anyway, the term defensive class or tanker class doesnt really exist in maple, it's all attack or nothing. a real tanker should have skill that absorb damage done to ally into self or skill that focus all attack on you or any kind of skill that prevent party from getting hit.

You can't argue that paladins don't have more defensive skills than any other class. You can't argue that heroes don't have some of the most powerful attacks in the game. Dark knights are for support and power i guess.

I've noticed people want DKS more than they want heroes though.Now it just seems like its a high level Aran or bust >.>

Just wondering, how does brave slash work with 1h sword/ axes in general.
Sword =/= Axe
and, Brandish had a different animation for 1h sword iirc so will Brave Slash?

I personally think they just forgot to put in the animation..

But who knows, they might update it in the [next?] Tespia patch.

Now that shadower's have shadow partner, what's the distinction
between the three thief adventure classes?

NLs, Shadowers, and DBs appear to be high dpm classes now but
I'm wondering about what separates them other than range/close
up style of gameplay.

NLs, Shadowers, and DBs appear to be high dpm classes now.

NLs attack from afar, and have high Critical Rates and Critical Damage.

Shadowers attack from up close, and have the greatest survivability among the three.

DBs attack from up close and are generally rather fragile compared to the other two, but make up for it in damage.

i think shadowers are still going to be low dpm
i think the shadow partner was just a means for the shadower to catch up to the monsters that have been beefed up
they'll probably be at around the same spot in terms of dpm

Really?

I don't see nexon adding shadow partner just for shadowers to stay the same when they
could have increased their skills instead.

It wouldn't be fair to the NLs because the NLs will need to use Summoning Rocks for high damage while Shadowers won't?

we're gonna actually jump onto top 5 best dpmers (or at least close to that spot)
they incrased dmg on some skills, some got nerfed yet the sp adds around 30% or so to our dpm (fran did some calculations in this thread iirc).
not to mention we probably be able to hit dmg cap (1mil!) with last assa hit fully charged + idk like 300-700? on first 3 hits (under apple and se) thats alone without sp (so basically like 2-4mil dmg per 8-10 secs?
we're not gonna be weak anymore
(all the numbers from assa dmg are estimate.)

So from my understanding so far, bowmasters are really really weak right? Low multiplier and hurricane only doing 200%. Just a quick look at TT, brave slash with FA and ACB, and cannon with homing, bowmasters don't even come close to half of their damage. And crit doesn't even seem to boost that much damage at all. I think right now rapid fire alone beats hurricane since gun's multiplier is ridiculously higher than bow's, so what's the point for bowmaster? They can't even be seduce mule and SE can easily be granted from a marksman. Hopefully marksmen don't get shafted, there's still hope for their snipe bringing them to top tier class. Hopefully they'll make hurricane 300% or make crit work differently for archers. Everything is out of whack, NL gets more hp and resistance and higher damage, while archers get...it's too depressing lol. Glad I have other chars to migrate to, it's probably a sign.

Don't worry, hopefully there's a patch sometime this week that will balance the balancing Big Grin

1) Bow Expert 30 = 60% Mastery, + WA 30 (passive)
2) Concertate 30 = + WA 25 (active, half the time)
3) Hurricane 30 = 200% dmg
4) SE = 15% chances of 30% additional cric dmg
5) Dodge 20% (technically, it means u get less hit often, thus can deal longer constant dmg hence improving DPS, in addition, if u dodge mob attack, ur next attack will have additional cric dmg)

Low multiplier? your dmg formula? do they actually even nid higher multiplier? :f6:
How did you come out with the impression that BM is really really weak? Just becuz they stayed under the radar and not getting the limelight doesn't actually mean that they are weak. They are actually the quietiest job that got more boaster than the rest
