The only thing I get mildly annoyed at are the archers that leech newties from 80 to 120 because they are too lazy to grind some out at Aqua Dungeon. It's like, train your character a little bit peach, maybe you'll learn how to play it.

Yeah, everyone that actually knows how to play their Archer gets annoyed by that, it isn't merely a mild case for everyone though. They're not only demonstrating their selfishness by training there at ridiculous levels where they can't leech, they also lose out on many of the experiences that would make them better players and improve their enjoyment of the game. Quite disgusting seeing some of them trying to train at Skeles.

That I will never understand. I'd get bored out of my skull going to Newties that early and not being able to leech. Gobi partying is possibly the one of the funnest things I have ever done in this game and anyone who doesn't do it is seriously missing out.

Oh I know Gobi's used to have a lot of drama back when they were a contending training spot, I wouldn't want to deal with that again. The way things are now though I can get a Gobi channel even during the server wide 2x experience events no problem.

Statistically, there is no bandwagon.

According to the rankings, about 10% of the level 30+ population consists of bowmen - just like last year.

For the bowmen: Has the bandwagon affected you? - Kevvl - 2008-07-13

Less than last year

I haven't tried newties personally... and i haven't been to gobis yet... I an a terrible training partner in parties (I kill at my ow pace, regardless of how fast everyone else is killing <<<-- not good for parties xD)

I haven't seen an overabundance of archers though... I rarely see one over 100 unless it's 2x exp xD

-hopes o have empty training mapss so that he can get to 100 without distractions-

Hrm my character's creation date is 11/02/2006, although I never got it past level 20 until recently because yes, I did like sharp eyes, hurricane and 90% mastery sounded hot to me being a hermit at the time 4th job was released. Crap, I liked everything about bowmen pre-4th job except the solo training. 4th job changed that so I actually played it aiming for 120.

I ask though, does this make me a bandwagonner? I leveled my archer because I liked what there was in the later levels..Not because everyone else was making one.

I for one think the recent increase in archers can be blamed on cpq and lmpq. Levels 30-70 were considered difficult for archers before these pqs were out. Now they're as easy as any other class.

For the bowmen: Has the bandwagon affected you? - PieM4ster - 2008-07-14

Bandwagon? Really? I recently came back as an archer because its the only class I haven't gotten past 30. I don't really see other archers in all the noob training areas. Since I've been back, I've seen a total of about 4 archers. I play on Broa, so I wouldn't know if the "Bandwagon" is really bad on other servers.

Seems like an overreaction to me.

Check my Link. There are less archers in comparison to other classes than last year.

What % of them are active? I can't mathematically prove anything but it sure as hell seems like the % of active archers has increased.

For the bowmen: Has the bandwagon affected you? - BMW - 2008-07-16

I've been a Bowman since April 2006. The only thing that affected me was the increase in bow scroll/bow prices.

I just checked the rankings, I can't tell active from that without indepth analysis of every single Bowman's increase in %.

I'll get on that tomorr-
Never...I have alot of time on my hands, but not that much.

I can easily blame Scroll prices on simple inflation (Claw 30% is 3* as much as it was Pre-Inflation, Bow 30% is about 3* as well)
You may see more Bowmen because there are more Bowmen*
*but also more of every other class in general.

The bandwagon has affected me slightly. Whenever I see new bowmen, they clad as a dexless sin would now. Bandana, sauna robe, etc. I remember when everyone would be happy just to be out into level 50 for a kismet in stuff.

Bows and scrolls are also skyrocketing in price. Rolleyes

I dont think that's the issue. I think the issue is that there is an increase in FUNDED bow masters. No statistic can prove that other than looking around and seeing and having many people tell me they fund/leech their archers with bishops, arch mages, etc.

This has never happened before to my knowledge and that's where the bandwagon lies. No statistic can support or refute that imo but that's just me.

around 2 months before 4th job was starting to be tested, I really wanted to just wear an arund and use arrow rain so I started an archer, I was lvling and stuff ..slowly cus I Was getting funds and lvling at the same time and I had got hacked 2 weeks before so i was dead broke other then a few danas my buddies were borrowing

and then on Basil * a few months later * I started seeing how many people were jumping in circles to make an archer for their 1337ness and all
soo i said w.e and kept lvling around at lvl 40 ( i was doing maybe a lvl every 2 weeks was busy with exams ) I kept seeing more and more archers EVERYWHERE! and eventualy After I Saw them flooding I perma Quit my hunter RebornSavior..now just to be a fm mule..forevermore

For the bowmen: Has the bandwagon affected you? - Celsious - 2008-07-18

I just hate how everyone refers to me as SE mule. Quite frankly, I'm who I am, no matter my job class. People shouldn't treat me differently because I can benefit them better.
