Or don't talk to people, and give them cold glances if they approach you. If they still try to talk to you, end the conversation as fast as possible. Having headphones on almost 24/7 while in public helps keep people away from you. If they get close and aren't within your direct line of sight, you an always just ignore them and pretend you don't know they're there.
