You're putting blame and lack of care towards the person and their feelings. Apathy won't help, thus it's somewhat like flamebaiting. Unnecessary in this situation along with the replies regarding it too. Doesn't mean you're perfect in this situation either.

My only point is that there are hundreds of other possibilities to this update, not just the ring.

Maybe now people will be more aware of the fact that just because an event happens in one version doesn't mean that we'll get it as well.

My "apathy" is mere reasoning: This update has much more to offer than a ten attack ring.

You're anger is unnecessary, as it could have been avoided; it's like making plans for something and then those plans falling through. It happens, but it isn't the end of the world.

Me, and many others are quite upset that the most valuable ring (and one of the most valuable ITEMS) in the game is now going to be immensely and tremendously harder to get, and more expensive to get. In addition to that, some people spent large sums of in game currency in preparation of this event. While it's true that there was never a direct NexonAM announcement that they would hold this event, it doesn't take a large cognitive leap to assume that since NexonAM copies basically everything from NexonKR, we would get this event.
