Nobody in their right mind would even think that nexon would actually fix anything. I mean come on, this is a company with virtually no customer support. I guess cause they dont believe in it. But keep giving them money cause thats all they care about.

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - Zenkat - 2011-01-21

I just hate how my priorities are never the same as Nexon's priorities. All i care about is banning hackers, and stopping exploits. Nexon only cares when it's game-breaking. 1000 Wild Hunter Hackers in Bera? Eh, we'll figure out a way to stop the packet editing eventually. Meanwhile, let's write a glowing blog about how awesome we are.

March or April for all this
May for Anniversary
July for Chaos...?

I am disappoint.

Nexon giving less work to hackers to update their hacks, gj nexon...

SwordStaker Wrote:This actually makes tons of sense. I actually like it. I would rather have HUGE patches with TONS of crap to do instead of being pressed for time on what to do and not to do. Plus now it actually makes sense why Masteria was stopped being developed. Being pressed for time for a patch WOULD make it hard to make content. I feel like this will be success allowing more time for things to be fixed and less to be broken. Kudos NEXON!

Huge patches with tons of crap to do? You mean like this one, where if you don't want to make a mechanic, you pretty much have nothing to do for 3 months?
Also, how are you not pressed for time? Events still run just a few weeks each, if you want to get the corsage medal or the mardi-gras masks, you have to scramble just as much as you would have it they'd been released separately.

I don't mind not getting big content every patch, I agree good content takes time. But I would like to see bug fixes (and exploit/hack blocks) every month. And you know what? I'd kinda prefer it if events were more of a surprise. Knowing today that all we get in March is the same beads and masks we had before... really means I have no reason to check into maple until the next patch is announced.

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - CarrionCrow - 2011-01-21

I must say, this less patch policy deeply troubles me for reasons already brough up by others. If they make small hot fix patches that twart hacking and fix bugs in between the content patches, fine, but if not this will be disastrous.

On one hand, the Spring Update will be awesome.
On the other hand, the Spring Update will have a 50 hour maintenance. (Nexon wouldn't be able to do it on time, even with 3 months preparation)

On one hand, less bugs added with every patch.
On the other hand, less bug fixes because they will save them until the Spring Update.

I'm not very happy about this, knowing i have to wait until March for an update... but i'm holding out hope that with a little more time, Nexon MIGHT be able to do things properly.

Daku Wrote:Instead, we're now spending two or three months doing nothing.

No? They're going to release two or three months of content at once.

Jamie_Kurosawa Wrote:That last line is extremely disturbing to read. I seriously hope that is a type-o, because that could mean only one thing... they nerfed Lionheart castle... I'm now curious as why it's being called Lion King's Castle.

We have three months to wait for it I guess... until then, keep fingers, toes, eyes, and whatever else you can, crossed because we all know how Nexon likes to pull the rug out from under us... (points harshly at Neo-City)

As for the lack of content... wow... what an excuse... either they lack teamwork or personnel in numbers for this to be brought up... I would strangely feel like it's both plus incompetence somewhere mixed in...

And another thing about the 3 to 4 month wait... yeah... I don't see this being possible as we all know how fast the hackers work nowadays. Last time they did this, by the end of month two the hackers were everywhere and unstoppable.

Go to where nexon has Job postings, they're looking for a LOT of people to work for them.

Like Body Boost requisites? Rolleyes

IRM, WH summoning any monster in fm/any maps, HT glitch, CHT glitch, gold/silver boxes still not dropping?, d/c hacks.

theres so many bugs/exploits/hacks nexon didnt fix with mech patch, and they will stay ingame till spring....

Giving us a patch every 3months will just give more time to hackers make/find more hacks/exploits to ruin the game even more.

Lvl 70+ Raid is an addition to LHC that allows 70+ players to gather in a room and fight a turtle boss. Time Limit is 20 minutes and his HP is rather high, so a party of 70+ is not enough. I'd say 3-4 130's could kill with the time limit.
You get randomly invited (I think once a day) during a full hour, e.g 15:00, and get sent to a special map by a Npc.
So no worries, no LHC nerf oO

Is he troll'n?

OT: Meh I made my mech I am happy. I don't really care if we have to wait three months for another patch. I am not looking forward to any of this stuff. LKC(Lion King Castle), I will never get a charecter that high in lvl. UA, Dont have a lvl 120 CK. Guild revamp, Meh not in a guild and not planing on makeing one.

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - Ryukiroku - 2011-01-21

*Wishes guild revamps and LHC would come a bit sooner*

The events are good in the meantime though... I just want to be able to level my main efficiently again.

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - Satellite - 2011-01-21

I have to agree with Rayquaza.

They didn't make this cause they need more time to get done with updates and fix bugs. Opposite. They wanted to take a break, instead of having filler patches. Well, we will still have filler events.

I understand this and seeing that we'll get Chaos in Summer, I'm not complaining. But I REALLY REALLY wanted my LHC next month D: The problem should be clear enough-> High levels don't train faster after BB, slower actually.

It's not even the EXP that makes LHC so awesome, but the way it makes use for social training and good dmg.

Derosis Wrote:Go to where nexon has Job postings, they're looking for a LOT of people to work for them.

I'd work for nexon if they didnt require a billion things to be able to be applicable for the job. I could be the voice of the community.

OT: eh just seems like longertime to be bored with the current updates till they bring round another.

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - maplefreak26 - 2011-01-21

After reading this, I feel Chaos has been pushed back to November/December 2011

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - iamflip - 2011-01-21

This... is an interesting move from NexonNA, although it doesn't interfere with my belief that Chaos will still be out during the summer.

It's a double edged sword: We don't get new content every month thus making things boring as the days progress, but the time allotted to develop new GMS content and take care of everything else from KMS in one whole big patch could very well be worth it. And I think since most people are at school (or should be at school lolo), it probably will make sense for Nexon to patch a huge one when people have spring break or something to have the time to play.

This could also be an opportune time for a bit of Tespia to test upcoming stuff as they implement it. I mean... with all of that time to develop and integrate something between now and spring, doesn't it make sense if they opened up Tespia again?

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - -Ghost- - 2011-01-21

Meh, this is no different than the 5months+ of filler we had at the second half of last year before we got Big Bang.

Dev Blog: Welcome to 2011! - Takebacker - 2011-01-21

F'UCK YOU I WANT LION HEART CASTLE. NONE OF THIS SPRING BULLS'HIT.
