Akatsuki no Yona: eh, some asian historical drama in animated form really
Amagi Brilliant Park: Gotta get my hands on those AV's... err what do you mean they aren't the normal AV's
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal: Eh
Cross Ange: Its a clusterpineapple of a mess by sunrise with Jesus Yamato thrown in. The only character I like is the commander
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: better than what i initially expected, but not "great"
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken: My favorite part on each episode is the ED
Denki-gai no Honya-san: pretty consistent with episodes, but i feel like its missing a WOW factor.
Gundam Build Fighters Try: Uncontested best Gundam girls of season or gtfo
Gundam: G no Reconguista: It's picking up a bit of steam, but some scenes are still kinda random and dont fit in with the series. (e.g laughing hippo scene)
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de: IMO its okay, but considered the largest disapointment in my opinion
Log Horizon 2nd Season: Real life akatsuki is so much cuter
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji: Pretty bland shoujo
Psycho-Pass 2:
Spoiler
still mad they killed off the hot one
Sanzoku no Musume Ronja: tis slow paced
Shirogane no Ishi: Argevollen: meh
Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete: Remotely no idea where this show is heading tbh
edit: 11/17: the biggest disapointment did a good turn around with the current episode(Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-Kei) Almost a complete 3 minutes of Hatako breaking down MAJOR props for Saori Hayami for the performance
I was pretty glad that Leon wasn't a werewolf in the end, but I almost wish that the tension between his amnesia and the sketchy church lasted longer. I'm still looking forward to each episode and I'm curious to see how his separation will be handled. Honestly red flags are being flown to the skies for me, though things seem to be resolved rather nicely.

what the pineapple man, I don't even know what's happening anymore, this pomegranate is going full Geass trainwreck mode.
I don't think it ever made sense from the get go.
Akira = dark comedy relief that whole episode.
Try explain main story only making it more vague and stupid haha
So this is the much hyped Mother's Rosario arc? I dig it so far. I'm impressed at SAO's ability to make Kirito incredibly bland for many episodes at a time then dial the badass level off the charts on a whim.
BUY OUR GUNPLA S2 E7
That was quite impressive... they managed to redeem the Destiny Gundam
Gundam Reconguista
I decided to give it another shot. Starting to look a little better now that they've started explaining the world and the tech more. I mean, who's the genius who decided it was a good idea to downgrade to physical arm shields again when even gruntmobiles had beam shielding in Victory?
Cross Ange
Bah
Unlimited Blade Works 7
I was worried I wouldn't be able to take Caster seriously after Carnival Phantasm... but that wasn't the case.

Kirito is only a badass when he plays a minor role
Okay so we're a bit more than halfway through this season, here are my thoughts so far on stuff i'm still following:
Spoiler
UBW - Overall good adaption, nothing to really complain about. Animation is top quality and they're following the route pretty closely with just a few minor changes. I'm not sure how glad i was with the way they showed Gae bolg, but then again i'm not sure how else they should've portrayed it.
Garo - This is one of the surprises for me this season, almost all episodes manage to be really good and enjoyable, episode 7 wasn't that great but that was essentially the lowest point of the series so far with episode 8 taking it back up again. Really loving Roberto, too bad he has deathflags up the ass.
Parasyte - This adaption is supposedly pretty faithful, and i'm enjoying it a lot. I can definitely see why it's a story that gets a lot of praise and i will probably end up reading the original after it is done airing.
DATABASE DATABASE - Akatsuki arc was a bit bland but atleast we're going raiding again, plus akatsuki will stop being gloomy and will be great almost 24/7 from now on.
Nanatsu no Taizai - I wasn't even planning to pick this up when the season started and i typically don't really care for new shounen series that seem like they're going to be generic as pineapple. But this series is really taking a somewhat generic setting and making the best of it with some fun characters. Also dat soundtrack and dat elizabeth.
Shingeki no Bahamut - Thought this was just going to be a generic ad for a stupid card game, instead i got a great fantasy setting with fun characters. Some people seem to dislike the main character but i really love his character type, they're pretty interesting when done right. Also if i didn't already know it was for a card game i probably wouldn't ever have made that connection.
