Arans not being released, Cygnus coming BEFORE pirates, something called Hairstyle Madness was mentioned, but the first hero class release was completely forgot.
God, i knew Nexon's judging skills were bad by other contests, but this one is a new record.
I know. I see all the Pirates, "Cynus", Evan and Resistance. Where's the Aran love in all this? Plus the first prize looks too "hene-ho"ey. I don't like "hene-ho"ey.

It's just a lot of in-game pictures + bannedstory images in white boxes, with subtitles. No art involved.
Also, the fact the images are in DIFFERENT quality. It changes from PNG to JPEG quality that the difference between those is just too obvious. Seriously, that doesn't deserve to be in the Top 4, much less being in first place.
You can notice that if you look at those images, some have cut-off IGN's and bad quality due to JPEG format, while the others have no background, and no IGN's with a better quality.

Yeah, that's probably another thing I hated about the first place one, though it could just be the fact that I can't stand that "Sweetness" face. :|
I'll actually enter in their next contest, if possible, and see what horrid entries get chosen over mine or other better artists again.

2nd place does have something to do with maple when we have the 4th of july events. Those who only see a snail in the corner dont get it. What is the main event in july? Answer:4th of july! What do a majority of people do on 4th of july? Answer:Watch fireworks! The snail is watching the fireworks. Nexon asked people to create a calende theme base on the month
How do any of you expect maplers that dont know upcoming content for that month to sumbit a calender idea related to maple?
The calender entries were suppose to have a theme that was related to events in that month, and in July we have 4th of july which included fireworks.

Yes, fireworks can be related to New Year, or even 4th of July, but what people are criticizing mostly is the fact THAT got chosen, the image isn't very clear, the effect on the fireworks are poor, overall it doesn't look good. And the fact third and fourth are MUCH better than it and the first.
We're thinking, it's not that hard to see that fireworks can refer to a holiday, but the fact is that it just looks a lot bad. Enough not to get even close to the second place.

Here is the thing do we know what other entries were submitted? Some may have miss the whole guidelines nexon were looking for. Yes it may have been better but if it dint fit the criteria that was set it might have have been disqualified.

Third and forth are drawn better but doesn't the third one fall in to the typical maple submitting drawings?

More likely answer: Nexon's judges didn't understand the link between the month and event that was portrayed in most of the pictures.

Submitted the pic on feb. 8th, waited until tonight to finish the lion by the 18th but logged on to find
that nexon already chose the winners.

Maybe but just now I was thinking of it, they get what lets say 1000 entries with how they say that their always busy and that their short on personnel maybe they pick 250 and then choose the winners from those, of course their more and its likely that ~70% of the entries are way worse than what they pick as winners.
