YennoX Wrote:They better not reset the quests in Masteria because I will be mad if my Mark of Heroism and Map of Phantom Forest don't work anymore.
Damn it you reminded me that I dropped those a while back when they became uselessFrownI hope I can get them again.

It should. The problem is doing CWK PQ for the taos.

Getting old Masteria back would mean we get the easy 60% GFA quest back, hopefully that remains unchanged. Bigfoot/HH will need a significant HP/exp buff to be worth hunting again like we did back in the day.

Wonder how energy will work for party voyages, could potentially be able to run more voyages per day than we can now if it only uses the energy of the party leader's vessel. Yay for more vessel EXP/denaro/chances at drops!

the quest never was deleted, you could access bigger ben with a hyper teleport rock and do the quest still. the only change is that the monsters inside are of different level now so its not really a level 36 quest monster wise anymore

I don't see why it would only use the party leader's energy.
Every other PQ/expedition requires every member to have whatever entry token is needed and uses up everyone's entry limit (if there is one). Except Papulatus and Zakum, where everyone loses an entry count but only one Crack or Eye of Fire is consumed. But those are ancient bosses and that model is no longer used anywhere new.

Well they are keeping the alien base corridor at least...

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - Green4Ever - 2014-02-06

Honestly, the only thing I care about from the old NLC is Bigfoot, but if they don't revamp him, he'll just be a complete joke, even to low level players.
I really miss the old Bigfoot and his massive touch damage. He was one of my favorite bosses to hunt down and kill, I didn't even care about the exp.

But yeah, like others have already said, I don't see this being something that I'll be devoting much time towards. It'll be nice to stroll down memory lane for an hour or two, and then I'll completely lose interest.

Nion Wrote:What they should do is make the past NLC the "present" and the alien invaded world "the future" that Foxwitt had created with his time machine stuff.

they way i imagined it happening was that the efforts of all the people grinding at aliens had repelled them to a small corner of masteria. Heart

anyway - yay i still kept all my maps of the forest. also i still have my crimson seeds for that quest which i forgot to do last time Cool

though now i will have to do the jq Eek

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - Niernen - 2014-02-06

I wonder if they updated/balanced any of the mobs.

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - PirateIzzy - 2014-02-06

Niernen Wrote:I wonder if they updated/balanced any of the mobs.

I just wonder if they balanced the quests. They still have low level requirements (such as 40+), while the mobs are 100+

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - hadriel - 2014-02-06

One thing that annoyed me was the inconsistent hit boxes of Wolf Spiders, back when I used to train there. Not the same as the case for Bigfoot btw.

Also, the horrendous drop rates for those quest items.

Otherwise, quite enjoyable.

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - Kirov - 2014-02-06

Like most people the most interesting thing for me will probably be the glove attack quest.

But it is nice to see it back I guess it shows they listen. They should have really updated it though, the highlights don't really seem to indicate they have. Maybe now that it is back there is a chance they will expand upon it again.

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - Ironical - 2014-02-06

Well, this was pretty unexpected. What I am expecting from the patch is some new training spots. :\

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - Ivangold - 2014-02-06

Maybe nexon want to buy time and put the action house and the revamp for cannoers/DB later, so they can have all the uptate, or we will just not get action house and the revamps not so soon Rolleyes, just like the Unlimited/Unleashed drop rate for bosses and stuff Rolleyes.

Oh I did enjoy that. Made a couple million mesos from turning in Windraider badges back when that was available.

However, all the other rewards are pretty outdated by today's standards.

The crimsonheart stuff would be cool to anvil stuff. Like the polearm.

Spotlight for the update... From what I can take it of it, it seems somewhat interesting. Area is for lv90+... Bosses look like they'd be a pushover for the more funded and not as threatening as their pre-bb versions. Still need more info and clarification on the commerci stuff and it being a party play zone for more denaros, as well as the aliens and nebulites?

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - Mentalist - 2014-02-10

At least now I can do Subani's Legacy quest without a Hyper Teleport Rock and farm as I did before.

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - maplefreak26 - 2014-02-10

"You asked for it, now it's here."
"You asked for it, now it's here."
"You asked for it, now it's here."
"You asked for it, now it's here."
"You asked for it, now it's here."

At least reword it so it doesn't sound repetitive, not to mention the announcer sounds less enthusiastic about this update compared to the last content spotlight.

Anyway, did not know Masteria was pronounced Mas-TERE (as in there)-ia, always pronounced it as Master-IA.

v.146 - Return to Masteria Update Highlights - YennoX - 2014-02-11

While they have doubled or tripled the stats of the Crimsonwood Keep bosses, they've probably boosted class power by at least 10 times already since the initial Materia release. Way to go. And don't know about everyone else, but telling us there's 'new loot' and then showing footage of some generic lv100 gear isn't quite what I would call exciting.
