5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Erebus - 2010-05-10 Takebacker Wrote:Like i said, cyclical discussion. I will b'itch if i want to b'itch and you or anyone else doesn't have a lick of say in the matter. Whether i'm wrong or right, thankful or ungrateful, in doing so the fact that i will get over it does not change. I have just as much say in the matter as you do, basically I can peach about your bitching. If you don't want to be "countered" don't post in a place anyone else can post to. >.> 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Takebacker - 2010-05-10 Kevo Wrote:So, Nexon gives everybody a 2x event and the first thing a lot of you guys say is how bad Nexon is? Considering how anybody can get a family 2x buff I can't believe you are still comparing to the past. I can't get any rep because i don't have a family. I don't use mini dungeons because O4 > skeles. The abundance of 2x in this scenario would offset the lack of 20% reduced exp. Would not complain if that happened. @ above: You're assuming that i care that someone over the internet that i don't know is b'itching about something, even if they're b'itching about me. You think i don't want to be countered? If i wanted to not be countered i wouldn't post at all...yet i have the highest post count on this forum? Makes sense. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Erebus - 2010-05-10 Sarah Wrote:Would have thanked them if they'd done 2x like every other year. It's all I EXPECTED (should've known better then to expect good things from Nexon. That's on me) from this patch. This doesn't even seem lazy or "thrown together". It feels like they thought that the poorly designed cake event and the worthless rings would make up for the lack of 2x events. But both of those events, while nice in addition, are just not good enough on their own. I would have been happy enough to tell people to stop complaining about this patch if they'd just done this right. But as of now, all we have is some poorly thought out events, an annoying PQ (hate PQ's anyway but that's me) and one day of 2x. Oh yeah, and a lot of lag. All of which could've been dust in the wind for even just a week of 2x. They've done it different every year... Year 2 didn't even have a "all day 2x EXP" event... Let's face it all this boils down to is you wanting more free EXP. That's it. You want more EXP, because you believe yourself to be entitled to more EXP (for no real reason other then you want it) @above if you want to be countered, then don't say i have no say in the debate over personal ideals expressed by another person. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Takebacker - 2010-05-10 Erebus Wrote:@above if you want to be countered, then don't say i have no say in the debate over personal ideals expressed by another person. So you're saying you have a say in my personal feelings and opinions? Yeah, ok. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Sarah - 2010-05-10 Erebus Wrote:They've done it different every year... Year 2 didn't even have a "all day 2x EXP" event... How about the fact that hundreds of people lost their accounts and I was forced to sit on mine 24/7 changing my password daily for which they still haven't acknowledged or apologized, or done anything to make up for. I definitely think we're all entitled, since they've done nothing to make up for the mess we were all affected by. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Kevo - 2010-05-10 Takebacker Wrote:I can't get any rep because i don't have a family. I guess buying 2x exp buffs is beyond your reach as well... Try Squids and Death Teddies, a ton of people told me they were the fastest exp around! Also, keep on countering. Always ready for more entertainment. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Erebus - 2010-05-10 Takebacker Wrote:So you're saying you have a say in my personal feelings and opinions? We've had one of those "incidents" every year, this isn't anything new, you of all people should know that. Even so the 12 hours of EXP would still be considered a "gift"/apology (if that is what you seem to think it is), it's just not as big as a gift as you want. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Cheesecake - 2010-05-10 At this point, I think people are just defending the event for the sake of argument. Try and look at it from our point of view. It's kind of like what happened with E3 a couple of years ago. For most years, E3 kept on getting bigger and better with each expo and even when it didn't you still knew good stuff was to come. But then that business summit pomegranate happened and the gaming community collectively face-palmed. 5th anniversary is like that business summit. No one feels entitled to a good gaming convention but after a while you sort of expect there to be booth babes, swag and large LCD TV's playing demos of upcoming games. The 5th anniversary event is like E3 without the booth babes and swag. Just like how reporters(who are sent to E3 for free) had a right to be mad at a crappy convention, Nexon users have a right to be mad at a pomegranaty event. edit* btw this doesn't help improve the lack of 2x exp released notice the day before it happens and it's on a Tuesday. wtp am i gonna do with 12 hours of 2x exp on a Tuesday D: 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Erebus - 2010-05-10 Cheesecake Wrote:At this point, I think people are just defending the event for the sake of argument. Don't you have to pay for E3... EDIT: It's like $600 for a non-pass ticket... I can see the right to be pissed there... not really for this since the game is (mostly) free2play. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Kevo - 2010-05-10 Sarah Wrote:How about the fact that hundreds of people lost their accounts and I was forced to sit on mine 24/7 changing my password daily for which they still haven't acknowledged or apologized, or done anything to make up for. Nobody forced you to change your password daily as well (I certainly didn't). Nexon's Terms of Use Wrote:YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE, OR ANY PART THEREOF, IS TO STOP USING THE SERVICE. IT'S SO SIMPLE. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Takebacker - 2010-05-10 Kevo Wrote:How about the fact you had to agree to Nexon's Terms of Use? Should i protest against him so that no one else has their teeth pulled out or should i put my tail between my legs and walk away while the dentist laughs at his teeth collection? 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Kevo - 2010-05-10 Takebacker Wrote:My dentist pulled all my teeth out. I don't think any dentist would force you to have all your teeth removed. It's the dentist's recommendation, and just like quitting Maple, having your teeth removed is a personal decision. 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Cheesecake - 2010-05-10 Erebus Wrote:Don't you have to pay for E3... Doesn't matter. That's what happened in the scenario. What's so hard about just answering the question? ;-; 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Erebus - 2010-05-10 Cheesecake Wrote:No. No apparently non-press passes are like $600 for a 3 day stay. The latter option would be my answer though, because you made such a foolish decision and the former would be fruitless =) 5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop - Takebacker - 2010-05-10 Kevo Wrote:Hypothetical scenario I hope.
