Didn't Nier say you could ask for a Pokemon, or was I on drugs? Of course just because you could ask for one doesn't mean you would get it, but it seems pointless for the host to do something like that.

Also how would powers even work in that scenario? Unless powers are randomized and have nothing to do with the pokemon, but then what's the point of even having pokemafia?