Cross ange - Suffering and dragons seems to have become an alright story with some potential over the past few episodes and seems to have dropped the whole rape thing. Ange has also become a pretty good character whereas i hated her in the first few episodes. This can either be great or it can turn out really poorly. Also TOTALLY NOT JESUS is probably gonna win the angebowl.
Danna ga Nani - It's too short! Every week this manages to make me smile, it's not much but it's enough to make me look forward to it each week. Sad it's gonna stop in a few weeks.
Chaika - Chaika still just being adorable and Toru still not accepting the contract. ACCEPT THE CONTRACT ALREADY. Fredrica a best.
Vanadis - This started out pretty fun but honestly my interest in it has died down a little bit, i'll probably keep watching the anime and then read the novels after it has aired. We need more characters that use bows though, that's for sure.
Magic Kaito - I wish i could be that smooth, that's all i have to say about this great show.
Psycho-Pass 2 - Somehow i'm enjoying the individual episodes more than i did most of season 1 but i feel i'll end up enjoying season 1 more as a whole. I simply haven't come to care for a lot of the new characters and i have a feeling a few of them will die soon. Akane is also still moe as pineapple.
Sanzoku no Musume Ronja - One of the better adaptions this year, had to get used to the CG but damn this is like reliving my childhood all over again. So damn good and fun. They really nailed both Ronja and Birk's attitudes.
Amagi - This series is fun for the most part and Sento is great, but i feel like there's a lot of wasted potential and that it's going a bit too fast. There's a lot of things i would've loved to see them improve upon and work on and characters to develop. But oh well, only 1 cour to work with iirc.
Denki-gai - The show ranges from fun to boring to cringy, some episodes i'm really enjoying it and then the next episode i don't really care too much. Atleast the ending is super catchy.
Inou-Battle - pomegranate just got real in the most recent episode with hakoto. I've always been really bad with cringe-worthy characters which is probably my biggest problem with the series as the MC annoys me, but overall it's a good show i think.
Twintails - I love self-aware dumb shows! It's great fun where i can just turn off my brain.
Shirobako - This show is somehow really entertaining and makes me feel a bit more forgiving about stuff like recap episodes after 12-13 episodes in some shows(No that doesn't make a recap after 6 episodes okay @ bahamut). I love slice of life shows about people at work, glad "Working!!" is coming back in a few seasons.
Terra Formars - This adaption started out so bad but now it's actually become an alright adaption with some occasional bad animation. I wish the adaption had been like this all along and that they hadn't gone full BLACK CIRCLES. The few changes they've made to the story have also been overall okay i feel. Adolf best character.
Grisaia - Rushed as pineapple, just watching it for the cute girls, gonna play the VN relatively soon i think.
Trinity Seven - MC is great and almost all the girls are great too. It plays off the OP main character thing pretty well although i feel the school setting is kind of wasted. Lilith is also pretty annoying at times, if she'd just stop the violent tsundere pomegranate and would just be a tsundere she'd be great.
Akatsuki no Yona - Way too many flashbacks in the first 3-4 episodes but now it's become an okay show, not really great or good but it's alright. I didn't really like the whole "you must seek out the four dragons" reveal, seemed too sudden.
Shigatsu - Teen melodrama incoming, followed the manga a bit, not even sure why i'm watching it still. Probably because of the decent animation and music i think. Damn the anime made me dislike Kaori even more than i already did.
And stuff i've dropped:
Spoiler
World Trigger - Dropped after 2 episodes, the world and characters were so uninteresting and unfunny it was incredibly. Ontop of that the animation was a little more than watching a powerpoint going from slide to slide. SO MANY STILLS.
Gugure! Kokkuri-san - Typically i thought this would be the kind of show i would enjoy, but somehow i just didn't really find any of the skits to be that funny. Just lost interest after episode 3 entirely.
I think that was everything i'm following this season? I'm following way too much in just one season!
