With 2 hours notice? Frown
I'd trade my 3 luk ones for str ones in a heartbeat. My ticket was changed to In Progress so hopefully i get some kind of compensation or at least a response.

There's no cursed rate or notice of them blowing up items in their description for those bonus potential stamps/carvers.
Are those the same event ones from KMS and should we recommend trying them out on random stuff before using it on existing upgraded equipment?o-o

from what i was just told, the superior and advanced ones have 20/10% success rate, and have "nocursed=1" on them, while the other two (the ones that drop from monsters) don't have that.

AzureKite Wrote:It still uses Targa/Scarlion names. It's going to get replaced. There is no way Nexon will keep both because of the bosses and how similar it is. However, it might have just been copy-pasta'd in this patch. We'll have to see.
I still say it means nothing. Nothing says that two monsters that look the same can't exist. It's happened before and it can happen again. For all we know NEXON America could have changed the story and said Scarlion and Targa are borrowed from Malaysia or these are just proto-types or something. Or, just say the Maple world makes mirror copies of what exists in other worlds.

So the ones that drop from monsters will blow up your item?
Hoping Nexon will put up a notice or change the description for them that they will destroy your item upon failure. If not... well, we can see all the complaint threads for Nexon for not warning people about it.

ok, so some theorycrafting with maplearchive here.

these are all the carvers:

http://maplearchive.com/search-wp.php?search=potential%20slot%20carver

basic and intermediate supposedly drop from monsters, advanced ones from bosses, and superior from gacha armed robbery

basic=5% success
intermediate=10% success
advanced= 10% success
superior=20% success.

the last two have something that says "nocursed=1" which we both assume means that it won't boom, the first two lack it, so they most probably boom on failure. the rate of them all sucks pretty hard though.

then there's the CS ones:

Silver Potential Slot Carver 50%/25%
Gold Potential Slot Carver 80%/40%

they both also mention the "nocursed=1" they also seem to have two success rates, and are the only ones available that give the second potential line, so we're assumming that the first success rate is if you're adding the first line, and the second success chance is if you're adding a second line

if anyone has the kms post from orange mushroom (was spadow reporting at that point?) please put a link, since i think the last two worked the same way there)

If it makes you feel better, these are entirely different totems, so even if you did get any, they probably wouldn't be account tradeable.

They could always swap them I guess, but I doubt it. If they do, I'll feel really bad about not getting any totems for my DS though. So many warriors on my account.

I do hope indeed that there is no boom rate, I don't wanna lose my 20%'d Empress axe to something so silly as this Tongue

 kMS Cash Shop Notice for Slot Carvers

Left is Gold, Right is Silver
Orange lines on the bottom read something like:
1. First Additional Potential: 80%/50%
2. Second Additional Potential 40%/25%

GMS v118 - Potential update, Fantastic Themepark - Penngguin - 2012-09-25

Dem extra line potentials, Jesus. I just might go for Decent AB on my hat and another 60-100% boss or so on my weps, hopefully that will be all. Tongue
Must. Resist.

What about 0X1XXX's i.e. the skills? Are they still only regular potential available?

I really hope that means that they're either bringing back the event or extending it. I'm gonna be a pretty unhappy camper if I get permanently screwed out of the totems because I had enough foresight not to splurge on a character other than my Kaiser.

So none of the Carvers have a chance to blow up items, right?

I haven't seen anyone rage over the time traveler medal yet :o. Is it ANOTHER time traveler medal, or is there another explanation? (I don't mind really since I don't have one, but I can imagine ppl getting upset about it).
