Assuming that the critical ring ACTUALLY works with the first 3 hits of Assassinate, lolShadowers should use the Critical ring (4tth hit of Assassinate has an inherent critical); just something you might change there. I used the word 'assuming' above because SE still doesn't work with the first 3 hits of assassinate. Something tells me that the criticals still won't work even with these rings

My spoiler maze is still true no matter what, though. Adventurer Rings discussion - Kalovale - 2010-03-22 The damage shouldn't be at all worthy of consideration compared with the chance of activation then. The rings are worthless on their own, but when combined with another crit ability, they become pretty broken. Adventurer Rings discussion - Jellyflower - 2010-03-22 You know for heroes and paladins, it's better to keep your lilin ring if you solo. Adventurer Rings discussion - darksyte - 2010-03-22 Theory: 1) Make a noob character before the event 2) leave it until event starts 3) since the character already has existed, level it 30 times vs. 50 4) profit? Otherwise, Cruel ring for physical classes and Magical ring for magical classes. Buccs are open for debate, since they could benefit from any of the 3 rings in a weird way, but everyone else has an obvious, possibly situational choice (Crit ring). Is the gap in power a big difference with classes without criticals using a Cruel ring vs. a Critical ring with SE? If the difference in power is not that big, then I would just stick with a Cruel ring for solo purposes. The difference is mostly DPS, and the extra 10% chance of critical massively improves that if you have SE. The difference is pretty big when you're soloing (with SE), but many would argue that for classes that don't hit very often, such as Heroes and Paladins, the consistency of the Cruel/Lilin's Ring would be preferred over the inconsistency of a 15% vs 25% chance of crit. I would counter that, since those classes spend most of their time mobbing, killing one monster ahead of schedule means you can attack the next monster in the group that much sooner. So I still sand behind my spoilers, even in various training circumstances. So I still sand behind my spoilers, even in various training circumstances. My bad for not making it clear. I meant getting a Cruel ring for training without SE. I train without SE and boss with SE on a regular basis and I wanted to know which one will be the most beneficial ring to use in the long run. In fact... Lilin's Ring is better than the Cruel ring in the one situation that I said the Cruel Ring was the ring to choose. Even if you don't have access to Lilin's Ring, the Crit ring still gives some attack and would be only slightly less helpful when you don't have SE/Thorns, and much more helpful when you do. So lets try this again: Are you an NL/BM/MM/Aran/Evan/Dual Blader?
Yes
No

KaidaTan Wrote:Are you an NL/BM/MM/Aran/Evan/Dual Blader? No > No > No = Cruel. This does not apply for Shadowers, as I had said (they should use Critical). It actually doesn't matter if the critical works on the first 3 hits or not, the critical ring is still better. Of course, if they don't use the 4th hit on Assassinate then you would be right, but that IS the strongest DPS output for Shadowers (and Assassinate will be used more post-balance patch).
