If I would say what I want to say, it would be my last day on these forums.

I've never said my teeth are "rotting out of my mouth". I said I had tooth decay due to drinking too much soda. A normal person couldn't even notice this. I'm not quite sure what you got against me but considering you haven't posted your picture here, who are you to insult others? Neither have I and therefore you don't even know what I look like. So maybe you should change "Argues with morons" to "Moron who argues".

Wrong again.

aslemn Wrote:Well, you can't really be like that, man. There's no perfect person for you, someone without anything wrong. And if you keep trying to find someone like that, you gotta be alone for a very long time.
It sometimes work like this, you try to find the perfect girl for your whole life, and when you finally find it, who grants that she'll look at you in the same way?

And if she does, then you gotta be some lucky ass dude. You see a lot of couples that seem to be perfect to each other, but they aren't. Life's not about what i see a lot of girls in my class saying to each other, that they want a man that is lovely, mature, beautiful, nice, smart, and kind to her parents and that likes everything they do; there's no copy of yourself, or someone that fulfills all your wishes.

You just have to meet someone, that like EVERYONE else, has flaws and qualities, but that her qualities are enough to make her flaws look irrelevant. You can't erase those defects, nor ignore them or pretend they never existed, you just love her more than you hate her problems.

That's why so many relationships end, because once you are in one, you'll try to ignore all her problems, and if you don't fight back, after the effect goes away, those problems will be much bigger than they are.

I, actually, prefer to have female friends than girlfriends, because i'm not the kind of guy that texts her any and everytime with a lovely message, that says i love you about a thousand times, that can give priority to her over getting out with my friends, for calling her, or for living my life towards someone. If you want an advice, NEVER date a friend if you don't feel anything other than just friendship for her.

My last relationship was a complete piece of crap because of that and because of the other reasons i've said above. She expected me to be someone that i am not, she always came up with a different voice to me, saying i love you everytime, calling me and getting mad when i didn't answer her, when i didn't text her back. She once got mad because two weeks before, my brother's friends that are also mine, were asked to come over our house to play some Rock Band, i've told her about it, she wanted to go to the mall with me and i told her i couldn't, she said there was no problem, later, she came to me acting weird and not answering properly, and when asked, she said "I didn't like the fact they are more important than me".

I've broke up in that day exactly because of that, it's not that she was less important, but there's no reason i would cancel everything that i've planned since two weeks before, because in that morning, she wanted to do something different. I couldn't stand those things that she has done, how she acted, and specially how she DIDN'T know me, because expecting me to change into another person was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

TL; DR That's it. You won't find someone that is perfect to you and that has no flaws, you have to find someone that completes you, and that has enough qualities to make her flaws smaller than what you feel for her. If you want a perfect girl in just the appearences, then you aren't looking for a girlfriend. And if you can't get in a relationship, or just don't want one of those, like me, you can just have your female friends.

I prefer to have them for many reasons, for the fact that i'm not obligated to act differently, that i just need to be who i am to them.
And man, having them as your friends doesn't mean you can't have something with them, you can date them without being in a relationship, anything, you just need to find someone that also wants that, and it's not as hard as finding someone perfect. You can just have anything you want, just don't judge them so early like that.

But if you really want to have a relationship, then judging the others with so much criteria is not going to lead you anywhere.

When I said I like slim(but not bony) and feminine (but this more of a personality thing) girls with brown/black eyes and hair I doubt that really is the definition of a "perfect girl". Like someone here said, if I moved to an another country there would be tons of people to fit my criteria, no? Say East Asia, South Europe etc. And I wouldn't date with a visually "perfect" woman who's crap from the inside. Personality IS my top priority, I'm just picky on the cover as well.

Blake Wrote:Oh, and brush your god damn teeth.
I do, twise a day. I also use dental floss, moutwash and xylitol after eating. Like I said, don't believe what Sarah says I've said, she really hates me for some reason and tries to find the stupidest reasons to mock or provoke me for.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - Blake - 2011-12-01

I'm 21 and single by choice. I've had to turn down a couple guys in the past couple months because I want to establish myself a bit more first(and to be honest, am learning to recognize a bad fit for myself when I see it from prior dating experience). You sound like you need a new perspective though(and maybe some therapy). A partner is not supposed to hold you up like a crutch; they're supposed to complement you.

Also, not wanting to sleep with an ugly person is normal. You like what you like, but just because someone doesn't have the attributes you described does not make them ugly nor does it make them unattractive. I wouldn't sleep with someone I didn't want to, and I typically only sleep with guys that are at least five years older and bigger built than myself, but I of course make exceptions.

Oh, and brush your god damn teeth.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - Five Second Pose - 2011-12-01

There's a huge difference between physical attraction, emotional attraction, both, and love. Once you learn this you won't go solely for looks.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - Seanny - 2011-12-01

I dunno, there has been girls i found unattractive... but after i was their friend for a while... my brain put wool over my eyes due to the emotional attraction and i honestly did not find them that bad-looking after a while. Maybe this doesn't apply to everyone, but have you really been taking time to talk to and be around some of these other female friends of yours/ pay attention to them?

