It's possible that someone, maybe even someone with no relation to SP, searched for such content, found the thread, and the search engine having found the thread threw out the warning for it.
I of course have no idea if that's how it works, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was similar to that scenario.

Pick another ad provider at random, rewrite the ad interface to support them, and hope they pay as well or better.
As uncertain as all that is, not worth trying before the 72 appeal window is up.
