Yeah there's mean, dumb kitties, too, but that's because they haven't been raised in a loving environment. Anything is like that, even humans! Dogs can be way more evil than cats can be. Dogs are just SO stupid. Yeah yeah, they can be trained. WOO HOO. Most dogs are so retarded...just watch them sometimes. And they're MUCH harder to train than kitty cats. Cats just KNOW to use their litter box. Frickin' dogs are like, "Hurrr...floor is spot to PEE and POOP. HURRR!" AND cats clean themselves. YEAH. I KNOW. They're always clean and preetttyyy and soft. Dogs are nasty and disgusting smelling. Sick.
And let's not get started on the eye comparison! Cat eyes are the most incredible eyes EVER. Dog eyes are like stupid wannabe attention whores, always looking all black and pouty (and stupid).

Oh! And Mr. Opeth, who cares? Cats are the smart ones. Dogs are just asking to be hurt or KILLED. If something is dangerous, get away from it! Kitties know when to pick a fight.
While thinking of this topic we are in I related this to girls. Take out the unhygenic statements and I thought of a sterotypical "blonde." The cat is the "bookworm."
I love dogs for being idiots. I prefer an animal that will love me unconditionally, and be forgiving. I can clean up a little pee. Hell babies do the same thing. Can we blame dogs for doing some stupid things? No, of course not they don't know any better.
I feel like if I would do one wrong to a cat it would never look at me again, and imagine in its evil little head ways to torture/kill me. I can also argue that cats are idiots too. A smart animal wouldn't want to make the master angry unless they like the pound. Seems like they really know when to pick a fight.
So what if cats clean themsleves? Teaches you some responsibility to take care of a dog. Learn some life skills.

Cats > dogs, all the time. Cats are pretty self reliant too, and are good at catching bugs and mice, should there be a problem with those. I love my kitties.

Love you unconditionally? Pfft! Dogs just love you because they don't know any better. Cats, however, you have to earn their love! Kitties are like that hard to get female that's oh so worth the effort. You tell me honestly, who's gonna love you better? That easy woman who will give it away to anyone (dogs) or that difficult woman that required your very best to earn the trust of (cats)? YEAH. See what I did there? (something relevant to the thread, lol) Dogs love you by humping and/or drooling all over you while stinking. Cats love you by sleeping on your lap and keeping it warm and providing you smoothing music by purring.

And cats are very forgiving, unless you're a prick to them or something (those jerks who kick them and other mean stuff alsdfjkals). If you accidentally step on a kitty, they'll forgive you later if you apply the right amount of love and show you're sorry. I know firsthand! My kitties always forgive when I accidentally roll over when they are sleeping on me! Always!
A truly smart animal (or heck, woman) knows how to play their master (companion). Heh heh, you'll learn! If you want to get everything you want (love, food, whichever you're following), you have to learn to play the game! If a kitty wants some extra attention, they'll make you feel bad by hanging out by themselves all day until you miss them and seek them out to apply extra attention! Now let's look at women. They do the same thing! Women know how to get their man longing for them - just like kitties!

My kitties always make sure no flies, boxelder bugs and ladybugs remain alive in our house for long. Very efficient and adorable hunters. Our new kitty (took her in when she was very young with a broken leg, after her mean mommy kitty left her on our patio) even caught her first mouse not long ago in our basement. Such a wonderful cat.

I want to have all types of love. Since I can't have all these different types of women since that is wrong I would chose a dog. Dogs just make you feel better. I earn the love of humans not my animals. Had a bad day? No worrys your dog won't see you differently. Lose control of your weight? Don't worry your dog is there for comfort. Etc.
You just can't stay mad at a dog. They are innocent, playful, and loving. What more could you ask for? They are happy for what they get. Pretty humble animals in my opinion.
Cats could do this, but it isn't really a given. There are always exceptions, but we are talking generally.

Yeah, there are exceptions. I thought cats to be selfish and sadistic, but my brother's cat is very friendly and sweet. He always comes up to you and jumps in your arms. Not really mean, like most cats I met can be.
