One Piece thread (Spoilers) - Takebacker - 2012-08-14

KhainiWest Wrote:I dont think he would be because his son is involved. He seems like a character who will help through the island then let them go, I feel like Law is going to become a nakama/ally. Now that the other super nova's have a 3 way alliance, I think luffy and law will combined theirs.

It's becoming more and more evident as the arcs progress into the new world that not only are all the characters that are part of the core strawhat crew already assembled, but that alliances and unions or what have you are going to be extremely important for survival. Having just been introduced to a major one and luffy/law currently collaborating i think an alliance between the two is a natural outcome.

I swear there was something about having one more Nakama though o_o Plus finding his son could be easier if he joined on the pirate ship to travel the new world. It wasn't exactly confirmed that his son was on the island.

Luffy has some mad pull with powerful people though. I'm sure his alliance will stretch a bit beyond Law.

Yeah I agree, and yes that's a possibility. But a flaming swordsman really..just isn't interesting enough of a character to me personally.

One Piece thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2012-08-14

We already have two swordsmen, I don't think we need another. And unlike Brook, Kinemon doesn't have a "not sword" gimmick for fights that we are aware of. At best, I expect Zoro to learn how to cut/create fire with his swords.

Plus, Kinemon needs to take his son home once they find him.

Infuse his sword with haki? So badass.

But he can make clothes out of thin air D:

Samurai is definitely an interesting character and his old fashioned-ness is REALLY funny at times. But he isn't a pirate.

This image speaks for itself. I love you, Oda.

I have an interesting theory about Vergo. He's using the CP9' fighting skills so he could be... Rob Lucci? He kind of looks like him, but with short hair.

And Law was actually using everyone? What the hell?

One Piece thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2012-09-11

He is using the "CP9" fighting skills. However, Rokushi is not in any form exclusive to the members of CP9.

I don't have time to drag up a picture right now, but we've seen multiple people who are members of the marines using the same skills since the Water 7 Arc, including vice admirals. It should be no surprise that Vergo, as a vice admiral, knows about Tekkai and the other skills.

^The Vessel thing was probably bad translation. The mangastream version makes much more sense.

Surprised that sanji still seems to be significantly below a vice admirals level though.

I don't think he is. I think his leg was already fractured when nami was fighting, vergo just made it worse.

So many tingles, so many erections. I also liked this one, don't watch it if you aren't caught up till the new world.

It's a shame that One Piece is basically Reaction Shot : The Anime (Admittedly, the anime writers are given virtually nothing to work with that they can expand on) meaning it's mostly Mashimas fault. All the breaks that he takes certainly don't help either.

The One piece anime has definitely run far too long.
