Nexon Marketing Research - DrRusty - 2009-03-10 byakugan Wrote:If you really believed in all that you and your guild woudln't be making a business out of the PQ. I've heard you're of the few ones to still pq despite the glitch and i think the many pendants selling in all your stores proves it I have no control over what my guild does with the pendants they get. I myself have been glitched since the day the PQ came out. I haven't been able to go on my pirate since I went into the bonus stage. I earned my pendant by organizing my own run. Even so, I wish the fight was harder than it was. And if you think we're selling a lot of pendants..... you should go check out ch 13 fm 3..... Nexon Marketing Research - Orit - 2009-03-10 byakugan Wrote:On topic: Lol nexon in your house. They just care to find other ways to get more nx out of us Just look at the preliminary questions in Himes' post: they want to know whether advertising on Facebook or on WoW fansites is going to get them more players. These are the Marketing people, not anyone you can talk to about the actual content of the game except in the broadest of terms ("We want more content for players in the top levels" or "We want all the content made in other version to get here ASAP"). You might be able to talk to them about the problem of customer service, GM presence, hacking, etc. Try to stress how many people you know quit the game in disgust because of bad experiences with the above. Nexon Marketing Research - Stereo - 2009-03-10 DrRusty Wrote:It's not about selling pendants...... it's about an easier boss fight giving a better reward. If Nexon opened Horntail up in every ch, do you think anyone would try to take him down? No they wouldn't. Horntail is much harder than this easy ass fight. You can't take a bunch of random people and kill him because he requires a lot of coordination and team work. I took down this boss with RANDOM people and no apples.... How the fk does that merit a better reward? What do you mean by harder? Take more pots? Bring apples? Be 40 levels higher so you have the necessary acc/hp? As long as you know how to deal with Seduce (ie. bring some guy to get seduced who knows where to stand), HT is just another "sit and shoot" boss, if you take down the bodyparts in order there's no danger except that he'll 1hko you.. Nexon Marketing Research - DrRusty - 2009-03-10 Stereo Wrote:What do you mean by harder? Take more pots? Bring apples? Having to deal with switching who is seduce when the first seduce dies. Trying to rez a ranged class who needs HB to survive. It's not "sit and shoot" boss like you're imagining it is. There's a lot of people who have failed runs on horntail because they're not coordinated enough. Our guild likes to take out the right hand before we move to the right head. It makes it more fun to deal with mass seduce while there's still 1/1's going around. Even though it's a crude way to make a boss fight harder; bringing up damage is an effective way to do it. They could also add in seduce. Nexon Marketing Research - IsaacGS - 2009-03-10 DrRusty Wrote:If it brings you from being able to take 2 hits down to only being able to take 1 hit, then that makes the fight harder. And so what if it makes people have to level up higher to be able to take a hit in the fight?Sorry that you see asking for a boss that doesn't kill me in one hit with an unavoidable attack that hits the whole map as being "Too easy". Frankly, I'm sick and tired of going to all these bosses that kill me in one hit. What am I supposed to do right now? Let's list all the bosses that can still OHKO me (And even if I have that pendant, will still OHKO me) 1. Papulatus 2. Pianus 3. Captain Latanica (this one especially pisses me off, he's a pineappleing weakling and he can still kill me. This is an example of high damage being a stupid restriction and not adding difficulty.) 4. New Bigfoot 5. Ergoth 6. Manon 7. Griffey 8. Black Crow And those are just the ones that are about equal to or lower than my level. So what does that leave? Headless Horseman. That's it. That is the only boss that I can fight that doesn't automatically kill me. With these guys, there's *finally* something that I can fight that's actually somewhat challenging and still doesn't completely wipe me out. You would have them increase the damage buy 1,000 for no reason? Do you have any idea how long it takes an archer to gain 1,000 HP? We wouldn't even be able to go until almost 150!! That's completely ridiculous. And you know what, that wouldn't even exclude the lower levels of all classes, it would just exclude BMs, MMs, and NLs. That's hardly fair. Judging by the diary thing they posted, they wanted to help people from 110-135 to move up into real high level territory, and in my opinion they've definitely accomplished this because the damage isn't so high as to exclude these people. It's an interesting boss fight that we can take part in and enjoy, which up till this point was sorely lacking. Is the pendant overpowered? Maybe, but I could care less about the pendant aside from the HP it gives me, which gives me about 8-10 levels worth of HP over the sheriff badge which I can use to fight the other bosses. All I wanted was a boss to take down that was level appropriate, and they *finally* made one. I haven't fought either one (all the CKPQs I went on glitched, and I don't really try to go to HT), so it's just based on what people say (I know a few people who do