Yuuki Yuna wa Yuusha de Aru 09: Amazing episode. brb gonna go die now. This ED. How are they gonna wrap this up.
Spoiler
What I really liked the most about this episode was how Fuu blew up. I was just thinking that this entire scenario, a lot of people would just go and murder fucking everyone, but naww they're just middle school girls. Major props for trying though.
selector spread WIXOSS 08~09: This show is creepy as pineapple, as if it wasn't bad enough as it was.
>You can wish for anything you want
>Revenge
Trinity Seven 09: I find this show to be quite enjoyable. But it needs more Levi.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso 09: This was a pretty heavy episode. Especially with the death flag. But damn. That was pretty awful.
Spoiler
Does anyone else think this end card is in bad taste?
Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru 10: mahou shoujo is suffering. Really nice touch with the ED this episode too. I'm guessing we'd have to wait for a character CD or something for this version.
Hitsugi no Chaika - Avenging Battle 10: Quite anticlimactic of an ending honestly. That tentacle pomegranate and moaning was pineappleed up. Even I'll admit that. Pretty hawt moan though but still.
Spoiler
I had read somewhere one of the staff said she only lost her fake memories. From what we see, it really feels like she lost all of them. I always felt it was heavily implied that she might have been the "real daughter", but I guess even the memory of being beheaded was implanted?
ALSO THE FUCKING GUN
I HAVE A PERSONALITY
FLIES THE pineapple OFF
GETS CHAINED UP AND LOCKED AWAY
GG
Infinite Stratos 2 - World Purge OVA: Honestly. Ichika is so pineappleing stupid. This and Date A Live are probably some of the worst types of shows out there; overflowing amount of obvious affection for MC, and he has no clue. The first thing that he's told is they're seeing an ideal version of their world, where they're about to be raped by him. i.e. being raped by Ichika is their greatest fantasy. He still has no pineappleing clue what that means. They're all such sluts.
Cross Ange 10: Oh boy. This animation quality. And then the whole "I'm gonna sing, see if you can kill me now". Terrible.
Felt a bit down, found a cute little magical girl anime called Yuuki Yuuna. 2-3 episodes in I was like "hell, this is really cute, I like this" but I felt uneasy, there was foreshadowing, there were vague mysteries and unanswered questions (like what that blurry thing is that they are trying to protect, what exactly the creatures are that they are fighting, why they get "exp" after killing an enemy, ect)
It was halfway through episode 8 when it dawned on me what was going on.
Spoiler
Jogo has 3 faerys at the beginning, when everybody else has 1, which means she must have mankai'd twice, once losing the use of her legs, and the second time her memories. She went through that whole thing before, and then of course you find out that other heroes have lost themselves to the system before and they are some kind of human sacrifice.. I mean god damn.
It's like every magical girl show these days is trying to out-angst the previous one.
EDIT: episode 9: It gets sadder!
EDIT: episode 10: my speculation was spot on. also: holy pomegranate. getting all Homura-chan.

I was thinking more along the lines of "the more physical ailments a person has the more faeries they have", but what you said may be true as well.
As a fully 3DCG movie, it caused a bit of controversy and got some hate for that. Overall I think the animation was done very well. It took a little while to adjust to but after the first few scenes it did not stand out. The action scene I thought were very good, but I'm a fan of 3dCG mech battles so there is some bias. I think machines can just naturally look better in CG than other things like people or animals. Some of the scenes of the population in the cities were almost indistinguishable from traditional animation and the scenery was beautiful. The only things that bothered me at times was the lighting/contrast of some features like the character's hair.
Soundtrack:
I'm not really a music guy so I don't have much to say here. Overall it was good, nothing amazing that would make me want to run out and buy the OST. EONIAN was great, and the music building up to the final battle was good. Nothing else really stood out to me.
