It's not the meso begging that got me, it was the fact that people don't realize I'm AFK. I mean, even if you can't read or don't know what the acronym stands for, I'd expect anyone with common sense to realize that the person obviously isn't there.

I remember AFKing there all the time in 2007 on my mage, and I rarely ever got messages in my game window like that. Sometimes I'd get the "Hey, you there?" message, but the person would leave after that, realizing that I'm not.
