Introducing eTracer - Roxas - 2010-10-28
Christ, you people are the worst. You complain all you want about Nexon, but when they try to actually take steps to fix stuff, you still complain.

I've crashed a few times and have yet to see eTracer. Do only certain things trigger it?
Apparently most of the problems players face don't fall under the requirements to activate eTracer.

Finally saw eTracer pop up.
Some kind of lag or keyboard lock caused the client to terminate with a "system time changed due to speed hack, send info to AhnLabs" message - and then instead of the Ahn Report window I got the eTracer one. Whoopee.
If it only comes up when HackShield kills the client, it's utterly useless.

Never had Hackshield kill my client, ever. The only time I ever saw it do anything was when I tried starting MS with compatibility mode.

When you attempt to fix something, but it actually isn't there wouldn't you complain too? No one is really complaining per se, they're just stating the fact that the eTracer just doesn't work as it should.

When this first came out, yet nobody knew that it was pretty useless, people were saying that nexon wouldn't look at the results anyways and it was pointless and whatnot. Why should Nexon even try to please their community if all we do is whine, even when they try to do something right?

And they call Basil the joke of MapleStory fan sites...seriously this is where most of the complainers of MS hang out...At least on Basil people you know actually talk about MS and have some legit discussions and then there's probably in the area of about 30-40% of the kids here don't even play MS or so they claim yet they still complain about game they aren't playing.

I had an error on tuesday
I went to KCS (Kerning City Subway) and killed Wraiths..found the npc in the middle..clicked it, killed shade..and looted the etc drop cap and used town scroll.
The next time I went to Subway maps, I was instantly dc-ed and that e-tracer thing actually popped up.
I had that thing going for my DK for a full day, and while I was at it, I figured you can't use alot of things in that log report lol
Like comma's, quotations, (greater / less than symbols) and a few others. And I can probably write a huge paragraph about it here but lol, that's gonna bore ppl, so back on topic.
Upon random DC's, the pop-up of e-tracer just wouldn't pop up..
I'm not sure what triggers it, but I can tell you it does exist and may / may not be helpful.
To me, I would say helpful, as my DK is now fine..after a day.
edit : Ah, I remember now, the error was "Reached end of file" with some negative # error code

Is your system language codec set to korean? Might be why if that's the case.

Its set to English. Everything i see is english, except for some popups from Maple for HS and this eTracer.

All basil does is act like damn scapegoats with the same threads of babies going on about crap and half of them don't know what they're saying or act like they know nothing about the simplest things maplestory has...And most of the community here seem to be legal adults, unlike me and you. Most of basil consists of 8-12 year olds. They ARE a joke.

Put it this way, they could've done a lot more to fix things, yet they decided not to, and instead introducing this, which is...... almost analogous to the ticketing system. Problem is they couldnt give a damn about submitted tickets, so would they care about these information? Or is this just another "we are trying to fix things" ploy?
What to note here is that many has already reported problems, and surely, if they get a test team of 5 people, setting up the appropriate OS etc, get them to play the game, they'd probably get more out of it than putting an empty promise into the client. This is what I deemed as trying.
Also, its funny how most people reported that eTracer didnt pop up for them. Gotta wonder if they tested this before releasing their clients. Empty promises are empty.