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - KhainiWest - 2011-12-01

Ya know, I'm surprised I didn't ask this earlier but why do you want one? Is it a social image issue? A need to try out sex? Both are pretty...well you'll be dissapointed. I mean good relationships, rather, fun ones, are with friends, not with flings, and sex is overated.

It's something that comes to you, not something you look for. And by come to you I don't mean wait for a girl to ask you out, but an interest will perk up, if one doesn't, don't force it.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - Scaeva - 2011-12-01

I'd say you should wait a little longer. I'm 18 and I've started my second year of college a few months ago, and I changed a lot over the past year. I think a lot of people experience something like this, so maybe things will get better for you after going through some changes. Around this age you'll still be defining who you really are. Chances are you don't even know what you're really looking for in someone else right now.

Either way, try meeting as many different people as possible. The more people you meet the higher the chance that you meet someone you like and who might like you back.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - Manu - 2011-12-01

Something similar happens to me, I'm 19, never had a girlfriend. I think that one of the reasons is that I'm an expert in getting friendzoned, with the last 3 girls that I really really liked it happened, we became friends and then if I tried to make a move it'd be weird, and on the occasions I did they said we were friends and they liked it. I have high standards too though, I don't look for the "exotic" model or anything though, I just want a girl who looks cute, if it weren't because of this I'd probably have a girlfriend right now, because a girl told me she liked me but I didn't like her back, and I must say that at least 70% of that denial was because of her looks, and the rest was because she turned into me and got herself friendzoned.

Well you are not supposed to hook up with the first girls who turns your way. In my case there's this French girl that was recently rejected from her circle of friends here, now she's suddenly getting close to me and clearly looking for more than just friendship. However, she smells bad and she only started talking to me once she was rejected by her friends, meaning she had no original interest in me. We also have nothing in common.
The best that will happen will be a hit'n'run this Saturday, but I might end up turning to another girl I've recently got interested in (one that actually doesn't smell).

Anyways Satellite you might as well look at yourself. Do you deserve a hot chick that's cute and awesome (aka are YOU hot and cute and awesome?)

BTW we're all throwing daggers at you because we're all nerdy virgins that play video games that would kill for a chance for a girl to ask us out, no matter really how pretty they are.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - VirgilDiablo - 2011-12-03

confidence man. i know it doesn't make sense, but motherfuckin' confidence. i'm a chubby guy, i'm kinda good looking, but not a whole lot. but honestly, it's not often that i'm like "damn. that girl's out of my league". and like i said, i'm not some sexy dude, and i'm not a smooth talkin' motherfucker either. i'm just confident. i hate to use the word "swagger" but that's really all it is. figure out what it is a girl would like about you, and play off that. and just be confident.

Too shallow to get a girlfriend? - Haseo - 2011-12-03

I'm already 18 and I don't have a girlfriend either. But then that may be because of the awful stigma that the older generation (teachers) impose on us about how having relationships when schooling is bad. Or maybe it's the generally conservative nature of our society here.

Since I've never had a girlfriend before, my advice probably doesn't matter much... but I'd tell you to keep a lookout for potential candidates. Just keep a lookout. Lamenting not knowing them won't work. At least you know that she exists (if you one day gather enough confidence to ask her out) you'll know what to do. And try to rack up confidence as you go along, that'll help. Talk to them, get to know them. Pretty girls aren't ridiculously difficult to get to know.

Let's just remember that we were all virgins at some point and while it is overrated, sex is still pretty good as long as you enjoy whoever you are having it with.... I think you should all go watch the video, I Just Had Sex by the Lonely Island

Physical attraction is both subjective and necessary for a healthy relationship. That said, looks will be the first thing to go in your life.

Blind yourself and be happy.

This. Also, Corn, I think the real issue here is also you saying "that would kill for a chance for a girl to ask us out." Here's a concept: grow a pair and do the asking. You might be surprised. Like VirgilDiablo said, it's all about confidence. All this being said it's definitely easier said than done, and I know I myself have had to build up the confidence on more than one occasion, but the result has always left me feeling better, even if it ends in rejection.

But the true key for holistic, honest confidence? Be happy and proud to be you. Sure, you may have some reasonable things you'd like to change about yourself (ex. not plastic surgery, but, using myself as an example, wanting to be more fit and toned, and at a deeper level, truly expressing myself when I feel and want to 100% of the time instead of just most of the time), but in the end find the joy in being you and everything will fall into place.

Speak for yourself. There are plenty here who have had relationships and had a girl ask them out.

Satellite, the way you come across, while direct, also gives an impression that you are too good for the people you are around. Maybe it is that attitude that is giving you a problem in finding someone. That or be realistic in your expectations.

Also, the way you talk about girls is a little scary. They need to act like women is pretty out dated thinking and it shows a fair amount of disrespect for the opposite gender.

Sleeping with a girl would be nothing like sleeping with a man for you. The man would be penetrating you anus. Think that a over a couple times before saying that an ugly girl would be just like a guy.

If you really want to date a girl like the ones you described, start working out and eating healthy. It will improve your complexion and give you some muscle. Find a group that does public speaking and join it. It will give you confidence to be in debate or something similar. Maybe a tan would help you as well, since you seem to like girls tanned. That will also help with your complexion.
