3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Locked - 2011-09-01 I'm pretty satisfied with the game list, I mean I don't mind if there's no save state now seeing as how they're going to implement it later. o.o After all.. it is free. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - AkaSora - 2011-09-01 Gone are the days of actually trying and striving for victory instead now in this cheap age of obtaining victory without even failing once or re starting from the exact moment you could fail. The days of going towards the goal as if you life depended on it just to save a princess, goddess, ally, or world, where you felt like a man when you finally did it are DEAD!! replaced by this easy save anywhere dribble. Thou shalt not feel like thy has succeeded, nor will thou know how it truly feels. Ye will never be great!!! And you will take this way too seriously 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Ryukiroku - 2011-09-01 Why must we all be spoiled by modern "gaming"? 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Remoir - 2011-09-01 Maybe its just me, but ive played the Gameboy colour version of Super Mario Bros, and the handling on this 3DS version seems like ass compared.. only other game i bothered to get from the freebies was Yoshi Egg and i find that to be pretty lame too. Maybe its because games were more advanced when i started playing them.. If they release Pokemon Puzzle Challenge in the eShop i'd pick it up though. I still have my original copy under my bed but nothing to play it on ;-; 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Myles - 2011-09-01 Ugh you can't download all at once? Ffs. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Yeah, I did have problems with the directional pad and joy stick on the original Legend of Zelda. I'd press down to go attack an enemy, but when the joy stick reset to center, Link would face north. :| 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Punch - 2011-09-01 Officially played out all 10 games .-. Maybe not Metroid and Mario and Zelda.. but all the rest >_> Waiting for the save states (like i said) that we deserve. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. I blame modern gaming going soft on us! At least we still have "Nintendo Hard" games like I Wanna Be The Guy / I Wanna Be The Boshy and Super Meat Boy in this day and age. Plus Super Mario Galaxy 2's 242nd Star is pretty boss. I watched a stream Monday night where it took the guy 87 tries just to beat it. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Sarah - 2011-09-01 Dark Link Wrote:ITT: "Old Gen" gamers vs "New Gen" gamers There's no such thing, hahaha. I'm what should be considered an "old gen" player at heart but I'm not so ignorant that I believe nothing should change. Those people are elitists. Saving was invented for a reason--though it has been abused more recently. There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep your progressed at where you progressed to. Having to repeat everything you've already done a billion times isn't REAL CHALLENGE by any means. akasora's post was especially dumb because he was acting as if TERRIBLE CONTROLS are a feature. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. You choose which level you'll be doing on wrecking crew. Same goes for Balloon Fight, Yoshi, Ice climbers, etc. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. I kept going to "Account Activity", because it would show the games listed and going to the "Software Info" would give me "Coming soon to Nintendo eShop." I R SMRT... 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - AkaSora - 2011-09-01 Sarah Wrote:There's no such thing, hahaha. The meaning flew right above your head apparently. games are way too easy with the feature to start again at an exact point its cheap and doesn't really make you any better. If you are repeating the exact same thing over and over again that could be how you fail due to not trying something new, most games have many ways to play in their levels. If I wanted to reference a somewhat hard game I could talk about monster hunter tri where you actually have to try to play well but screw that. Also I used white text. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Dark Link - 2011-09-01 AkaSora Wrote:Huh what? I would mention IWBTG / SMBoy again, but those end up being "Muscle Memory". 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Sarah - 2011-09-02 BTW, for anyone who doesn't know... If you've linked your 3DS to your Club Nintendo account prior to downloading these, you can get registration coins on your account (10 per game I think) 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - CarrionCrow - 2011-09-02 Having the ability to save games at certain points is fine and an absolute must in lenghty games, but save state? No that is just devoiding games of challenge. Scenario: Hard as heck boss. You get a shot in, no health lost. You save. You get hit. Load latest save. You get a shot in, no health lost. You save. Repeat. 3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Link - 2011-09-02 Sarah Wrote:BTW, for anyone who doesn't know... The post-play surveys? Oh yeah! I just noticed I can do one for Link's Awakening.
