Ok Chief, use Brick Break!"
"Weav!" Brick Break, which normally tears trough walls like they're nothing doesn't do anything either.
"Ok, how is this even possible. We could take the emergency staircase but that ones outside and I don't like to risk being spotted... Wait, Plug, try that new move!"
"Bleep."
"Wait what?"
"Bleep."
"Does not compute, just use that new move!"
"Bleep."
"You downgraded from Ice Beam to Icy Wind and from Discharge to Charge Beam and you can't even use the new move?!"
"Bleep."
"OH COME ON!" Dan starts ramming his head into the wall, which dissapears. On the other side there's a zombie Alakazam.
"Ugh- AAaahh" As the wall dissapears right when Dan moves his head forward he falls on the ground.
"Guwss, gwet him!" says he as his face lands in a pile of papers which was laying on the other side.
The Alakazam uses Gravity right away. Ariel falls down on the ground and Chief is sucked right out of her jump.
"You guys can't fight this way, return!" Ariel and Chief return to their Pokéballs. Plug is still hovering above the ground.
"Blip."
"How do you manage to stay in the air?!"
"Bzzt."
Sabre barely dodges a Focus Blast. "This guy is way too dangerous. Sabre, Gardevoir, return!" Gardevoir returns to her Pokéball as the Alakazam fires a Dark Pulse towards her.
"I think I know why they put that wall there..."
"BLIIIIP!!!!" Plug starts firing Dark Pulses and Charge Beams everywhere.
"PLUG wtp ARE YOU DOING?!" The Pokédex makes some noise. Dan looks at the screen. 'Plug is confused.'
"Great, now the only Pokémon capable of fighting that Alakazam is confused. At least all those random attacks keep us from being attacked."
"Alakah-ZAM!" Alakazam fires another Focus Blast right at Plug.
""BLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!!!! bzzzt" Plug dissapears with some sparks.
"What the- Plug, where'd you go?!" The Pokédex makes noise again.
"ERROR DETECTED IN PORYGON-Z CODE. REPAIRING MOVE DATA TO CORRECT ERROR."
"Whew, at least he's safe." Dan looks at the Alakazam who got knocked out by a flurry of Charge Beams.
"Bip."
"Ah, there you are again. What happened?!"
Plug enters the Pokégear "It seems that that new move had a bug, even though the Pokédex said it was safe. It's data was changed to make it like Explosion, which was the only way to fix it. Oh and I forgot how to use Dark Pulse, but Ice Beam and Discharge are back."
"Ok, so if you use that move you get knocked out?"
"Sort of. All my energy is drained and I fall asleep. So if you teach Gardevoir Wish I can use it multiple times."
"Cool. We should get going again, it seems like Gravity stopped working."

Lavender town - Radio tower

Pikababe:

As the girl moves closer I am almost sure that I can see the sparkle of drool out of the corner of her open mouth. I think to myself that I am going to be eaten by a zombie wearing a silly witch costume. But after taking another look, she appears to be too peppy to be a zombie.

Girl with a pointy hat: I'm Sakura, let's battle!!

Pikababe: Whaaat?!! (Doesn't she know about the zombies?! This is an emergency situation! Maybe if I can defeat her she will tell me what she is up to)
Ok, let's do it!

Sakura: Servant of darkness, I summon you!! (a Gengar appears out of it's poke ball)

Pikababe: Dr. P, I choose you! (Hypno comes out of his poke ball) Jiggles watchs on, slightly behind me.

Gengar grins and moves into an attack position.
Dr. P, use Psychic now! A flash of blue light envelopes Gengar and it flys straight up into the air. Landing with a thump, Gengar fainted.

Sakura: EEEEEEEE!!! Cool

Pikababe: (jumps back) Why are you screaming?!!

Sakura: You beat my strongest pokemon in one move! You win. (she recalls Gengar to it's poke ball) That Hypno is great!

Pikababe: Why did you open the door for me?

Sakura: I used magic to predict the future. I'm a witch and the Ghost pokemon had a big problem where they needed help. (she looks me straight in the eyes as she says this)

When the zombies started running around lots of people wanted to blame Lavender town. It makes sense because this place is known for graveyards and such. But the truth is that the Ghost pokemon have nothing to do with the zombies.

It's all a big mix up and most of the ghost types around here are hiding out in this tower. I couldn't just let anyone in here, I had to wait for the one who could help us out.

Please, for the sake of Lavender town..

Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and Pokemon [RPG] - Alilatias - 2010-05-19

Natu: She has to be an idiot to be wading through the tall grass like this.
Murkrow: Better than getting stabbed in a forest, bitten in a cave, and who knows what through Saffron City.
Charmander: Ah... Grass is getting too tall... I think my tail might light something on fire...
Togepi: Fun!
Charmander: You think this is fun?
Natu: Togepi can talk now, but no sentences yet, it seems.

The wild plains between Pallet Town and Vermillion City probably haven't been trampled on for several years at a time. Nobody really knew what happens in this area to make this place have such restricted access. The grass at this point was waist deep, and everyone was expecting Lyssane to get bitten by something.

They were probably about halfway there when Lyssane stepped on an Ekans. Of course, nobody knew it was an Ekans until she lifted her foot, only for the Ekans to lunge and bite her leg. Chaos ensued as everyone tried to wrestle the Ekans off of her leg, until Natu finally managed to get a firm mental reading of everyone and lifted up the Ekans with her Psychic. Thankfully, the Ekans was a normal one.

Natu: For that, I'm going to strangle you good.

