v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - ChronosXIII - 2013-09-04 Only one character slot? Guess I'll be missing out on one of them then. If only I did the first Attendance event on multiple charcaters, in the set we just had. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Question - 2013-09-04 but there isn't any point to it since you cant extend ss rank... and most of the best monster is ss rank and now s rank is too easy I can always get s rank after like 5-10 combination atleast one I rather combine to make new s rank than spening 4 gems to extend new one ..unless im doing for level maybe I would extend then again it might be better to use that who know v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Killed - 2013-09-04 Kalovale Wrote:1. Southperry, insisting on "leaking" content, will go back to being outlawed by Nexon officially. Considering they don't care about how extractions are actually obtained, it'd be hard to believe they care about lol"leaking" of an update note here. It's not leaking when it's on the damn internet v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Christian - 2013-09-04 lol @ banning someone for their own mistake. Punish the people that pick up on your mistake aye Patch looking tight & solid. Bring on the fun! v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Takebacker - 2013-09-04 blink182 Wrote:lol @ banning someone for their own mistake. Forum moderators publish update notes? I welcome you to take a look at the following thread to see how we feel about updates being "leaked". Unfortunately I do not have moderation access here and so have limited options with how to deal with this sort of thing. Kalovale, I quite enjoy the relationship we have with Southperry. Make no mistake, the fansites that are listed on the official MapleStory website are expected to uphold a certain standard. If those standards are not being met then we would have to cut them from being an officially recognized fansite. Like I said, though, I do enjoy Southperry, and this one instance is not enough to jump to that drastic measure. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - SoR0XaS - 2013-09-04 Blunderr Wrote:I'm gonna ask this here too since it's more relevant to this thread... I just wish we got the notes asap... It cant really be that hard to write them. The patchs have to be planned at least days in advance (especially since they have notices for the game being down while they update). Couldnt they just have a rough draft, update it when they make changes for the next update, then publish it the day of or before the patch? They just get posted too late... v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Zerard - 2013-09-04 Killed Wrote:Considering they don't care about how extractions are actually obtained, it'd be hard to believe they care about lol"leaking" of an update note here. I have to agree. 'The internet never forgets' as they say. Once something gets out, you're going to have an exceedingly tough time of disposing of it. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Kirov - 2013-09-04 Seems an awful lot of fuss over some update notes, it's not like they got 'leaked' a month or something in advance. Whatever. Hopefully they add something about increasing the max slots to 30 or that slot coupon is worthless to me. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Eos - 2013-09-04 ShinkuDragon Wrote:what i don't get though, is why put them up even though they're incomplete, surely there's other ways of checking how the post will look on nexon's page. as someone said already, once it's up it's up for grabs. It was saved as a draft, not published. Notify wouldn't have posted it yet, had it been working, but Sapta looked ahead, found it and posted it to be helpful. It's not like Nexon posted it incomplete, they just have a garbage CMS. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Kaasoljoyyx - 2013-09-04 I'm assuming the notes were on the official site and them taken down later. I do want to let you guys know though that on dragon nest nexon forum, they have been really strict about this for about six months already. The notes don't go public on the dn site until just about when the patch finishes but anyone who posts the links to the notes early will get banned from the forum and the mods are watching like hawks on those days for anyone trying to post them early. Idk the exact reason why but I believe someone used the term "data mining" the nexon site which is strict violation of their rules. I assume its the same reason for maple and they're enforcing the rules on it more heavily now. I have a feeling nexon will not allow fan sites to post them either or they cut ties. Once they're public though its fine but if they're hidden, the DN team has made it very clear to not leak them publicly. They did have some fun with it though after a while. About 2-3 update notes in a row, they knew people would get the links so they just put a bunch of troll faces for the notes. Tl;dr: dn has been doing this for a while and maple is now following suit. Best recommendation is just abide by it as it seems to be their new company policy and maybe Korea got mad at them, who knows. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - moore4me - 2013-09-04 Wow not sure how to feel about some of the statements made in post #47, to me it almost came off as a threat. One thing I have always enjoyed about southperry was being able to voice my opinions on the game and the state of the game which is something you can not do on Nexon's Official Forum, the mods seem to take down anything negative even if it is true and has happened to me 3 different times. I would hate to have to start curtailing my comments on the state of the game in fear of some repercussions coming down on the owner of this forum. I get not wanting something made public before the company decides to, but the company did make it public. It was posted to the web and I am sure as we all know soon as something hits, even if for 1 second, it is out there forever. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Kalovale - 2013-09-04 > About 2-3 update notes in a row, they knew people would get the links so they just put a bunch of troll faces for the notes. This should be the ideal solution. v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Niernen - 2013-09-04 Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:I'm assuming the notes were on the official site and them taken down later. And why have the lnks up anyways, especially if they are going to fill them with troll faces? v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Tyler - 2013-09-04 moore4me Wrote:Wow not sure how to feel about some of the statements made in post #47, to me it almost came off as a threat. One thing I have always enjoyed about southperry was being able to voice my opinions on the game and the state of the game which is something you can not do on Nexon's Official Forum, the mods seem to take down anything negative even if it is true and has happened to me 3 different times. As much as I would agree with this and love the ability for the community to be able to voice themselves, the reason why moderators have likely been removing anything negative about Nexon is because they are more or less required (@Eos correct me if I'm wrong). For a site/community to be a fansite, they have to abide by some guidelines that are set on all fansites (as well as any other requests that are made privately). One of these guidelines is exactly what you're referring to: "Website content must not contain deflammatory content towards Nexon and Nexon games." Deflammatory content includes any user posted messages or content. If that isn't followed, there's a chance that the fansite will be dropped as being official, which is nothing good. Edit: Anyhow, just wait for the update notes guys. Aurtax is just looking out for what's right, and I don't hold his decision against him (we're on good terms). When the update notes are finalized they will be posted on the main site for the world to see. Until then, at least in regard to the ban stuff, just let it be, let it be~ let it be~ let it be~ *insert beatles lyrics here* v.141 - Cygnus Awakening Update Notes - Soulenite - 2013-09-04 CakesXD Wrote:Update notes are a little messed up. One of these guidelines is exactly what you're referring to: Last time I checked Nexon N.A. is based in the United States, NOT communist China. Have you ever heard of a little thing called freedom of speech, dude? And deflammatory isn't even a word. What you are searching for is defamatory, and you cannot defame somebody if what you are saying is true. TRUTH is the ultimate defense to libel, slander and defamation. And most of the negative posts against Nexon are totally true and break no laws, my friend. |
