A little rant about the game's development. - Takebacker - 2009-09-28 Dusk Wrote:What the pineapple? If Arans can just wail on bosses without retribution, why hasn't KMS killed PB yet? If Arans can just wail on bosses without retribution, why hasn't KMS killed PB yet? 1 hour of dps is more difficult there than in global, they don't have apples :p And they'd have to find a willing Aran (or 2-3, to be safe against D/Cs, what with PB's entrance fee being hilariously high), I know there's one that just hit 200 but that doesn't mean the server has an active PB group. Not to come off as hostile but Nexon (whatever region) are just merchandisers essentially. Wizet overall is the programmer, the suggestions do have to go through Nexon but, it's all dependent on how Wizet takes it as well. If they agree these changes would be nothing but beneficial I'm sure it be tested at NX korea or pushed for it. Technically Nexon America and Nexon Korea no longer have any affiliation. (That might not be the right word, obviously with the same company name but Nexon America "broke off" with them when they released some other game, can't recall the name) However Wizet chooses to do its changes on KMS for whatever reason. But this isn't a history lesson, I believe it would at least put a bug in their ear. Theres' no real harm but like a dollar in postage stamps. Hell, if I got a translator I'd send it to nexon korea and let the big hancho's get a wiff of what the community wants.

I know the difference between the two, but people say nexon because they're both one and the same. I don't see how nexon would see it as beneficial or worth the time though. Unless they see it as a thing where a fresh take on each class would increase each players "lifetime" using their product, but the chances of it going that far up the corporate ladder because of a small group of american players who think it would be a "rad" idea is extremely low. ![]() ImVindictive Wrote:Technically Nexon America and Nexon Korea no longer have any affiliation. Nexon Korea and Nexon America are both divisions of the Nexon corporation, and they have affiliation in that way. Because the HQ is in Korea, everything that pertains to root changes in the way the game works has to go through there. (as well as like design and stuff but i don't think anyone is sure on how that works) Exclusive content is different but exclusive content never did anything to how classes function as a whole, just how they co-exist within the game. Whoops I misread that "NEXON America first started as NXGames in October 2005. By partnering with Wizet, NEXON America cosigned and acquired publishing rights of MapleStory in North America. On November 2, 2006, NXGames began marketing their business as NEXON America and dropping the NXGames name." When I first read that I assumed NXgames=Nxcorp. Fortunatly wiki edited it to make it slightly less confusing. It's still easily attainable if the boss isn't fighting back. I'm not buying that Arans can freeze PB. A little rant about the game's development. - OutterCast - 2009-09-29 There aren't much contents left for MapleStory. KMS or Nexon Korea has been too focus on releasing new jobs instead of improving old jobs. I do agree to a small extent that MapleSEA is rushing a bit on its patches. But after looking at other MapleStory Servers like MapleTaiwan :f6:, their patching speed is insane. After going through another round of thinking, other than new job and world tour left, there aren't any new places to be release. They should work towards that area too. For example, MapleSEA will be release Neo Tokyo in the next patch and Aran in Q4 2009 (perhaps the patch after next), they won't have anything to release other than world tour areas. Look at MapleTaiwan, their patches were filled with World Tour Areas nowadays. GMS is known for making broken content so who knows we might get some uber training ground or revamped class additions. Well that could be bad too.. Notice: We decided to give Night Lord's SE and increase their TT damage to 600%. We took away all mages attacks besides ultima to make sure they can't boss and lastly have given all warriors Flash jump. Players:...What about paladin and shadower? Nexon: Da hell are those? Heh, even other players have forgotten about Marksman...6 of the top 8 MM in Bera have been inactive for more than a month. I think it says a lot about our class... Or about the month of September, which is not good for gaming in general. MS releases pomegranatety events, people go back to school, why grind? I know at least half the top 8 were active in August, and at least a couple did 160-190 type jumps over the summer. My Paladin has gained all of 2% over the entire month, and I'm not inactive, just not training. I have a problem with a lot of the percentages and skills shadowers and pallies have though, the classes really need a step up so they are competitive with other classes. Another thing I find disappointing is the functions and features in the game. I'm not sure about JMS and KMS though it does seem they've got a ton of other stuff, whilst all we do is kill stuff in our server. Years ago I would've thought the minigames and minigame room in Henesys would have grown to something bigger but it has remained as it is as an abandoned project. I'm pretty sure KMS/JMS has more minigames which make Maple a lot more of a social thing. Personal stores should also be free, with the option of expanding your store or adding other options to it like a sales notifier. Most MMOs do provided these things ingame.
