Ask a Warrior Thread. - Arroz - 2011-07-25 In all my searches I'm getting outdated answers so here goes, wtp should a hero get after Stance? I don't believe MM or Rush gain any distance just dmg, and it takes a while before enrage is pretty boss. Also I'm putting MW last if that helps. And it sounds like enrage is what you should get. there is almost no reason now to put more than 1 point into magnet and while i do think rushes range does actually increase (maybe that has changed since bb/chaos idk my pally only has one point in it atm), Enrage is definately useful with like 5 points and rather notable with like 9. So get it. Ask a Warrior Thread. - Arroz - 2011-07-26 Alright I'll take your word for it. I was looking through all my skills and I could just get combat mastery which is only 10 points for a whole 40% def ignored. My main gripe is skill books. With HT glitched I haven't been able to find the 30 book. Any one around that can tell me how useful def ignore is? Ask a Warrior Thread. - Takebacker - 2011-07-26 Combat mastery is useful sure but i think enrage is better. It depends on what you fight. If you're mostly in high target, high PDR situations (zak arms, HT body, some other places) go combat mastery. If in single target situations (anywhere), go enrage. Ask a Warrior Thread. - octopusprime - 2011-07-26 While most monters don't have the PDR to mandate combat mastery at even just 10 points, It's never going to hurt you. If you want to, get it. Any one around that can tell me how useful def ignore is? i realized my hero is in the same place, and i just leveled (i did mw->19 first though). combat mastery and enrage are my 2 options right now, and i have 5 mastery / 0 enrage. so i'm asking myself: which one adds more damage per point? mastery does. 4% vs 2% against anything you aren't already fully ignoring defense. ...what boss has low enough defense to warrant stopping speccing mastery and level enrage instead? pap, with 25% (pianus?). c/zak, ht, pb.. everything else pretty much all have 40+%. so combat mastery is always more useful at bosses, except pap. why would i ever use enrage while training/hunting? focusing down a single mob when i should be hitting 3 is counterproductive. what other situations are there...? ...combat mastery it is. 1 enrage next level, hooray level 1 skills! I tried training were I did with my Archers at the same level and it is taking 2x the time to level. Krips/Flowerfish was great for my archers, took 20-30 minutes per level(Page takes 40 minutes) a level at lv60-70. and the same time to lv at Poison Poopas from 70-80. For me thats fast.
Ask a Warrior Thread. - Tristan - 2011-08-01 Try hodoris, hoguls, foxes, etc. Anything near KFT is pretty good. Oh did I forget to mention... PLATEONS/MATEONS/ZETA GRAYS!? The Korean Folk Town quests are extremely good experience, so you may also want to do them. Ask a Warrior Thread. - bio9205 - 2011-08-02 Hey guys. Just came back from a long break from Mapling, and I'm getting dizzy with all these new classes coming out. So I decided to create a Fighter. Anyways, a few questions. Kinda confused about things after BB. 1) How does FA work? I've seen a few threads on it, but still really confused about it. 2) Is Ground Smash useless? I'm thinking of screwing it completely and dump the points into Iron Body. 3) How are Swords and Axes different now, post-BB? 4) Stupid question, but - should I go one-handed? Never played a Warrior before. Currently only level 18, I play real slow cos of school, plus the fact that Adventurers are so much harder to train at earlier levels than "ahem" Resistance. Or any non-Adventurers for that matter. Recommendations on training areas would be nice. Thanks so much in advance! Ask a Warrior Thread. - ShinkuDragon - 2011-08-02 when FA is maxed, 40% chance of hitting one monster one time for 150% of your range, unless you used slash blast SB isn't useless, after training a page, i think i actually prefer slash blast, can hit from farther away i think they have the same multiplier, but about that slash/stab issue, it no longer exists if you have the funds, one handed is better than 2H Ask a Warrior Thread. - Chameleonic - 2011-08-02 Tristan Wrote:Try hodoris, hoguls, foxes, etc. I found them all slower than Poison poopas, those places arent as mobby as PP...guess I''ll just grind it out, only 6 levels to go for the ring anyway. Actually my question on FA was more of a conceptual question - a friend of mine says you don't do the spin-around animation anymore. What happens? Does the monster just get damaged like that? Ask a Warrior Thread. - JPTheMonkey - 2011-08-03 Yep, it just takes a hit as your character continues on its way. Ask a Warrior Thread. - KaosStorm - 2011-08-03 Practical purposes aside though, I do miss the special animations of FA. Ask a Warrior Thread. - Sorien - 2011-08-03 KaosStorm Wrote:Practical purposes aside though, I do miss the special animations of FA. They're still used in the Brandish animation, so they aren't all gone. Only the Spear and Blunt Weapon ones aren't used really, and possibly Pole Arm if Arans don't use the FA frames anywhere. Edit: You know what I miss is the red swings from weapons when they reached a high enough mastery. They made it so that the swings only turn red when the weapon has 60% or more [additional] mastery, but that means that only classes with some form of advanced mastery in fourth job can get red attacks. I guess Paladins "can" have red attacks, but only when they're charged and using their basic swings against a box or something. Ask a Warrior Thread. - bio9205 - 2011-08-04 Aww. I did like the spinning effect of 2H Sword users. Last question: Is Ground Smash really useless? I read somewhere that because of its range (i.e. you don't have to walk up to monsters to hit them like PS/SB) they're better in that way than PS/SB. But by charging, we get the carge afterimage, and not the red one from mastery. ![]() bio9205 Wrote:Aww. I did like the spinning effect of 2H Sword users. Not useless per se, but you're going to substitute it pretty quickly once you reach 3rd job. Rangewise, yes it is more convinient than any of your attacks so far, since it is pretty much a ranged skill; on the other hand, for SB to "grab" far away mobs, the first one you hit MUST be within range of the skill (which is pretty much close-quarter range). PS has a small range and is a 1v1 skill, so you really can't compare. While leveling, I found GS really awesome, as far as leaving Booster at a low level (with a timer similar to PG); but I eventually ended up dumping only 11 SP remaining once I got the SP reset, since CB pretty much eclipses any advantage GS had. Ask a Warrior Thread. - bio9205 - 2011-08-05 Ah, okay, thanks!. Well I didn't lie when I said that was my last question, but something else popped up as I was looking through the skill tables. About Crusaders - Panic's descriptions says 480% damage per combo orb, while Coma's says 400% damage per combo orb. Is that % total, or multiplied by 5 (or 10) per orb as the description says? |
