blitzkrieg Wrote:yeah that's basically right. regular homing isn't so great but advanced homing is amazing.

as for the second part, it'll stay homed till you kill it or use homing on another monster.

Pineappleing FINALLY we got confirmation on that. :/

At what level should a Slinger stop raising str? Or to be more specific, what should I cap it as?

Ask a Pirate Thread - Russt - 2008-11-27

Depends on your final weapon and STR bonuses from equips, but around 80ish wouldn't hurt.

I have mine at 61 because the best/most common gun is level 80 [cost efficieny, etc]. Unfortunately, when I get my HT pendant at 12x, imma have a lot of extra STR so I might have to reset some or try to get a good level 100/110.

Depending on funding/equips, you should cap in the range of 4x~8x. I just look at it as "Okay, where should i put it so I don't have to buy AP resets"

Edit: Pretty sure answer is yes, but for confirmation: Advanced homing's bonus damage is a multiplier, not a additive bonus correct?

Im thinking of trying out windraiders on my brawler, but kinda dont want to do it during 2x event. And since i havent done any quests, its a long trek there and back, so just thought i would see what others though about this potential training area. Has anyone tried lower ascent on a brawler yet? I thought it would be good, cuz i seem to remember there being a good spawn, but then again, the Stormbreakers might be a pain. I only have 110 acc, and the only thing that would change would be if i xferred my 9 dex earrings over. So any suggestions? Should i wait till like 75 or so, to hit the Stormbreakers better? Or could i go at 65 and just more or less ignore the breakers/ buy amoria baskets.

Ask a Pirate Thread - Russt - 2008-11-27

You don't need to touch the Stormbreakers at all if you train at LA. The Windraider spawn can keep up by itself. It'll slow down eventually after all the Stormbreaker platforms become saturated, but it's no big deal even then.

At my level, 31, on my brawler with 30 base dex, and damage range of 41~314, max SSK, Flash fist, and BT, where should I train?
I'm not effective in CPQ yet, and I want to grind on the 2x event tomorrow.

So what do I do?

Ask a Pirate Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2008-11-27

^I'm not an expert on brawlers but I'd choose wherever you would have trained in 2x meaning ant tunnel and the like.

Ask a Pirate Thread - Russt - 2008-11-27

Excavation Site III. If not, Ariant.

I heard Sakura Cellions and Jr Kitties are good exp early 3x, if you have the ACC to hit them. Sniper pots should make up most of the difference if you dont. If you are not that funded, which judging by the reg dex build you arent, Stony Masks arent bad, and im sure there are a few places in Singapore that are good training.

To be a bit more specific, there are 5 major platforms with windraiders, 4 medium platforms with stormbreakers, and 2-3 more small ones with windraiders.

Generally you can stay at the 2 bottom platforms (all Windraiders). When spawn runs out, use the statue to warp to the top of the map (it's on the bottom windraider platform). Run to the right, clear that platform, drop down (to the next big platform), clear that, run to the right end of the platform. Drop down onto a small platform with windraiders on it, drop down again to another with windraiders, drop down again and you're back at the big bottom platforms. No need to cross a platform with Stormbreakers at any point.
Sometimes you also have to clear the Windraider platform on the left (the one with the entrance to Jack Barricade's map on it) but it's not necessary to the spawn and I only do it cause a Crimson Tree spawns there and the wood is valuable.

With fake shot it shouldn't be too hard to kill stormbreakers. O_o

Don't know if it's been answered, but is there any proof that energy charge ignores/cancels out an apple in GMS?

Ask a Pirate Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2008-11-28

1. From kms/jms people, what do you recommend on the following:

a. Number of blaze/glaze capsules
b. How "Use" slots should be set up on a 28 slot basis

2. For training purposes, is the only skill really needed battleship canon to effectively train get a good exp rate. This pertains only to other 4th job skills, no 3rd job skills or below

3. Will it "destroy my build" or be "heavily suggested to avoid this" if I were to max Advanced homing early by maxing it in 13x or 14x latest?
