Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Curtiss - 2012-11-01 Looks like I came to this thread a minute late, eh? Meh, I suppose it may be that there's a limit to how much Rufus can remember at one go and Gray basically overloaded it by using Ice Make Unlimited but I guess we'd actually have to know how Rufus' exact ability works to say if it's a good fight or complete BS. Lol'ed at the part where Gray says he's memorized stronger flames though. Good call. Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Corn - 2012-11-01 That was such a good line ha ha. Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - yoosergio - 2012-11-01 Unlimited Ice Works? Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2012-11-01 Curtiss Wrote:Looks like I came to this thread a minute late, eh? Rufus told him. If Grey used an ICe Make spell Rufus had seen before, he could cancel it, like he did with the shield. So grey instead spammed as many different ice makes as he could in that near "infinite" amount of weapons he made. Rufus would have to have cancelled them one at a time (he couldn't) or try and melt them with his flames. And Grey told him what he thought of that useless fire spell
Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - KhainiWest - 2012-11-01 Why do you guy's keep talking about grey? All I saw was Erza fighting ![]()

So basically it wasn't an actual skill so much as that he used so many Rufus couldn't keep up, right? Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2012-11-02 My only complain about this fight is that it wasn't longer. I expected mch more from Rufus. I agree, if beating him was just spamming, then why the hell hasnt any other mage figured that out...seems like a silly weakness

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - AzureKite - 2012-11-03 Gray was all like. UNLIMITED ICE BLADE WORKS! Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Corn - 2012-11-03 If Gray could spam his magic, why couldn't Rufu spam his anti-magic magic? xD Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2012-11-03 Corn Wrote:If Gray could spam his magic, why couldn't Rufu spam his anti-magic magic? xD Because. Each Sword/Weapon was made differently. Rufus "Memorize- forgotten" magic requires him first to at memorise the magic being used, which takes a short time, then to manually cancel it with his "forget" spell. Initially he WAS going to memorise the spell grey was using, and then cancel it (You can see him start to do it, page 17 on mangastreams version). But then Grey started casting tens or maybe even hundreds of different Ice Make spells in quick succession, and , like Rufus said, he couldn't memorise that many spells that quickly, so he could not cancel them. Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - SolicShooter - 2012-11-04 Lozmaster Wrote:It's not like the two of them would be fighting as a team though: Minerva would also undoubtably attack Kagura as well as Erza and viceversa. Wouldn't work, Fairy Law only works on what Fairy Tail considers 'true' enemies. Friendly guilds like Blue Pegasus would be unaffected. There is probably a range limit and a casting time limit as well. For the ones that are calling asspull, Gray has been complimented about his great maker speed before. Also that last hat panel is pineappleing badass! Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2012-11-07 I consider had it been anyone else from Fairy Tail (except Laxus and maybe Erza) Rufus would win or give a very tough fight at the least. I think no one else can cast so many spells and so fast as Grey. Only Laxus would've kicked his ass before he even realized and I don't even now about Erza Edit: oh and Gerard/Mistogan. You can't cancel out spells if your cancel is weaker than their spell. Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Curtiss - 2012-11-09 New chapter's out. Expected plot twist there and huh, more characters introduced? I wonder what's their deal. :f6: Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2012-11-09 Meh. we didn't really need more characters being introduced this late in to the arc. Try as Mashima might, I'm not interested in Natsus team fighting them when we could be watching the Grand magic game finale! And they didn't get any of the stellar spirit keys back yet did they? Then only 4 people on natsus team can seriously fight (Natsu, Wendy, Mirajane and Panther Lily), and they 5 enemies. Hmm... Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Curtiss - 2012-11-09 I've got to agree. I want to see what's going on with Sabretooth and the Grand Magic Games far more because of those revelations. Come on, Mashima, you practically set it up so we'd care more to see the finale! Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2012-11-09 First Kubo trolls with Byakuya and now Mashima with Lector lolz. Also wtp is that up with Yukino looking like Lissana. She can't be Edolas Lissana because that one died in a mission right by the time that earthland Lissana got there. In any case I'd be dumb if these executioners have more to offer than Lamia Scale or Sabretooth have to offer in the magic games. Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2012-11-10 byakugan Wrote:First Kubo trolls with Byakuya and now Mashima with Lector lolz. More still, she can't be Edolas Lisana because she has "internal" magic that she can use to summon stellar spirits: No-one from edolas is supposed to have been able to contain magic in their bodies. The minerva saving Lector thing isn't a huge surprise though, I'm pretty sure my first thought after "oh pomegranate" was minerva probably saved him with her magic. I still have no idea where this arc is going. Having a shonen manga that isn't doesn't have an incredibly obvious plot is great. I still can't think of a good reason for the executioners though. I would certainly hope they're not strong enough to fight an S rank mage of the strongest guild, together with two dragon slayers. I'm really wondering about who is going to win the grand magic games now though. I always assumed fairy tail would win... but I doubt they (Fairy Tail) would let Minerva kill Lector because of them winning either. Erzas (hopefully) inevitable beatdown of Minerva is going to be sweet. That's probably what I'm most waiting for now. I wonder how much "stronger" Rogue is going to have magically have gotten. I hope Gajeel still beats his ass down, since fairy tail are all fighting to save someone (Lucy) too, moreso than the previous day where they were just fighting to be no 1. |
