What's wrong with them? I thought it seemed more like they were "going back to their roots" in designing. Most of the new ones don't have over the top features. Plain looking mouse, plain looking pidgeon, simplistic gears, and even the new Gorilla and Zebra look like they'd fit fine with Gen 1. The only thing that really stands out is the new psychic type. Aside from that, everyone else seems pretty fine.
I honestly don't see what people complain about. It's either "not pokemon anymore" or "not creative."
Seriously, pick one or the other. Are you guys looking for NEW Pokemon that look different from the rest and stand out, or Pokemon that can blend in perfectly well with the Gen 1 Pokemon and stand out less?

Crap, Zekrom is Part electric ;~; I tried to deny it for so long, but now I have to deal with it. Atleast we FINALLY get a fire dragon mix, five generations in.
Also, I hope they keep the pokemon following you effect. I always assumed they didn't include it in other screen shots show they could keep newer pokemon a secret, but now it seems they are gonna' keep that feature :>

I highly doubt that the scan shows us the entire world map. For one, it currently looks too small in terms of scale when compared to the other world maps (it doesn't even look like there are enough towns for the 8 gyms, unless that rumor really is true and the games really ditch the standard gym stuff), and you can clearly see a path leading up to something that's been cut off and obscured by some text in the north. It also looks like there's something that has been cut off to the right, although it might just be the result of the not-perfect quality of the scan, and that it's likely just an odd-looking cloud.
Anyone else notice the three mountains to the left? I'm going to take a bet that the legendaries have some relation to that area.
