i swear i've read somewhere that before they open the servers to the public, they in game themselves for errors. I guess shops weren't on the list.

It is when the entire "misunderstanding" could have been cleared up by using the quote button in the first place. Not that it would stop us from responding to it.

On topic; Why the lack of updates? I figured it doesn't take long to "turn off" the "malicious" glitch that was unintended by just making potions go back to regular price. Unless the delay would have to be the decision of a rollback or not. Was the glitch really that bad for it to be rollback-needed?

I'd say it was pretty malicious. I read something where a person who had bought 4800 Sunset Dews in a minute's time and resold them each time would gain 12m in profit. Since this was doable every minute, in over an hour's time of doing this, he'd have generated roughly 720m mesos. The servers have been up since 6am EST this morning and didn't go down until almost 1pm EST. That's seven hours. Had that person been doing this for those 7 hours, that's 5.04 billion mesos generated, and that's just from one person, too. With the amount of people doing this constantly, yeah, the economy's broken (moreso than it already is). Doing a rollback would be better than not doing one, especially considering this exploit can be done by "legits" anyway.

lol...it is always something after an sc. They wouldnt know how to get it right the first time if it came up and smacked them in the face. Oh well, just as a side note, I still have yet to get an actual response regarding my hacked account well over a year ago now. This is how nexon does business.

According to the dev blog on server maintenances, what takes the most amount of time is shutting down all of the servers and making sure everything is lining up correctly.
So its not as simple as 'just turning it off.'
And agreed with above. Nexon can't catch everything when servers go online.

Wow what did I miss? A self-Nexon'd meso bug? I forsee another 2x event incoming to make up for it. On a more serious note, I hope they could track the people who made money off this, and simply delete all the bugged mesos.
