My current highest level character is actually one of the first characters I made, which I consider my main.
I will, however, have other characters that I see as main characters.

My first character and my beloved Aslemn had a damn bad luck.
First, I was lv 56 by the time Amoria came in, and of course, if you guys have a good memory, it was THAT patch when Nexon joined Wizet; I was training at Sakura Cellion and Helios Tower by that time, boy, that was awesome.
But one day after a few weeks from that patch, I left my character at the Retz map for a while, and then I came back to start training again, some minutes after that, I just disconnected from the game. But instead of just closing the client, I got that Ad that comes up when you close the game; "Swing along with your monkey!" for the monkey pet, that caught my attention and I immediately wanted to log back in; when I tried, BOOM, permanent banned for god knows why.
I was in shock, tried to ask some friends, and heard MANY complaints of weird bans; that happened when the Autoban system was implemented, and was apparently banning too much people for random reasons; I got mad, sent them a ticket asking about it, and a week later I got the answer, it just made me go out of my nerves; they were even announcing on their website some pomegranate about "Behold! 30k hackers banned within a day!".
"I'm sorry to hear that this happened, but we've been analyzing these recent situations; and as a result, we'll be giving hackers, and other players who disrespected the rules a second chance, players will now have a suspension of one month on the first time they are caught, and if it's recurring, it'll become permanent" was the answer I got from that ticket; the biggest amount of pineappleing bullpomegranate I've read in my life.
Not only MANY legitimate players were wrongfully banned, but many also received such ticket telling them that they would have a second chance to pineappleing think about what they have done. My brothers tried to help me to start over, and I even created an account to avenge my loss (lol).
But still, I couldn't just keep going with all that pomegranate going on, I left GMS, and my brothers with shame of being accused the same way I felt in that response and aimed for help on JMS by December 2007 and promised myself not to ever come back, even when I was unbanned.
Stayed in there until last year, came back to my IL by Christmas or some events just to see my friends, or to "try out" contents like NLC. When my experience with JMS was done, and basically all my friends were away to live their lives on JMS, I came back to GMS and made another IL because I forgot the password for my old account and couldn't ask for the password as it was an e-mail from 2004.
Made many characters, got lv 24 empress blessing, and happened to have an epiphany of my password and was able to recover my IL. I now play in a different account, in a different main character because I didn't want to start over, and because I see this new account as an account just to play and have fun; while I keep the other one as a collection, as something that I log in sometimes just to look at it's inventory, build, stats and equipment just to remember the old times, just to have some fresh memories inside my head.
My main is just a character I use to play, to get levels and to play this "new game" on my spare time; while my beloved first character is kept as a pool of sweet memories and nostalgia.

Wasn't it the patch where the Nexon logo appeared next to the Wizet one in the Login Screen/ bottom of the page, etc.?
Well, that was what I heard from the day it came out all around my buddy / guild, and judging by such different behavior from that patch and beyond I did believe that was the case, guess I was wrong then; I'm sorry. :S

As a yes or no question, I'd say no. My original character was an i/l mage. I stuck with it for about two years and got it to 95. Afterwards, I realized how horrid our dps was and I really wanted to be a bosser, so I dropped the character entirely despite having enjoyed training, since it wasn't all I ever wanted to do (this was way before anyone though of nexon releasing a revamp to all classes to make them decent bossers).
I made a new character, got it to level 10 and left it there for the release of pirates, since they were about to come out. I made it a gunslinger. I stuck with it as my main since the day I made it. I made a nightwalker for the blessing, and an aran just to try it out since they looked cool (closest thing to a second main I've considered). Eventually, I stopped playing all together. When I came back, I restarted in Bera, leaving my aran and corsair in their original servers. I remade my corsair and it's still my main.
Part of me really wants to remake my i/l mage because they look fun to play again.

Where's the option of "I changed mains after I got to 200 on my previous one?" That's pretty much my story.
Got my pally to 200 after 5.5 years, changed it to DS when the class got released in GMS.

My first character was a STR mage. My 2nd was a LUK warrior. It took me a while until I realized what needed what. From there, I kept playing warriors and switched a bit but ended with a warrior main. Currently, my hero is 200 and my 2nd main, a paladin, is 190ish. Planning on moving onto my Aran after until Mihile comes out.

My first character was a Scanian str cleric. I quit for a while after realizing my mistake, but when I came back I made a Marksman and stuck with it. Got deleted at 176, so I made another one. Stayed with my second Marksman to 200, and played on that until Mercedes came out. My main is currently my Mercedes, but I'll eventually buy karmas and go back to my Marksman once I make a lot more money.

That's why I asked if your first 200 was your first main because most 200s move on to another character like that. The thread's about whether or not you'd stuck with your first character all the way to 200 or not, should have made that more clear.
Though I guess I should have added the option of your first 200 still being your current main (using your in the general sense here). :I

I decided never to main 1 character because I would get bored with it and retire it for good. I mix things up by filling up my toon slot and playing all my toons on that world and get them all to 200 so I can do the same thing on another server.
This goal of mine will never be reached because I always level like a snail *sorry bob, not you though, your awesome, where'd you go btw, maple misses u

Ah, alright. I was looking at the poll options and there was no "No, I have changed mains after my first 200.", but I guess option 3 can account for that. I'm bad at reading

I've been an Aran the whole time. I'm planning on dropping him on his ass when Kaiser comes out, though. Not really sure if there's an option for that or not.

