Anyways,

Sera, is this how you did it? Or is there a better way?

 Spoiler

It now feels not as ridiculous as it once did, when I typed out the manual inputs, but that timing...
You are super cool.

I don't see a problem with capitalizing on guild tokens since we have THAT much room left. And like Dave said, boredom and I may wanna mess around on an alt and MOAR tokens is always nice to have. Wouldn't need to waste NX on Life Tokens ever again.

You're forgetting that the guild update also includes a "featured member" system where partying with that person goes towards guild experience. Having a mess of alts in the guild can and will end up with a day where the featured member could be wasted.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MariettaRC - 2011-08-18

Three days with no electricity. What is this, I want my life back.

Question about the guild update, is the amount of tokens we get added up or do we just get 1 token per level up? (Ex: Getting 11 tokens at level 11 and 12 at level 12 or 1 for every level. It looks to be the former, which is GLORIOUS.)

You make it sound as if it will make or break leveling the guild up.

Then what if people like Greg/Providence becomes the featured member? You're going to bug them into logging on? It's playing the dang lottery anyways. If the featured member ends up being an alt a person doesn't feel like playing at the day, you're not going to force em to hop on the character and party just so to level up the guild faster. If it lands on a character that someone just so happens to be playing that day, good. If it doesn't, oh well. We all pretty much play a lot everyday anyways, so I don't see a problem. Besides, it'll even out with Guild Attendance.

Time to weed out the inactives then? There's only ever a dozen or so people that actually play on consistent basis honestly.

Edit: 0 gold what

Adding in worthless alts you know you'll never touch again only increases the odds that it won't land on someone worthwhile. Now if everyone in the guild adds in their worthless alts like you want to, it'll just be a huge clusterf'uck of never getting a good featured member.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Capricorn - 2011-08-18

I actually feel like this featured member pomegranate won't be as cracked up as it sounds to be, but honestly if it chooses anyone from the roster regardless of activity it's just full retard then.

And of course, we all know it's all about the STATS not the pomegranatety tokens, c'mon.

We're at 143 character anyways. On average only ~10-12 people log on everyday, and less of them will burn through BP like a madman. How is a ~7%-8% chance to getting a good featured member going to be helpful when people playing as usual will be racking up the majority of guild EXP anyways? Are we going to be kicking Greg's/Ryan's/Meta's characters just because they pretty much don't play anymore? Now if being a featured member gives a crazy bonus like x5~x20 more guild EXP I will retract my statement. Knowing Korean MMOS though, it's probably not going to be that high.

Or I can do plan B, sticking alts in the day the guild levels, and kicking them out after the tokens. Repeat until guild level cap.

There's supposedly a week limit of having them settle in anyways, otherwise they won't get the tokens regardless of rank either apparently.

I mean, it's not like we're a guild of WEAPON MASTERS MAINLY with so many people active.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Moonlapse - 2011-08-18

Grr. I started playing again but I forgot my goblin pad number thingy :<. Need to send a ticket I guess.

In response to that, I can confirm that a guild lvl 4 and above will not reward its members unless they have been in it for 7 days.

Are we sure the "Featured Member" can include any current member of the guild, regardless if they're online or not?
It would be helpful if it limited itself to only ONLINE players when the time was right.

This is NEXON we're talking about, they love to do these things that bug us out of our minds.

Blame Neople for this flawed design instead of Nexon. Nexon is only the messenger boy.

Don't defend them. They have rights to change the game if needed, which they have not invoked so far besides removing the FP limit.

Oh god, I was defending... Nexon? That's it, quitting DFO. I feel so dirty now.

Apparently they're chosen at every reset period, meaning 6 am PST. So yeaaaaaaah, unless they've derp'd hard it seems it'll account for anyone in guild.

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
