I'm glad I finally got to experience DFO in some way, so it was nice. I'm grateful they're willing to give it another chance.
On the other hand, I'm going to be so spoiled when it officially comes, aka where's all my potions and avatars I got for nothing >_>

This. I fully intend to be No. 1 Ranger in TeamRocket. I played mine up to the low 30s, and it was just as fun as I remember.

Hopefully they'll at least give a heads up before they get anywhere near the Beta on if IGNs and levels moved on over successfully. Probably one of the last things people will want is to find out on the opening week of the Beta that both levels and IGN are gone.
More speculating here: If they can't save IGNs/levels, I'm sure they'll just completely reset the servers or get new servers so everything is wiped completely clean. It'll also mean having to race to take IGNs again, but hardly a problem as long as DFO actually gets updated to a more recent version of the game. What Nexon left over was pretty much ~2+ years old by now.
