Moe is when the plot and story of a character means nothing in the series because of the overload of cuteness.

Zephyr... A warning when watching TTGL. You're going to grow a beard, wrestle a bear, grow extra genitalia, and have Kamina believe in the the Kamina that believes in you.

Remember, your drill is the drill that will PIERCE THE HEAVENS!

Serious anime can have moe characters as well, though they fit in more with the slice of life comedy series. But it's simply more geared to personality traits that really make you "d'awwww"...or "Hnggggggggggg" in some cases.

Meh i like streaming, I'm not really into downloading stuff while i can watch it online, i have a decent speed so it streams quite nicely.

Unless there isn't a link for a anime im looking for and this is the case: I'm looking for an anime about an angel that is sent to protect a guy, but ends killing him with her huge ass mace every time and reviving him... it was named something like boku-... something... can't rememeber really.

back to code geass s2: S'HIT NINA IS AN IMPERIAL SCIENTIST?!?!?

You may find that, one day, downloading will have much greater appeal. Sometimes a show is just so gorgeous/stylish, it must be watched in proper quality. Bakemonogatari comes to mind.

Dokuro-chan. Pipiru piru piru pipiru pi!

@Spidey - I was referring to the character, not the whole series. The characters plot is practically nothing if she's just cute and modest.

In my opinion, this series would make Michael Bay chew a hat and swallow it in the realization he's been doing everything wrong and his whole definition of "epic" would be brutally thrown out of a window.
Seriously, I recall drills coming out of drills and cannons shaped like drills around the episodes that they were running around in Chōginga Daiguren/Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren. And let's not forget the insane amounts of fanservice that came out of this series.

For me, I thought Slumdog Millionaire was probably the most inspirational and beautiful thing despite it being somewhat cliche and predictable to grace my eyes on a screen for the year... and then came Gurren Lagann, which despite being even more cliche and predictable, made me cry and cheer so much as I was watching it, and there were simply beautiful lines such as
"Don't forget! Don't believe in you who believes in me, don't believe in me who believes in you, believe in you...who believes in yourself!"
. For some reason, I really loved a lot of shots out of this series. Assuming you saw episode 1, them taking their first leap above Jeeha Village and seeing the sky of the surface for the first time was beautiful and breathtaking for me that I actually began to tear up. Kamina was really a charismatic character who just redefined "manliness" for me and the sheer presence of Kamina's audacious character gave off seriously manly vibes; and the English VA didn't quite seem to nail it quite as well. The development of Simon for me throughout the first half of the series was amazingly uplifting and inspiring. The image that Spidey said also applies to me as well.

^ Yes.
Awesome anime is awesome.

I do love this anime dearly, and people really shouldn't judge it based on the
mecha parts! Its a great plot, and keeps you on the edge of your seat!! That's
so hard to do with some animes, because they're just.. I don't know repetative?
Predictable? Etc?? I've been out of the anime scene too long to know :f6:

If you like Yoko, the first Gurren Lagann movie gives her a pretty awesome fight scene in the end. The movie is watchable without spoiling yourself after you've finished episode 16 or so of the series. You'll know when you've gotten up the the point.

Like Eva, Gainax made their movies in recap style. It's basically a condensed version of the plot with added scenes, redrawn animation, and a different ending.

And remained epicness.

It was even more epic that I saw it with a couple hundred screaming gurren fans in one room at AX.
