Quote:• The Starter final evolutions are, as many people predicted, Fire/Psychic, Grass/Fighting, and Water/Dark.
I thought it was Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting?

Fire/Psychic > Grass/Fighting
Grass/Fighting > Water/Dark
Water/Dark > Fire/Psychic

If that's the case, they might as well have not had dual typing in the first place. :|

I admit, everytime I hear the word fairy I do think "Wands and Wings, floaty crowny things!"

Someone on /vp/ noticed that you can see the Pokeball throwing animation in the corner of one the pages. Looks like it's a first person shot. Kind of cool.

trainer customization confirmed! You can change your outfits and accessories! Smile
Not sure about the name of the Electric type. I prefered the japanese name. The name "Fletchling" is pretty cute for the Robin though.

I'm getting all this info from Serebii by the way

New Region (Warning: Picture is huge)

It's definitely meant to be Europe as a whole rather than just france. Due to the vaguely UK looking spit of land to the west, complete with Stonehenge. EDIT: LOL never mind, didn't realize there was a similar structure in France. Pokemon = Teaching me things.

It looks like there might be a church. What the hell is the purple thing next to the eastern most village? looks like a giant purple fin with an eye on it.
Perhaps it's a portal to the place where Fairy Type pokemon were discovered. (I can hope)

Loving the new Euro-styled region!

Nice to finally see some information and pics from the game! Excited for more information in the coming months!

I'm starting to believe that the trainers in this game are quite rich. They seem more well-dressed than previous previous trainers, and they look more "noble"

The original trailer shows the town with black roofed-buildings to be just after Route 3. Meaning that just south of the town with black-roofed buildings is the starting town.
The only thing there is a huge-mansion like building, with a large stone bridge like this one:

So I believe the starting area is that huge mansion. Which is really interesting compared to the rather "average" origins of the previous trainers.

Oh, also:

too much stuff revealed at once. Fangasm overload.

bred pokemon have 3 inherited from the parents and the rest generated randomly (or not so randomly with RNG abuse in certain games).

i'm EXTREMELY aware of that, which is why i wanted it to be modifiable ._. do you know how many resets i had to do to get a good-natured, good iv'd darkrai? if i could find one of dem gameshark thinguies (whatever they're called now) i'd probably buy it.

The map of the new area looks kind of empty don't you think? In Unova the sandy area was justified by being under construction but the sandy area in Karos? looks a bit out of nowhere and it looks like theres aliens living there(though I don't know the story). I think I'm feeling this way because its not the same art style as the old maps...

I don't even think that's a desert.
The buildings in there look like different ways of producing energy, the colouring of the ground also looks more like dead grass than sand, which you can see on the beach on the bottom left. Like the machinery has drained the area of life.

I'd guess that area will be part of the story, since it's starting to look like a nature vs science theme in my opinion. Probably about how humans are upsetting the natural balance and putting the world tree at risk

Can you explain the meaning behind the picture of the ring thing for me?

Hypermug Wrote:Can you explain the meaning behind the picture of the ring thing for me?

Nothing official yet, but its probably the new pokegear/Cgear type thing.

As Lozmaster said, it's likely to be the new C-gear thingy. The zoomed in picture though shows that DNA looking symbol in it, which is the same symbol seen on the box art. Could further reinforce speculation of a DNA theme.

Could just be nothing though.

This was my exact reaction from this video.

That and the robin bird seems to be a fire/flying instead of normal/flying o_O

I wonder if the Church-looking building to the west is based on the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris? both are situated on an island with water on all sides.
