The activeness of this thread has nothing to do with the point PETA is trying to get across, just in case you hadn't noticed, everyone on southperry likes to point out when people are being idiots (or worse) and PETA is just such an easy target for abusing, who can blame everyone for laughing at them?

The thing about PETA is that anyone who would like PETA is already a part of their bullshit. Everyone else thinks they're morons/extremists/hilariously stupid (different from morons because people make fun of them instead of just hating). So anything they do isn't changing the minds of the masses.

Best case scenario for them is that they'll traumatize a 12 year old boy who will never look at porn or meat again.

But in all seriousness, PETA is beyond a joke in its attention-grabbing tactics. Watching porn is not gonna make me stop eating meat, thats just dumb. The nudity was bad enough since it was a cheap tactic, this is just ridiculous.

Especially if you have to pay for it.

I think it's more of a shock and awe tactic, but frankly I don't get how hardcore pornography connects with the idea of being vegetarian and not hurting animals. Since pornography is so widely available on the net, I can't see this particular website being used that much. Still, this will get people talking about PETA and what they stand for, no matter how ridiculous the tactic. Since I read that article 3 hours ago, I have already had 4 different conversations with people about this topic. Either way, I hope PETA continues producing ads with hot models because dam...
