This shows that they're using strategy and not relying on luck-factor. The only luck that plays in this is whether Scizor uses SD, Bullet Punch, Bug Bite/U-turn, or perhaps Brick Break.

Both are hypothetical 'what-ifs', the attacks and stats here are completely made-up, but you'll understand. I see as two entirely different things.