weekly HT). And what they tell me is that you just stand in one spot and hold attack. Sure you get bumped back/forward sometimes (except warriors due to stance) but you're not running around the map like you would at the various Balrogs. And Bishops will always have a little more work to do, since they're the only supportive class in the game. @ rewards people had to work for, it's pretty much the same high levels' fault when that happens. Level 50s aren't killing Zakum themselves, they're buying Helmets from people who can. If you want people to fight their own fights, don't sell the fight to them. With a level 50 warrior having more hp than a 120 Bowman, there's no real way to stop 1 from attending a boss and not the other. Who's stopping a BM from MTS'ing the NX needed to HP wash, wear HP gear, or just add HP when they level? When HT first came out, everyone who got their pend had to figure out how the boss works and go from there. Rich people who wanted their pend early had to pay for it. Everyone else had to set up a run and get it themselves. What's stopping everyone else from doing the same? So many people act like they're helpless. That they need to buy a helm or pend. Is it so impossible to take charge and do shiet yourself? The people who first started killing zak and horntail worked as a team to do it. With this PQ you don't even have to set up a run at all. You can just go to FM and buy the damn reward. No. There are two facets to bossing, one is being able to survive and the other is having a useful contribution in terms of damage. By putting points into HP, you lose your ability to contribute to damage. What difference does it make if you can survive if no one will take you because your damage sucks? I always want to smack people who say "lol AP to HP" because they have no understanding how it works. The boss is fine the way it is, maybe the reward is unbalanced but the bosses shouldn't be what's changed here. If they never released the pendant, or didn't make it as strong as it is, I wouldn't say anything. Maybe make it give +10 stats and the 300 Hp would have been great for ranged classes as a secondary pendant for extra HP. The boss fight is fun, even I think that. I just think it's too easy for the reward it gives. Nexon Marketing Research - Stereo - 2009-03-10 DrRusty Wrote:That they need to buy a helm or pend. Is it so impossible to take charge and do shiet yourself? It is when groups monopolize the boss and block people from getting them. (not that that happened to Zakum/HT anything) Or the fact that due to Nexon's inability to balance the classes at bosses, there are a half dozen classes who will never be stronger than a level 125 BM. (more specifically, I'll be about level 210 on my Paladin before I can outdamage a 125 BM at pap) & if it's for sale, people will buy it. Don't want someone to buy a pendant in the FM? Don't sell it to them. Nexon Marketing Research - Hazzy - 2009-03-10 DrRusty Wrote:The boss fight is fine the way it is. The reward is what i have been complaining about. If it's about equal to a HT Pendent, then it's fine. Maybe having four drop per PQ is a bit much.... I haven't done the PQ, so I can't comment on how hard it is. :/ I don't really get why they limited Eggs per HT Pendent... I think someone mentioned here about a certain guild doing that in Scania, not sure if they're still at it though. Heck, it could also be safe to say that hackers are fighting each other so they can HT all they want, even if they have to show other ones aside. Nexon Marketing Research - jikos - 2009-03-10 wtp are you all babbling about? re-read your posts and the thread title, rusty and isaac and tell me if they are in any way related? isn't there already a sticky to peach about how much balls your class sucks? Nexon Marketing Research - dpeterlin - 2009-03-11 I'd fly to LA if i was guaranteed an interview with anyone that mattered within Nexon I could probs chat his/her ear off for hours on end too Its a shame that the dedicated players probably arent who they are looking to get responses from Nexon Marketing Research - Dusk - 2009-03-11 Hazzy Wrote:Stat bonuses only help low stat/statless classes. ._. Everyone who cares about damage should be "low stat." That is the intelligent way to build your character. There is a difference between AP statless and equip statless. Equip statless classes benefit the most from this pendant. AP statless people need to stop being such pansies about adding a few points into their secondary stat. It doesn't make them any weaker. Nexon Marketing Research - Devilswork - 2009-03-11 i love being an old school build MSer, and i really don't understand the HOW on dmg hoars love to get low def and high dmg instead Normal Def and Normal/Sightly high dmg :f6: and to the marketing thing, dude, really, do you want a nexon dude on your Home to try to tell him how to banish hackers or try to get some Non MORON programmers instead more NX or CS items considering that on Global are so many guys that doesn't even had a dam pet looting their drops. btw, i share the though with Stereo... .... High Priced items are no good for new MSers... that's what force them to hack to get more mesos ![]() sorry for my english Nexon Marketing Research - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-03-11 just a heads up, i got an email back from them D: ive gotta set em up to call on my ccell phone, ill let ya guys know in summary what was dicussed. |