MrTouchnGo is my third "main," but I've been on it for the majority of my "career" (not sure what to call it), and it was my first character to get above level 70.

Note: Wall-of-text-ish. Basically a slightly distilled version of my mapling history. I switch between classes a lot, so...yeah.
First character I ever made was on GMS, a Thief with "balanced" stats and a "versatile" skill build (i.e. had both Double Stab and Lucky Seven). Stopped at Lv13, and quit GMS due to the insanely long download duration for the patches (was using dial-up at that point, and I didn't live in the US so yeah...and by insanely long I mean upwards of 10 hours).
When MSEA started up, I remade said Thief armed with the knowledge of what stats and skill I should invest in. Made another Thief as well so that I could play both Bandit and Assassin...the "Bandit" was abandoned at Lv2x and the Assassin at 3x due to me having more fun playing a Cleric (which I quit at Lv47 because it got too hard to level up. The account got hacked anyway, so I could ditch it easily). Made a Warrior next with the intention of making a Page (coincidentally, her name included "paladin", despite 4th Job not having been announced yet), screwed up my HP by pumping points into attacks first and leaving Improved MaxHP Increase for last.
Anyway, I made a ton of characters after that (including an I/L Wizard which I quit at Lv56) but never actually got very far. Then the 4th World (Delphinus) opened up and I figured it was time for me to make a clean start in a new world since there was this event for a bandanna with a pretty nice allstat bonus. Remembering my failed Thieves and a very helpful Chief Bandit I met while grinding my Cleric, I decided to give Bandits another try (not wanting to conform to the norm though, I made a STR Bandit). It was practically love at first sight with Savage Blow. Anyway, the grind got way too much around Lv7x so I quit that as well, and due to some pressure from a friend I decided to head back to Aquila (said friend left for Bootes shortly after I returned...). Incidentally, that was when Pirates were released in MSEA, so I made TriggerYukii and kept on going despite the low damage and major grind. Grind got too much, quit around Lv55 and after playing around with some other classes eventually decided to make ANOTHER Bandit (LUK Bandit this time, since I now knew that STR didn't benefit them much), which is now a Shadower and my highest-leveled character.
But yeah, I still don't stick with my characters much; I constantly try out new classes and stuff. :x

My first character is still active, but I haven't been leveling her as much as my other characters. Everyone refers to me by my first character, so she is in a sense, my main. She had fruity stats and build, but that's been corrected in the 5 years I've had her. Now to get to lvl 200...

Technically, my first two characters were a Khaini Mage (that I ruined with balanced stats) and a Broan Bowman (that I ruined by choosing to play in Broa). My Marksman is the one I've been playing since about a month after Yellonde came out. Had too many fun times and met too many cool people to want to give up on it, it's one of those things that takes on a special meaning, like your first pokemon or your wife (I guess. I don't know.) Plus, it took this long to get to 200 anyway, I might as well enjoy it.

I've had multiple mains... they represent the periods of time in my Maple Life.
I could write my maple-autobiography about my first newbie characters, my warriors, and my pirates... but maybe another time ;p.

My first character was an I/L mage. Got around the 100s, then quit when I realized how weak mages were in the DPS department. Quit for a Crusader, because they were all about the damage, or something. Got tired of that and went back to the I/L. Got to 4th job, had a field day with Blizzard. I made it to around the 140s or so.
THEN, I quit that and made a Marksman. Loved it, got to 17x, was one of the top 10 (might have been 20) Marksman in Windia, good times. Fun class with decent damage and a good buff to give to parties.
THEEEN, came pirates. Corsair had all the perks of Marksman, interesting ranged class, ability to freeze, plus high DPS. It became my new main. It's still my main today, and has too much emotional attachment for me to have another true main. But I've made waaaay too many characters. If I stuck it out with Marksman, I could have been 200 back when it actually meant something. Oh well. The only other character I own that I'd ever consider "maining" at this point is my Battle Mage. God do I love those. So much that I tried to quit my corsair for him. Needless to say, that didn't last.

My first character was an I/L Mage. GEE I WONDER WHY. GUESS CAUSE THE CLASS IS SO COOL.
Anyway, that account got hacked, made a Page because I thought elemental advantages were good. I regretted back then that if I made a Fighter instead I'd be much higher level.
3rd main was an Assassin because they were the 'in' back then. I loved the damage and speed, but hated being squishy.
4th main was my Brawler, enjoyed the idea of fist fighting. Up to now he's my highest leveled, although I got sidetracked by Mechs. At the moment, I'm still deciding who to cap to 200 first. All my good gear is on my Mech, but with the Pirate revamp (at last) Buccs seem more powerful now.

My first main was actually an I/L as well, they're one of my favorites, but I really screwed up his stat allocation. So, he ended up deleted after I made my current main, my Evan.
I think I made my Evan very close to day one of the class's release, and I've stuck with him ever since. I'm quite fond of Mir, the plotline, and the attacks.
I've since remade my I/L though! Still very fun, but I miss Composition.
