Also, related. Nerutu, but it's a bit more subtle; but it's kind of funny to see that the video clips all pronounce the name properly and yet we see the reporters calling it "Nerutu"- but not quite as loud enunciation.
This one's also a pretty decent watch about the death of a true sand ninja. It makes every argument about the Naruto fanbase being horrible more and more valid.

Because its popular and people want to feel superior, thus they pick on the most popular manga/anime in the western world becuase they're in a minority and it makes them feel better to kick and scream about it. It happens with almost everything that could fit under "pop culture".

One piece drags out episodes a lot more than naruto does at times, if you're watching one piece, at least lately, you can virtually guarentee its going to be 1 chapter/episode, but the a few recent naruto episodes have gone through as many as 4 chapters in one episode.

I started getting into Naruto when I was 14. Naruto, as an anime is annoying to watch. mainly because it has its fair share of fillers. I stopped watching the 1st set of Naruto after the Sasuke arc, because I wasn't wasting my time w/ 150+ episodes of filler. I tried to watch Shippuden when that came out, but the random fillers they threw in scared me away.
I dislike the Anime
The manga, on the other hand, is good enough for me, tells enough of the story, despite a few cliff hangers here and there.
The manga is cool
I don't really care about the origionality of it all, because Naruto is too origional to begin with. I've just been into th series so long, I wanna see how it ends, no matter how cheesy.
