Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - Punch - 2011-06-21 Watch this happen.. Nexon says they're gonna step up their game. Hackers believe them, and step up their game. Nexon lies, and does nothing. Hackers have now improved. Maplers suffer. Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - Secun - 2011-06-21 Punch Wrote:Maplers suffer. But this is already happening, which is why I don't play anymore. Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - Takebacker - 2011-06-21 Hackers constantly step up their game regardless of actions taken against them. @ above: I don't suffer, which is why i'm still playing. Either something weird pops up and i log off/don't take part, or i'm off the game while something happens anyway. Regardless, hackers recently haven't affected me at all. (except maybe MW 30, but that's not really the same) Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - Chicocl - 2011-06-21 This is just a normal politician's speech. Where they say "we will fix it in a long very loooong term but until you're waitting for that why don't Buy NX Nao", this is just a false promise until i see some improvement. Just check the long story we have with them and you'll notice that they never do nothing or when they do something they screw up even more, when there is a solution that a good amount of players can think (no-basilers). If they actually meant it, they would also increase GM activity in-game, while automated tools are being developed. Patrol the game, make sure any hacker doing their thing in broad daylight in the well-known maps doesn't last. Don't know where those maps are? Here's an idea: when a player reports a hacker, record the map id. Don't wait until X reports against a single ign to start investigating, but rather X reports against the map. Also, those long lists of perma-bans? Split them by ban reason. Show us you're not just banning FM spambots, but also actual hackers. All this notice is doing is trying to buy time, to quiet us down. "We're working on it, so stop whining." Bah. Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - RIPGobies - 2011-06-21 Nexon can start by banning based on string detection, that will get rid of most of the major hacking in game. Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - ShinkuDragon - 2011-06-21 SaptaZapta Wrote:Indeed. the moment they start doing that, the moment they'll lose all their credibility. if that's even possible. Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - Chilly - 2011-06-21 Sapta! You ninja! No more walls of texts for you to prey upon me with. I'll reuse my made-up word from another Announcement thread: This is pandertastic, slapping together sincere and upbeat words and making vague relatively unverifiable promises. Do you know what would really help your problem Nexon? Do you know what really would be one of the very best hack detection tools you could use? People. Sure, programs can help in a general manner, but let's just start off with one, just one dedicated or even semi-dedicated individual to patrol the hotspots. Anyone could perform a sweep and net tens if not hundreds of hackers, you just have to, I don't know, put forth effort? Also, how about take tickets seriously, I submit 5 hackers a week minimum because I feel like it's my duty to do so. I don't submit more because I don't think a 6 and 110ish minimum record means I should spend anymore time than I do. This MWLB or whatever arrangement of letters correspond to your seemingly defunct band of GM Jr.'s should be replaced with a "trusted" group of reporters. This goes along with my "people" as the ultimate hacker detection tool, we really want to help; help us, help you. Negative rant over. I'm glad they've acknowledged something we've known for years. I don't think many people were happy with the way the situation was being handled in the first place. Here's to a more pleasant tomorrow. Addressing Serious Hacking Issues - 0^2 - 2011-06-21 SaptaZapta Wrote:Indeed. Exactly my thought on this "State of the Game" address. @RIPGobies That would be a glorious day when only true hackers could effect the game and not just a bunch of fools with scripts.

Hackers/glitch abusers rarely consider themselves illegit. If you're knowingly doing it then you are just as at fault as they are.
