So, we get an annoying TV in the FM. Not the map change I hoped for. I would like a map change that makes all shop spots into fixed locations so toolio retards stop taking up two spots.

Don't worry, you can buy AP reset scrolls in the tempest shop.

What if they'll only bring half of the events to GMS and no Hot Times, so getting Coins will be three times as difficult?

What if part of Tempest includes GMs constantly summoning 50 empresses where the shop is located so nobody can survive long enough to buy things?

What ifs are fun.

Blarg, incoming Phantom nerfs.

On the high note, 4th jobbers will get an extra 60 SP to use. That speaks volumes on making some classes more powerful at a drastically faster rate. No 2ndary stat requirement anymore? Oh boy, time to buy all the Empress gear.

v.123 - Tempest: Into the Storm Update Highlights - Bomber - 2012-11-20

Why give us other stats to put AP in if there's no use for them? To trip up people so they pay for AP resets?

PHANTOM NERFS MAKES ME NOT HAPPY. Frown

I've been wondering if I should get all of my Empress gear for my Phantom ready before Tempest since Thieves are really popular at MSEA and it looks like prices may skyrocket once people don't have to go through hurdles to equip their Empress equips. I guess I'll monitor things over here to make a decision and keep selling so that I have a nice stockpile of mesos, shame I ran out of every Thief gear safe the one I'm using.

And you gain 4SP instead of 3? or still you gain 3SP per level?

My gut says prices will skyrocket since people can simply equip the best gear without having to meet 2ndary stat requirements. So get them now before other people start getting the same idea and horde.

Dark Zero Wrote:And you gain 4SP instead of 3? or still you gain 3SP per level?

From what I read it's still 3 SP/level, but you gain slightly more SP per job advancement, aka helping you jumpstart your new advancement skills sooner.

Why have accuracy exist as a stat (or exist as the bonus for my character card for that matter) when it provides absolutely nothing of value to my account?

I think that Nexon doesn't even know why it chooses to do a lot of things. Class A troll.

I don't think the prices will skyrocket because meeting the requirement wasn't that hard for a lot of players. Even if the majority couldn't meet the requirement, the equips really aren't hard to obtain.

Will the changes in boss agro make Empress/instructors harder to kill?

Most likely to be there as an alternative if you've already put 999 into your main stat. Secondary stat also increases your range, albeit only slightly.

Also, you'd be stupid not to just use Auto Assign, which just dumps everything into main stat after Tempest.

Auto assign dumps everything into your main stat post-Tempest? That's awesome. No more sitting here clicking for 10 minutes.

Might as well put the extra ap into hp or mp (depending on class) rather than a random secondary stat.

Well, prices here can't get that much higher seeing that some Thief Cygnus armors already go for close to a billion mesos or more. I'd say CrazyForDex; has the right idea, people who wanted it before could get it and there should be more downed instructors by that time too which means more armors in the market. Speaking of which, I'd just like to check if there's any kind of limitation to how many times you can defeat Cygnus in a week at GMS.

You can only kill Cygnus three times a week. You can kill instructors as many times as you have keys for.

I wonder how Nexon is going to deal with old characters that miss the Tempest patch (i.e. someone quit, then came back after the patch was over). Are they just going to be out a ton of AP stuck in secondary stat?

Thanks for clarifying! We all thought that was something implemented by the distributor but would have obviously known nothing about it as our first legit Cygnus defeat only happened on September this year. As for that...I honestly think they should have some way for returning players to not be screwed over as so much of the good items come from temporary events. A permanent coin shop is a good one, but in the case of AP they really should implement a one-time AP reset for free given that a lot of players don't have the cash for the CS AP resets and the amount you'd be spending for something Nexon should give is more than enough to get good gear.

CrazyForDex Wrote:Will the changes in boss agro make Empress/instructors harder to kill?

It'll make not dying to DR with more than one person easier. Otherwise it does nothing and the increase in ease is offset by the fact that empress and her summons don't get KB'd by damage anymore and only move by rushing skills.

I noticed that this afternoon too after I looked at Max's blog after I had seen the highlights.
For all we know, this might be an excuse so Nexon can do less of the events. Hopefully not though, because I need the set on 2 characters >.<

v.123 - Tempest: Into the Storm Update Highlights - Zerard - 2012-11-21

To everyone considering that we might be getting less events. Why would they? If anything, I'd be expecting more events to give coins, since it's getting close to Christmas (and since they did that with Legends).

Besides... I think there were only two events that gave out coins in (wait for 30 minutes, and dropping from monsters. That and the hot time if you really want to count that).
