If so, any ranged character will easily tank and kill it without fear of being run over by it. That's assuming Nexon will only copy, paste, and translate all the KMS BB data into GMS while not adjusting any other content this patch doesn't touch.

1200 + 0 Goggleemoticon

Now Bigfoot is deadlier than before. Glitter

Assuming there isn't a formula created that will adjust all mobs stats that aren't KMS made to fit with the new system.

WHAT?

GMS will probably have to have parts of Big Bang written from scratch to work with everything we have especially regarding Masteria. If anything they'll break it up into at least 4 patches.

The first will probably be the reworked skills and other class specific features. This will be the easiest obviously to do. I'm hoping this will incorporate the much needed fix for Vista and 7.

The second will probably bring the Resistance classes. Again easy.

The third will probably incorporate the new EXP curve. This will probably let everyone get a good jump on the leveling before the most radical changes come, unless it's rolled in with...

The last will probably be the patch that will have to the longest to get out obviously, the reworked monsters, maps, etc. Remember we have Masteria which is a GMS exclusive and we will still have areas KMS phased out still like Zipangu.

Which is what I think that localization dev post was trying to get at.

It is not like they can just give us the revamp of skills and leave everything else. I would rip through bigfoot in seconds rather than minutes, one hit oblivion chief guardians at a 100% rate and be generally untouchanble with my 999 avoid combined with the upgraded shadowshifter. No, that wont work.

I wouldn't be surprised if Masteria is headed toward where monster book went...

Monster Book is still there.

I meant a formula created by KMS because they obviously know that monsters that aren't in their version exist.

Has anyone confirmed the date of Part one of big bang?

No one knows except nexon.

For my part, without upgrading weapon, I'll be doing BF in about a minute and a half (230-250k per Blast - currently lol impossible) and if I get a decent 1h sword+shield setup I could most likely put it down to 1 minute.

That's what I was thinking would happen, actually. All the mobs in KMS have very formulaic stats based on level and type of monster (regular mob, area boss, theme dungeon regular mob, etc). I don't see why they couldn't just apply that here.

I'm actually hoping Nexon does something unexpected for Big Bang and if they do it might be more helpful than harmful as things always turn out...

Nexon really needs to do a fresh full rewrite from scratch of the full MapleStory source code. No more cut, copy, and paste. We've all seen what C.C.P. can do to Maple (since Magatia came out) and it's just horrible. Import code my butt. They need to get code samples and take anything that they want to import in and rewrite it regardless of what level of work needs to be done. That's called quality assurance, something Nexon seems to lack as of recent. Even the best freelance coders will tell you, if you import anything from one project, no matter how similar, always rewrite it to make sure.

Of course.., that getting done, and Nexon having any sense of Q.A. is absurd.

Why not carbon copy KMS and add GMS specific content onto it? Never understood why there were architectural differences (if any) between international versions. What if Microsoft decided to release a slightly different, mutually incompatible version of Windows for every corner of the globe? Total chaos. The only thing that needs to be changed is the language :f6: plus it will be one step closer to a global network

I agree with u completely on this because if they are just going to copy and paste why not just not just have one site to promote all. And on top of that the same people owns both kms and gms so whats all this talk about different things and gms catching up to kms i think think they should just have one site for all. Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad

I have a question about the actual skillpoints themselves. BB reworked skills for mages at least, make our most used skill really terrible, and force us to rely on other skills. Are we going to have to pay to reset all those skillpoints??? I will quit my mage forever if nexon wants me to pay 360 dollars to reset my maxed out meteor shower. There just isn't any way in the world that is going to happen.

Does anyone know what happened with the skillpoints situation in the other versions? did they just hand out resets or what?

KMS gave a free total SP reset upon releasing Big Bang and another free total SP reset about a week after that.

But it means Nexon has to pay more money to more people, and they don't want that. I think Nexon's trying to get patche to GMS as fast as possible, or i'd like to belive that. Also, I'm hoping that for the past month's they've been working on changing our exclusive content. Honestly I think we have to see tespia before BB, or expect the worst (bugs, glitches, no balance or Gms=Kms, no exclusive content.)

According to this MMORPG.com article, NexonNA plans to have BB in 3 parts, spread throughout the winter.

Quote:The MapleStory Big Bang will be rolled out in three separate updates over the winter, complete with story and events. The Black Mage has unleashed his evil on Maple World and it will never be the same again. Can the heroes of Maple World prevail against this evil? Will they battle the Black Mage himself? Without spoiling anything, Cyrstin would only say that players will be playing through this apocalyptic event over the winter.