Natu didn't have a chance to do that though. Togepi set the Ekans - and some of the nearby grass - on fire. And now everyone had a wildfire to run away from. Sure, Lyssane was hurting from the snake bite, but it's really hard to notice the pain when you're running away from a 15-foot wall of fire.

Togepi: Yay! Run! Run!
Charmander: Oh no... I think I taught her to become a pyromaniac...

Then the ground below gives way, and everyone suddenly falls into what appears to be some sort of underground cave system. Everyone dragged the injured and exhausted Lyssane deeper into the cave, as the fire passed over the cave harmlessly. It was completely dark, save for the light generated by the flame at the tip of Charmander's tail and the light being reflected off of Togepi's Brightpowder bead necklace. Of course, the light being reflected off of the brightpowder was near blinding levels, so Charmander quickly tried to hide his flame from Togepi.

Lyssane sat against a wall, threw her backpack off to the side, and opened up her briefcase.

Lyssane: Thank god we found this place. That bite stings though... These antidote sprays are for Pokemon, but I wonder if they work for humans.

Before Lyssane had a chance to find out if antidotes worked on humans, Togepi began to chirp. The pain from the bite lessened. Togepi just tried to use Heal Bell without an actual bell. It seemed to work, at least. Togepi, pleased with finding out that she's a competent healer (when compared to that Magmortar on the boat earlier), immediately buried her face into a sandwich from the briefcase. As everyone was resting though, everyone started to hear a constant "Dig-dig-dig, dig-dig-dig, dig-dig-dig..." It was only getting louder, until it finally ceased.

And the group found themselves facing a huge army of Diglett from the west. Zombified Diglett.

There was only one thing they could do.

RUN.

Natu: 100%

Lavender town - Radio tower

Pikababe:

Alright then, how can I help?

Sakura: Trade me your Hypno for my Gastly. I knew that ever since I saw you in my vision that one of your pokemon could help me protect the ghosts in this tower.

Pikababe: Why do you need Dr. P's help?

Sakura: My pokemon are all loyal but I spend more time practicing spells than training for battles. I've had Gastly for a really long time, he is probably about ready to evolve I think. Here is what he knows:

Gastly @ Scope lens
Hypnosis
Psychic
Confuse ray
Night Shade

And besides that, if you have a Ghost on your team everyone will know that the Ghost pokemon are helping to fight the zombies!

Pikababe: (a ghost type could come in handy but I don't know about leaving Hypno behind) Dr. P, what do you think?

Dr. P gives a thumbs up sign. Could he have seen this coming with his Future sight? Well I don't even want to think about zombie ghosts flying around so Dr. P will help you defend this place.

Hypno was traded away.
Sakuras Gastly was traded in his place.

Pikababe: Ahh, Gastly already has a nickname.
Naked sneak joined the team!

What about the people running the Radio tower? Why isn't anything working?

Sakura: The workers said someone sabotaged the electronics and that it would be too much trouble to fix. One of them suggested using the tower in Goldenroad city instead. The group ran out of here in a hurry just before you got here. I think that they are trying to catch the Magnet train.

Pikababe: Not in Saffron city?!! I have to find them before the zombies do! We need them to fix THIS tower. Thanks for the info, take good care of the ghosts.

After Sakura closes the heavy door, me and Jiggles take a look around Lavender town again. There seem to be more zombies and less trainers than before. I wonder if they finished the evacuation? I spot a man with spikey yellow hair.

Lt. Surge?! What is he doing here?

With a slight tremor, Flygon broke his way through the side of Mt. Silver. Azula blinked in the sudden brightness. She tossed a quick glance back at the motionless Porygon-Z and Shedinja, still in the cave, but they could not be sign. Sighing, Azula wrapped her arms around Flygon's neck.

"C'mon. We gotta tell everyone else that there are zombies in Mt-"

Flygon screeched as he was hit on his port side by something traveling extremely fast.

"Flygon! Are you alright?" Azula yelled over the wind. Flygon just whimpered.

"Hang on! You'll get healed up in no time!"

Suddenly, the thing that just flew past them started turning back.

"CRAP, DO A BARREL ROLL!" Azula shouted. Flygon flipped in the air, one, two, three times as the flying object just barely nicked him.

"Fire Blast it!" Azula hollered.

"Fly~~!" Flygon shrieked as a ring of fire erupted from his mouth and transformed into a five pointed star.

"FEAROW!" the flying object screeched. It started plummeting instantly towards the ground, and landed with a loud THUD.

"C'mon, let's check it out," Azula suggested. Flygon descended and landed with a soft plump right next to the fallen Fearow.

"Huh. I guess by the looks of it, we're in Kanto. That's strange, there's usually more people around...FLYGON FLY!" Azula screamed. Flygon instantly obeyed, eager to escape the Fearow who, despite intensive bleeding, attempted to get on its feet.

"Hurry! You can outspeed it!"Flygon pumped his wings harder and harder at Azula's yells.

"On the Pallet Town!"

--------------

Over several minutes of intense flight, Flygon tried desperately to outmaneuver the Fearow. However, it still managed to stay on tight. Azula tried to throw several items, such as some fishing rods, at it, but to no avail. Flygon started traveling slower and slower.

"Damnit! Don't you have a Choice Scarf to speed you up!?!" How the hell is that Fearow not exhausted?"

"Wait! Land! Pallet Town is straight ahead! Maybe Professor Oak can do something about it!"

"WAIT DON'T CRASH INTO THAT BUILDINGGGGGGGGGGGGG!"