Characters:
It really focused on three characters, Angela Balzac, Dingo, and Frontier Setter, with Deva security council also playing an important role but not featured as much. The rest of the characters were very minor. Angela Balzac:
The main character and focus of the movie. A security officer of the Deva "paradise" sent to earth to find and eliminate whoever was hacking into their system. Proud and confident, as well as a bit stubborn. When she first lands on earth she is completely focused on her mission and quite idealistic about Deva and Frontier Settler (FS). She sees no merit or enjoyment in a physical body and considers Deva a paradise. She wants to prove herself and advance in society. She was also quite tsun to Dingo (then again she is voiced by the Queen of Tsunderes, Rie Kugimiya). She insists on supporting herself and pushing herself to the limits but quickly learns of the limitations of having a real body. As she travels with Dingo she sees and learns more about the world, and her conviction with Deva slowly fades. After her conversation with Dingo about the ideals and society of Deva she understands FS a bit more and decides to trust him. After being betrayed by Deva and joining with FS, she protects his reason for existence while also noticing how interesting the world can be. She declines FS offer to travel with him and instead decides to experience a real world, forgoing the virtual. I did not initially like her personality but really warmed to her as the movie progressed and liked how she evolved. Dingo:
I really loved Dingo, his personality and philosophies. At first he comes off as a jerk, using Angela to make some money and destroying her mech, but he quickly proves he knows what he is doing. He seems as a laidback guy just in it for the end goal, but he has a plan and is shown to care for Angela (not in a romantic but supportive way). He knows society and how life on earth is. He examines the situation and surroundings to come up with a plan to find FS. When they finally find him, he is able to converse with him without any problems, and hits it off with FS. When asked by Angela why he does not want to live in Deva, he explains himself well. Why live in a "paradise" where your enjoyment is based on how much you suck up to society? He enjoys his life on earth even if it is not perfect. When Deva decide to attack FS, he stays back to help defend him and his dream instead of running to save himself. His use of traps and tactics to overcome stronger opponents was enjoyable to watch. Overall I really liked him and his way of life and philosophy.
Frontier Settler:
An AI that became sentient and self-aware. Not one of those "computers taking over the world/getting rid of humanity" types. He works towards his mission while learning about the world and himself. Had a interesting and polite personality. He welcomed the duo to his base while explaining his purpose and apologizing of any trouble and harm he caused. He had reached out to the citizens of Deva to inform them and ask for volunteers, but was misunderstood. I'm happy he was able to fulfill his mission although it was sad to see him go alone. The post-credit scene of him singing while going out into space was a nice touch.
Deva (Security):
Typical type of overlord council. Does not allow anything that could compromise their power or security and would rather use violence and force to eliminate a problem before fully investigating or trying to negotiate. They control all of society with many probably clueless.
Story:
Overall I enjoyed it. The ideas about paradise and society were interesting. Is a world where you have to constantly have to work your way up and curry favor with those above you something you would enjoy? Where if you don't work for society constantly you are limited by what others think of you? I'm sure some people would fit in well in Deva's society and even love it. It would not be something for me and probably many others. Being limited to what you can enjoy not through your effort or work but what other's decide is actually something that does happen in society, although it's not as clear cut as in Deva.
Action and battles:
The fight scenes were animated very well. The choreography was good, although sometimes it was hard to follow when everyone was flying around shooting. They were nice to watch and enjoyable.
Fanservice: So I might as well mention this since it was present. The fanservice was not ridiculously over the top and in your face, but was present, more so at the beginning. Angela starts out with a shapely figure and swimsuit that accentuates it. The little hacker chase segment also features her naked and does show her nipples. She chooses to go with a younger body, but the story does try to explain that by her wanted to reach earth first. Her suit on earth was quite revealing, with bouncing (but not to ridiculous amounts) boobs and nothing much at the bottom (she did have quite a nice ass). I don't think the fanservice really detracted from the movie or ruined any aspects.
I'm really interested to see what kind of effect the movie will have in Japan and here on the anime market and industry. How will 3DCG improve and when will we see more full 3DCG movies instead of hand drawn or hybrids? Overall I enjoyed the movie and would probably give it a 7/10. It fun to watch, and the animation turned out well. The story was interesting and had some unique ideas.
