That would be because other sites were complaining it was biased/advertisement and not allowing links to the article to be posted.

For this it was more valuable for it to be shown to as wide an audience as possible, than for the references to SP.

Point is; You weren't the only one who tried to post it. It was posted over, and over, and over, in various forms, attached to signatures and then some. Adura added the html page itself to the site's censor list to get any instances the staff had missed. Sarah has a lengthy IRC log of people asking him why it kept getting removed over and over, why he was blocking it so fiercely, yadda yadda.
