I took care of Axion by not going near him >_> He's not like his legion buddies who go directly for you (or at least not right away), so take the time to serve some pwnage to his cronies before facing him.
Seriously though guys? You kept on dying at his part? I did it on my first try. All the quests.

I was taken from full HP to zero once in a second on my Striker while running with Greg on King's. I Crushing Fisted through one, expecting to be able to continue my combo, but the exact moment I contacted, it turned on Super Armor. Unluckily enough, I was just close enough to the top of the fountain in that map to get stuck by it, and the Expeller swung its sword once at me. I get hit however many times almost completely instantly while floating against that fountain and die from nearly full HP. There's absolutely no way I could have lived unless the fountain broke.
The Expellers also have an attack where they all slide forward and stab in unison like Heaven's Expeller. Very dangerous if any are off screen and you don't see it coming towards you. They use it almost instantly, with maybe half a second of warning animations if I recall correctly.

Yeah it wasn't Axion that was the problem. Legion only do around 150 dmg to me, so I think what was happening was several of them were hitting me at exactly the same time. Probably my fault... In normal and Expert I had no trouble using my usual combo of Manteau to gather, then Uppercut + Force Palm and finish with EMM. But twice when I gathered, they were able to mass hit before I could Upper + FP out of the mob. Nasty stuff.
I should have just played it extra save and ran around EMM sniping, like I was doing when Kajiti was helping me. lol Oh well, what's done is done.
I have just enough fatigue left to level to 25 and then try out Castellan once (it opens at 25, right?). I have to wait until 5 CDT though... Three back-to-back classes now and another 40 minutes since I'm going home again this weekend. The wait is torture!

Gonna be a striker as intended since there aren't anything from grappler that makes me OMFGWTFBBQAbout the axion guy, just run all the way right like kaji said. Take care of the ones who are aggroed(half?) and then kill the rest.

Resistance is % based, and I heard 150 is full immunity. That said, +1000 magic defense is probably better, but I dunno.

Okay yay, I now have a weird issue. People's titles (the BeastSlayer/Trailblazer/stuff) and the PvP rank thing keep toggling over and over at a set interval, and I have no idea how to fix it.
And when you get your rank thing, it doesn't seem to add the Party exp rank, the thing around the letter rank just keeps turning and turning and turning and then it switches over to the cards. e_O
Piercing damage means the erm... ability to have your bullets hit through one enemy, and hit the enemy behind it. At least that's what I think. Piercing damage might be different, so don't take my word for it.

They're called Legion Expellers if I recall correctly. The problem with their charge is that it's signaled way too quickly, and then they ALL slam forward. Axion is my bit'ch. Another issue I have there is those fire and ice sprites. They have some weird hit recovery and I've found that some times on Master's that they can attack back in the middle of my combo despite being struck and not missing.

Tick the check box here, and save. Then it will prompt you to select a type.

Say you do 100 normal damage and 10 piercing damage. You will always do the 10 piercing damage regardless of how much defense the monster has, plus however much damage you would do after reduction from the 100.
Also, I tried upgrading my Staff from 5 to 6, and it failed =( Wasted 52k? because I put it back to 5 T_T

And finally cleared up all my slacking quests, it was painful taking off weapon so I can get style in mirkwood
